I did use the pre-save link campaign on my debut track and it really did work I didn't spend much on the Facebook campaign but actually had over 70 pre-saves. I did a short promo video with my music in the background taking about the track and looking relaxed with a cuppa. I gave distrokid 4 weeks advanced notice to possibly get on a Spotify playlist but it wasn't to be but in all honesty nobody knows you on your first track its understandably as they need algorithmic information on how your track is progressing. I did pay to get on a playlist but I would rather usually always try to give enough notice to Spotify to on one of there organic playlists as pay to play or hear is not I know recommended. Great content. Is there a way to get your Spotify pre-save link directly from Spotify if you use Distrokid? Distrokid's pre-save link makes the person have to give their email and is a bit clunky. There have been a lot of complaints about it.
Great video! Distrokid uses hyperfollow for its pre-save links which makes whoever pre-saved your track automatically start following you on Spotify, therefore pushing you out into more release radar playlists!
What pre-save service doesn't need login information when you push the button "pre-save"? I see that some services, like Distrokid, login information is needed, especially when the pre-save campaign is posted on Facebook. This makes the campaign less effective as people have to log in with password and their user name (or their Facebook information) to pre-save the song. I have also seen other ads where the user just click the button and is redirected to the app. This is what I want, no login information. Just a redirection to the app automatically. Is this possible? Which services provide this?
I agree if it would open in the spotify App. The Presave link does only open the Webbrowser to register for Spotify unfortunately.. is there any hack or work around?!
I'm going to be uploading my next single 2 weeks in advance via Distrokid, and I was wondering.. should I try to get as many pre-saves as I can prior to submitting to the editorial playlists? For example: upload song 2 weeks before release, once I get a pre-save link get as many peeps as I can to pre-save, then wait till 1 week before release submit to the editorial playlists via Spotify for Artists? Would that help? Or should I just submit to the editorial playlist as soon as I see my song on the Spotify for Artists tab (even if I still have 2 weeks till it's live on Spotify) and continue to try to get peeps to pre-save up until the release?

got a question i know everyone is obsess with Spotify but what about Deezer and Apple music it does make sense to put all energy into spotify while the other half of the audience's are just on apple music and deezer i seen it is possible to claim your artist profile on apple music and deezer and when you make a playlist with your music it recommends your music and similar acts to you not sure how deezer works i think it's untapped platform especially for French market

The biggest problem with videos like this is, in theory it sounds amazing and most artists are willing to put in the hard work but most of these videos are just great in theory. If you haven't got an audience or fan base or anything like that, all these theories have no affect and you just waste your time. They always presume that artists have a following or some sort but in fact a lot of small artists just don't have the fan base or the audience and they just want to get one so they can implement these types of videos
Spotify really isn’t a very supportive platform for small artists. Also for discovering unknown artists it’s terribly challenging. A focus on bandcamp is very useful and helpful I’d say. Nobody ever mentions bandcamp. For those who don’t know: Most money goes to the artists and you can easily discover so much unknown music or upload your own music there for free too.

Interesting, I was under the impression that pre-saves were not that helpful and that if you are asking for a favor, you are better off asking fans to just follow you on Spotify, because pre-saves mean they have to re-login to spotify, and a pre-save doesn't guaranty they will listen to the song when it comes out, which wouldnt have any effect on the algorithm? But if you ask them for the favor of a 'follow' they will be served the song automatically in their new music friday list?
Spotify do not have pre-save function. As an artist I'v checked this and got clear response from Spotify. Ask your self....has anyone got any notification after using pre-save. No. So save your time and focus on something else.

I’m very frustrated because we are having about 1k average visits for our hyperfollow page but about .5 percent of that actually save the track. I found that it’s making our fans manually log in to Spotify which is an inconvenience. I’ve presaves tracks and it didn’t make me do that. Anyone know if there is anything I can do to fix that

Doesn't make a difference really, they're not looking at that.
Submit via Spotify for Artists as early on as you can if possible!

What is a good save to stream ratio? How many saves should you have on 1000 streams for example? Thanks for great videos! :)
Your song should have about a 10% save-stream ratio. Meaning, if you have 10,000 streams, your song should have about 1,000 saves.
