I like my Sedona because I can fold up th3 middle row flat against the front. This is better still because you can also completely remove them. Kudos Kia.

@@AidenRZ777 The US and Canadian versions do not allow having the 2nd row seats face the rear. Chrysler had Swiverl and Go seats as recently as 2010, so it's not clear if the US safety laws evolved, it's an implementation issue, or it's something to do with adding child car seats in this configuration.
@@johnnyc5922 I tried to flip our 2nd row to face backwards. It doesn't work. (In the U.S. , 2022 Carnival)
@@ScottLangford are you able to remove the middle seat in the second row to allow space to access the 3rd row like in a normal minivan

FYI we are in Canada. We did not know this simple way so more than 1 hour struggled and gave up

This reversed second-row mode is so IMPRESSIVE! I am struggling between Sienna and Odyssey for our family car (to be honest, I prefer Sedona but it was discontinued). I should definitely try Carnival if the quality of this car is the same as Sienna and Odyssey.

When is this new 4th generation coming to India. I have bee eyeing this new model since the launch of your old Carnival.
Bigger than innova. But does kia cars are good mechanically? The performance? Comfort? etc. In India the most liked mpv is Toyota Innova. Everything with is good. This carnival will become hit only if the previous model was hit, and the new one should be better than Innova. More seating is essential but The Innova is ruling

I did a test drive with this car and I absolutely love this car, I wish they would have something like the chrysler stow n go where the 2nd row seats fold in the ground like the 3rd row and I would get it today, I currently drive a chrysler pacifica I hate the car, it's not reliable, the material they use both from inside and outside is low quality junk, but there is one reason I still have the car it's called stow n go

@@gka5069 so apparently. On a Kia carnival forum. There is a slight modification that can be done to allow the US version to convert the middle row to rear facing. Im not sure what it is but the guy said it took him about 3 minutes to figure it out. There are restrictors that can be removed I guess

Can the third row seats be removed?
What are the interior height of the cargo space when second row seats are removed and the third row seats are stowed? I see the length and width are 2440mm x 1220mm which are about 96in x 48in, but what about the height? Thanks!
The third row can be folded into the floor.
I don’t believe it can be removed, but it folds flat into the floor which is the same effect as removing the seats in most vans

I drive a KIA Sorento UM. Indeed, it’s a very good looking & well built vehicle to own. However, I noticed there’s a design flaw which is not being rectified by KIA even in the latest Sorento & Carnival. It’s also not mentioned or brought up by many well known journalists, at least from those many reviews I have watched on UA-cam.

I asked my Kia dealer about flipping the 2nd row seats around to face the 3rd row and they don't know anything about it... They said they can't do it :-(

There are some UA-cam videos out there that show you how to do a simple modification to allow it. Most dealers don't know how. They just know it's been disabled for their market.

Let me go on record saying the 2 row facing mode sucks. Because of the angle of the seat backs the second row is nearly touching the 3rd row to make this work. Not worth it. Plus they put some lockout on the US models and you have to pry a little lock tab out of the way to use it.
I was really looking forward to doing this but immediately went back to normal mode......😔😔
