#rossi #taurus
Simple, rugged, beautiful and affordable.
I'll be purchasing one of these, bases on the quality of a 30-year-old Rossi. 38 I've had and used with zero. Problems for years.
Can't beat it for the price
I love the old school firing pin ill get it just for that
It really is a well made gun.
Rossi is great❤
I've got a couple Taurus 65's that are just as accurate and reliable as any Smith or Ruger wheel gun I own, I'm seriously thinking about getting me one of these, Rossi snubs were everywhere when I was coming up, uncle Tony kept one under his cash register.
I love the Rossi, cheap, well made and a good little shooter.
The Rossi is the way to go. I had the Taurus 605 and the Rossi is better in many ways.
Heavier which handles recoil.
Better rounded grip.
6 shots vs 5 shots!
I've had the RP63 for a few months. 700 rounds thru it, it's good to go. Solid little gun.
I love that it has a proper rebound slide action.
Revolvers don't have slides.
WTF
@@jamesjohnson4163 My thoughts exactly
@@gregb6469Rebound slide. It is a small sliding block in the action that acts as a hammer block. S&W has used it for well over a century.

Love my Rossi rp63.
It's a great gun at a great price
Hi Frank! I'm in the market for a .357 revolver now. Rossi came back first with the 6" version, little big for me. This hits all the marks! 3" barrel perfect for carry. Nice knurled wide spur hammer. Wide trigger shoe, good leverage. Would be a nice present for me! I also seen your video with the new grips. Great job both videos!
Best to ya',,,,!
Those LOK grips are awesome on this gun
My wife and I bought these for ourselves for Christmas/B-day presents. It's a good gun, not great or spectacular but, solidly good. We paid between 350 and 375 for each. I especially like the fully semi-automatic Ghost gun button....... LMAO!!!!!
I just ordered on e of these... reminded of of a Smith and Wesson model 65, but for half the price. I have a Ruger Speed Six with fixed sights which I love. I think this will be a great gun to have in the truck, or glove box, or to just carry concealed.
You will love it.
Speaking of no snag i would really live this in a DAO
That would be great!
I plan to add a 357 revolver to my collection as a Christmas gift. I ruled the 2-inch snubbies because of the recoil. The 3-inch seems perfect for recoil management and EDC. The Rossi is 1/2 the price of a S & W so this is my choice.
You will love it, it's a great shooter and a great gun for the price.
Also it’s better than the Taurus 605. I’ve had one and now got the Rossi.
I'v got a 2'in rossi 357mag 462. that made it by the recall have carry it for years i think i see a 3'in for my B day soon😅😅😂
They are great guns for the money.
I would rather a 2” with adjustable rear sights. I hope these rossis do well though and create more market competition in revolvers.
This is a good start. It's a great little gun.
Who offers a 2" with adjustable rear sights in 357 magnum
@@adamallison3685Indeed never have seen such an animal.
I like mine
It's a great little gun
Nice!
It's a great little shooter for the price.
Picked up one of these a few months ago. I haven’t figured out which IWB holster would work well. It’s a slimmer than a K frame and I don’t want a retaining strap. 🤷♂️
I never buy a holster with a retaining strap.
Look up Sticky holsters.
I use them for all my IWB. You don’t need a retention strap with these.
hey my brotha, great revolver n vid there , i would love to see that in hammerless for c.c.w./c.c.l. , def. a company thats not well know but great stuff indeed, keep em coming n i am a u.s. marine vet here 93' to 97' active n will forever support ya 1 million % , talk soon > tom !
Thanks brother
Piqued my interest.
I love this gun, it's a good shooter
Great video. Will be getting one of these soon, but I can't find a IWB holster for it anywhere. Any suggestions?
Any holster for a S&w J Frame revolver will work.
@@progun45 Thank you!!
@@progun45Interesting. I thought it was K frame size.
I wouls start with 1791 Gunleather or Versacarry
It does not have a magazine, it has a cylinder, which has six chambers.
A cylinder isn't a magazine. It does have 6 chambers though.
Would you buy another just to NY Reload?
Yup
Recently got one, and I really like it. The only issue I'm having with it is the area between the back of the trigger guard and the grip is kind of tight, and the back of the trigger guard hits my middle finger knuckle when I shoot it which is painfull after a while. Does anyone else have this issue or a remedy for it?
I have no issues with mine but I did replace the grips with over sized grips.
Is this a center fire or rim fire revolver? Can I dry fire this gun? I called customer service and she said I need snap caps. Hmm
This is a 357 Magnum, so it is Center Fire. You don't need to use snap caps on any modern day revolver but I use them anyway because I practice loading and unloading.
Never hurts to use snap caps. They are cheap.
It has an old-school firing pin. Is it safe to dry-fire or do you need Snap-Caps?
I always use snap caps on my revolvers
Can it fit in a pocket holster and be carried in the front pocket of a pair of blue jeans or is it too big?
It can but it wouldn't be too comfortable
@@progun45 Thank you.
The grip looks small for someone like me with large hands. I do like it has a 3 inch barrel wonder how easy it is to find holster options.
I replaces the grips with Lok grips.. Watch my Lok grips review. Holsters are easy to find
Good to know
Picked one up last month, anyone know of a leather OWB holster made for this model.
Try 1791 Gunleather
1:57- is it me or did the ejector rod wobble as you spun the cylinder? Can that cause the revolver to fail?
The ejector rod does not wobble may have been glare or a camera angle. Even if it did, it wouldn't cause a failure since the ejector rod is only use to eject cases and has nothing to do with the cinder.
I bought 1 offline I sold it quickly. I wished there had been 1 in my area to check out first. If you have big hands the trigger guard is going to dig into your middle finger. Other than that, the gun is ok.
I guess I got lucky.
not a fan of that firing pin. too much like the old single action Army, 5 beans in the wheel.
That’s my main issue with it - no transfer bar and that firing pin can set it off if dropped and resting on a loaded chamber. Shame, loved it otherwise.
Are Rossi revolver made in USA
They are made in Brazil. Rossi is owned by Taurus.
its a taurus
I know that, I believe I mentioned it. It is still a nice gun for the price.
rossi revolvers were sold to taurus who makes them now.
Taurus still owns them
yep@@progun45
Needs a rear sight. Hammer is going to get caught on the clothing so.....
Why does it need a rear sight?
A rear sight will hang up more than the hammer.
I have found that in a self defense revolver I prefer fixed sights to adjustable. Less to snag, but also it is much much faster to quickly get on target and get a shot off, almost like a shotgun with a bead vs needing to line up sights.
When I carried a model 36 I just put my thumb on the hammer when drawing. No problems.
