It only takes time for people to recognize that Morricone is on the same level as Mozart, Bach, Beethoven etc. Thank God I saw him alive in concert.

His noble music makes us remember the power of love and music.

by far... one of the prettiest works of art i have ever seen. as a homeless man.. living and working out of my car on the mountain... i would drive down to get a shower at 3 am in a gym.. and listen to this song... on the way down to town... .. knowing my work for God, country, and self preservation lay ahead. The Song reminds me of the sunrise.... hope, righteousness, ... hope for true dignity. the version i listened to then.. was with Yo Yo Ma ... i will never forget those mornings....

"Gabriel's Oboe" theme is one of the most (if not the most itself) heart-melting, soul-breaking and chills-giving melodies and musical compositions that have ever been created. Every time I listen to it I have a mix of feelings: tears fight to roll out of my eyes while I realize the incomensurable power that humans do own to create beauty and, at the same time, to destroy beauty. Just for this masterpiece alone, Ennio Morricone deserves eternal recognition.

Ennio always used to play with the same orchestra, I went twice to his concert and the oboist used to get it’s own applause but again, this lady, it’s the best. Thanks for your comment. I seen his last world tour in Dublin & he commented that the concert goers were so uninhibited cheerful that he felt it was more like a rock concert its why he came back . A truly amazing man & his orchestra are talented beyond belief my jaw was catching flies , A night I'll take to my grave with a smile & Gabriel's Oboe in my ears . Heaven . What a man . Ennio Morricone said that sometimes ideas for music came to him in his dreams which is why he always slept with a notepad and a pencil by his bed. This truly is music of dreams. Heavenly dreams. I have no words. Even after 30 years ( since I heard it for the first time), it still brings on elation and tears. Every time, without a fail.

There are no words to describe the love that I have for this masterpiece, I feel an explosive mix of feelings when I hear it, I feel levitate and flew through the clouds, and from there I can reach back to the past, in my past, and I can see that in some of the most beautiful and important moments of my life, this unequaled soundtrack was always there...
I've heard this music over and over, unending times, in moments of passion and love, on my wedding ceremony, when I was blessed by the birth of my two beloved sons, even when my son learned how to play flute, he offered me the privilege to play it for his dad.
This sublime music gave a meaning to my existence, filling my life with love, joy and tears, yes, I always feel my eyes wet when I remember that this masterpiece certainly it was composed in the heaven, because everyone can feel it a divine presence. If one day someone reaches to the paradise, I am sure it will be received for this music.
Thank you so much Ennio Morricone for having allowed the mortals to feel this unique moment, when they are still on this planet.
