Mike. take the negative off first and leave it off till you are done messing around with the positive. As long as the negative is off, no issue if you happen to short positive to ground.
Try Leaving the negative off until the end. If the negative is connected when you go to install the positive it will start to arc and spark when installing. I’m sure you know that, probably just a brain fart. Keep up the good work with the tractor content.
Off road truck lights and magnet mounts.... Wonderful things You can put lights just about anywhere. I found a light bar that just fits inside the ROPS along the upper bar. Makes mowing at night almost like mowing in daylight. I put strong magnets along the wire, so it is easy to move, but stays where you put it. LOVIMAG 60 lbs Holding Force Neodymium Cup Magnets, Industrial Strength Round Base Rare Earth Magnets with Heavy Duty Countersunk Hole and Stainless Screws for Tool Room,Workplace etc, Pack of 12
First rule: disconnect the negative from the battery, then connect the positive wire to the positive terminal, then connect the negative wire to the battery when reconnecting to the battery. No welding happens.
I think I would mount them on top of the roll bar instead of under the bar. On top would give you more clearance between your head and the light and the bugs that will be seeking the light.
Always undo the negaitve terminal first, wire your device to the positive side, then wire the negative side, and THEN reattach the negative terminal. Do you know how strong your magnets are? I would hate for that light bar to clunk me on my noggin driving over the rough stuff I drive over. ~I see they are 50 pound pull on the web~
Mike called me directly and I was able to explain the circumstances of my incident. He was a class act and replaced my light. What a great response to what I’m sure is a rare circumstance. Thanks again, Mike!
Mike contacted me personally and we attempted to explore the root cause of the magnets failure. He was great and replaced my light! I really appreciate it, Mike!
How about magnet lights that are to go on the side of the loader arms so the lights are above the bucket or whatever you are carrying in the bucket or on forks?
That might work, I think one side will have hoses/hydraulic lines in the way of mounting a light on the inside and possibly clearance issues. A lot of front end loaders have a welding bead down the top that would prevent the magnets from holding. I like the idea, I'm just not sure how you could make a package that would fit the bulk of tractors that are out there.

I used to like watching your videos, but feel like your videos are just the newest version of infomercials. I understand that's how you get paid, but that's kind of the problem. I now cringe when you show up on my you tube feed. Sad.

That’s why you always leave the negative connection loose until all other connections are made 😁
I like this light Mike !

I have the RBI light on my Massey Ferguson GC1725M. I love it.
Flying sparks!😄 I've done that before.
I usually keep negative disconnected until i have the positive done and have tape wrapped on the handle.
The RBI is the best.

DISCONNECT ground... then do the positive, then do the ground.
I love your videos, Mike - but I have to say $240 for a 12v LED light and switch is extortionate. All the best for future videos -

Thanks Mike. I like the light's long electrical cord. I'll have to check that out. 👍🏽🤠 11/10/22
always hook the negative last, that means always!!

Your pretty fast with that socket for a old guy.😄
I'm not sure he is pretty.

Mike, you could disconnect the negative terminal first but that would end the excitement.
If you leave your negative terminal disconnected until you finish wiring up the positive, you can avoid the fireworks show.
Light are also important during the winter while moving snow , Day or night.
I like most of tractor Mikes stuff but I had a terrible experience with this. Magnets failed on open smooth ground, ended up on the ground and broken.
Mike called me directly and I was able to explain the circumstances of my incident. He was a class act and replaced my light. What a great response to what I’m sure is a rare circumstance. Thanks again, Mike!

I had some shipping issues with my RBI light. Damage was occurring during shipment. Mike called me personally as well. I will buy from him again.

Good question ❓

I see your domain name for sale. Are you going out of business? How and where can I find these lights with magnets

I think everyone is positive the battery negative should be removed first and reconnected last.
I don't like magnet mounts. Give me nuts, bolts and washers all day every day.
Mike Mike Mike pos first neg last no welding
now you can rabbit hunt at night!!!
