Clark Lea knows Vanderbilt will stupidly pull the trigger on him if he doesn’t do well this season and it’s a tall task in the SEC which is why they played great today. I also laugh at the people saying Missouri has an easy schedule until you realize how good the teams are this year.

He's been inconsistent at times because he's not as accurate on the deep ball as you would like. And occasionally he stares down a throw to Luther or Theo... he's not the best qb in the country by any stretch but he is probably better than he's played this year. He's a solid B level college starter on a team that has enough talent everywhere else to compete at a high level. Mizzou hasn't played anywhere near their best yet this year. They have played below average to bad for about a quarter or more in every game this year.... hopefully that doesn't continue or this season with so much opportunity of unprecedented success for Mizzou football will be very disappointing

Make 2 easy field goals and don't give up a stupidly called drop-back pass with lousy protection right before half leading to a Vandy field goal, and Mizzou wins by 9, regardless of how poorly coached and executed the rest of the game was. I think team speed, especially on defense, is not as good as Mizzou believes. Several times our backers were late flying wide or unable to change direction from the outside to the middle. And, Cook's not throwing well because he's used to getting guys wide open against the patty-cakes we played the first two games. They were playing for the long-ball against Burden, and Cook was afraid to go intermediate because they closed on our guys a lot quicker. You can't coach speed, and Mizzou has to figure out how to coach against it more effectively because their athleticism isn't an advantage against the bigger schools who match or exceed them now.
