Nice find! I hauled a 93F out of a dry garage in Canada 6 years ago. A South African car with no rust. I redid the brakes and some electrical work and a tune-up and I'm driving it today. I don't mean to brag but it's mint and probably the oldest Saab in Canada.
What a wonderful find! I had a 1965 back in the early 70's. It was great fun, 3 cylinder with oil injection. A carburetor for each cylinder. A Montecarlo model if I remember correctly!
@@dougpeterson5257 Aha i'm understand! Becouse the movie was from Sweden. Good luck mate! I live in Thailand now and see maybe one SAAB one time a year. And only SAAB 2000 but old and new Volvo very often.
I had a 1967 one of those, in Alaska. Got it in the early 80’s for 25$. I was still in high school. Has the 3 cylinder 2 stroke. The crank was bad and I never got it to run. Still in the woods on my moms old property… weird but cool cars. I kind of want one.
I had two Saabs in the early 1970s, both two stroke. The first one (93) was a single carb model with a freewheel device and the second was a triple carb model (96). The first model used to go like a rocket on a misty day. Both cars were very reliable and we as a family went all over England in them.
They were honest cars. I nursed off of DkWs to get my first SAAB, a '64 "96" and then onto several 'Long Nose' models which had come to foul conditions due to owner ignorance, I think. There was lots of engine swaps and many enjoyable miles in these roomy autos. I even used to tow my motorcycles on a trailer behind them. I wasn't in a hurry... .
back in 1975 a friend of mine showed up with a mint saab 2stroke that had a new factory motor installed it was ownedby a nurse his mother worked with 1970,1 and that was a fun car she was tired of adding oil every fillup so she bought a mustang brand new 1974 and hebought the saab

Cool! Nice that you will give new life for that old Saab. Here in Finland the biggest collection of Saabs is Arthur Rafael Huhta's (1922-2006) collection. He had collected all models he could. Today that collection is stored in Uusikaupunki/Nystad car museum that is next to the Valmet Automotive factory where also Saabs were manufactured for decades. Many of those old Saabs have registration plates with letters ARH as his initials.
