I'm looking for us to play our cleanest and most inspired game of the season on Saturday. We do that, we should cruise into the bye week, followed by another tuneup then a real shot at leaving A&M undefeated. Measurable improvement across the board needs to be obvious on Saturday.
Tennessee going to #6 really means nothing. They have Alabama next and need to beat them to stay in the top 6. Even though it should not be, it is all about losses. If you lose, you drop, if you win, you stay close to where you were. Missouri has it future in its own hands. Just keep winning.
Totally agree that the national attention on Mizzou is buried below Georgia, Texas and Bama due to those programs' histories and fanbases. Then you have Ole Miss (with basically celebrity coach Kiffin) and Tennessee who is scoring TDs at will with a highly touted QB. Mizzou is just going to be buried unless we beat one of these programs. Bama is the only one of these teams we play this year, so that's our chance. Not to get ahead of oursleves, but because our schedule is weaker and we don't play those other teams... if we don't beat Bama and we go 11-1, I can still see us potentially ranked under all of those other teams, even if those other teams have 2 lossses.
So Vandy beats VaTech and all of a sudden the country is scared of them lol. They're still Vandy. This is going to be a blowout. Mizzou is going to come out angry as hell for not putting the exclamation point on a game that got away from them against BC. Mizzou by 30.
@@cfb-smothered-and-covered Mizzou barely beat an awful middle tennessee state team last year, it didn't mean that Mizzou wasn't good. North Carolina state is a good program with talent and good coaching. They meet Tennessee in a big early season game on national TV on a neutral field and Tennessee housed them. Tennessee looks dominant through 3 games, Mizzou looks solid. There is no shame in being ranked one spot behind Tennessee right now especially when you add that Cook looks to be a limited and at his peek as a player while Iamaleava looks like he could be a special talent. Maybe Mizzou rises again, obviously I hope they do, but in my opinion, any reasonable fan should be able to see that Tennessee looks like the higher upside team right now.
How is it I've not seen it mentioned anywhere that we played against Pavia in 2022 when he was New Mexico State's QB? I put it at Tigerboard then that with a better team he'd be very dangerous. The first two games, the Commodores looked like they offered that possibility, last week..not so much. Secondary tightens up, we contain, and there done by the end of the half. We shoot ourselves in the foot and it's a game.
People on reddit from Zoller's hometown are saying he had to be put to sleep on the field due to the pain. I'm hearing that it's a broken ankle and possibly something in his knee/leg too. It doesn't sound like a short road to recovery.
@chadkeeven Did you watch it? His foot was at a over a 90 degree angle. It's bone, ligament, & tendons. His entire body was folded at a weird angle. I imagine it'll be a series of operations. They have one where they take ligaments from other parts of the body & stitch them in to reinforce. I imagine that they'll do something like that. I would be pleasantly surprised if he gains full mobility back. But he's young, young ppl heal quickly & are able to make a full recovery more easily then us older folk. Hope for the best for him. It really sucks.
@@JMFBizzle Yup I watched the vid. Opposing players appeared to run away in shock when they saw it and his teammates immediately were waving for medical help. After seeing and about the injury, he'll be lucky if he touches a football field before 2026. Honestly, I wouldn't rule out that he doesn't ever play again or a 2-4 year recovery. BUT, I'm not a medical expert by any means.
He needs to stop trying so hard ,, he can a be great QB no matter what,, he’s just a little anxious and trying to make a big play happen , the key is to relax stay focus and play smart he can do some damage to any team if he does that,,
Rooting for Buffalo and BC to win important games this weekend. Would help us. I think both will continue to look gooder. Tennessee deserves to be above for now. Stomp Vanderbilt. Zollers get healthy by 2026 next year is the Drew Pyne show.
Wow that sux about Zoellers. It seems like it's always something with Mizzou... I hope he has a speedy recovery. I've had multiple ankle injuries playing sports. He may need that surgery where they take another ligament to shore up the ones that are messed up. The good thing is he's 17, so he should heal quickly. It also sucks that he's coming in with no in game play for a year. Do you think Pyne is our QB next year, or are they going to go to the portal? I don't think Horn is coming back to the fb team. He's going to focus on baseball.
@LockedOnMizzou Some of these G5 schools are pulling upsets or being very competitive with P4 schools. Some these QBs look really good, like the GA ST QB 6'5", balling out. The 6'3" guy from NIU also balling out. Toledo has a 6'3" QB. These guys are tearing it up even with a talent deficit against P4 schools. There's a bunch of other guys doing the same. I think it'll be a hot QB market.
@@JMFBizzle Don't know. I thought we had a chance to keep Drink but after this Zoller injury I think he may jump to Florida. We had a future plan in place and now it's uncertain.
do you think Brady Cook is "pressing" to much and part of the reason for his not being on target for the longer pass plays? just seems he needs to settle down quicker.
He's always had that issue remember he grew up a mizzou fan he knows how programs talk about us I think he's too hard on himself and early season timing it will get better
He definitely seems to be carrying the weight of the teams expectations on his shoulders during these first few weeks. Good moment for Drink or Kirby to pull their guy aside and tell him to relax and enjoy these last few months of his Mizzou career and just have fun playing ball.
Mizzou has contained him before when he was at NMSU. No doubt Drink is showing the boys that film this week. Also heard Pavia took some kind of shot in his leg last week to improve his mobility. So hes entering banged up. We’ll see how impressive he is saturday
TEN plays OU. If TEN wins they're solidly ahead of us for a month until they play ALA. If they lose we jump them. I could also see MIA jumping is if they beat USF handedly.
Tennessee deserves to be ranked over Mizzou. They dominated the top 25 team they played, the Tigers eeked out a win against BC. Tennessee has the better QB as well.
