I'm an official Gold Mine claim owner as of yesterday! Fees paid and receipts with signatures. Thanks for the education Chris! P.S. it is in Washoe county.
I agree. Most of the Placer gold here in So. NV is small and very low grade. Lode, on the other hand, is quite rich. That's why I cross into AZ. Placers much better. Thanks for sharing this wealth of info. Merry Christmas and best of luck next year ! 🤠⛏️⚒️👍
Have you ever detected in the Johnnie district Chris? (39 on your Nye map) Just outside of Pahrump, when I lived in Vegas I went out there a few weekends and I got skunked every time plus you can’t get anywhere near the actual Johnnie mine out there. It’s all private now.
Do you have any info on the onion valley area. I have a claim on bird creek and Nelson Creek. Pretty jagged gold and a few species from them. Also found 2 mines 3 admits and 1 open pit on my claims. Being 60 acres total i will never on my own cover all the ground so I have been looking for historical info on the mining in the area. Any pointers where I can get the info.
Hey Chris hope you're doing good, I have a question, I'm in Arizona and I'm not having any luck finding an assayers office, I've got some rocks I'd like to see what is in them
For all my ore testing I use: ALS Minerals, 4977 Energy Way, Reno NV 89502 Their Phone number is (775) 356-5395. You'd to mail stuff to them, but they do good work.

out off the 62 the indian tribe was trading gold in the early 1800's. before the gold rush just nobody said anything. ,even i have some california gold 👍👍👍. have a good day boss
Well we all heard it said, are you mining for gold when your picking your nose. Well I don't know any bigger noses than Mt Rushmore and Lincoln's nose has got to be the mother load 😂😂😂
Too bad Idaho didn't make the list. With how extensive Idaho's history is- I was under the assumption that it was a major producer. Idaho has only produced between 8 and 9.3 million ounces. Dang! XD

That's awesome, I hope you find a lot of gold!
Good luck
Interesting video Chris. I highly recommend your book. It answers so many questions, even for old timers.
Thanks for the kind words! I'm glad it was helpful.
This is great for a cold Saturday morning up here in Saskatchewan, Canada.
Glad you enjoyed it.

why does jeff williams almost exclusively hang out in.... arizona?
Jeff lives in Southern Nevada, and the placers are much better there. He does do some mine exploration around Searchlight and that is in Nevada.
