Which civ has the Best Cavalier?? | Age of Empires 2
Вставка
- Опубліковано 5 лип 2024
- There are so many civs with the cavalier upgrade, I don't even know where to start. I kept the best bonuses that could find about the knight line and present them to you, testing them individually and against each other to find the best cavalier of them all. Some of these civs are Persians with plus 2 attack against Archers, the Franks, with Cavaliers that have +20% hit points starting in Feudal Age and their unique tech the Chivalry: Increases the production speed of stables by +40%, +2 line of sight. The Sicilians with 33% less bonus damage, Hauberk: Knight-line receive +1 melee and +2 pierce armor, The Bulgarians with Faster attack speed, the Teutons with extra armor, the Malians with the infamous unique tech farimba and many many more.
What are you thoughts on them?
Bulgarians did well, but numbers are just too good.
Explains a lot why the Ghot infantry bonuses are so good too.
@@pillbox2079 in most of the comparison video I've made so far, numbers almost always win despite they usually lack upgrades.
P.S. Konnik is very strong unit
I've always prefered Cavs to Paladins, great work!
@@diegoramirez7901 they are more accessible than paladins for sure.
me too. all too often access to Paladin means missing Arb, ThumbRing, Bracer, and/or RingArcherArmor. Too big a sacrifice as far as I'm concerned.
Poles are not my favorite due to missing *two* Imp Armor upgrades. I also do not prefer quantity since population is limited.
I saw the Sicilians performed quite well. They're probably my favorite of the ones here. I also like the Malian and Berber stables, but their knights are quite average.
@@Taydris0 I would go with Sicilians too. Seem better when playing real time games.
@@DemonAgeOfEmpires2-wf8lv yeah particularly for 1v1
Lets see the cavs!
the real lord
Poles usually have hard time to jacking up those numbers in open maps like arabia. The way their eco bonus works simply makes them open to raid
Strategy differs from total numbers, so in the end it comes down to the player's skills.
Do you capture with OBS?
Just a technically hint. Weather programm you use.... try to increase the bitrate, to reduce block artifacts.
@@TonnesStudio you sir, are my hero! Can't stress how thankful I am, it works! And didn't know how to fix it for a long time. Thanks!
@@DemonAgeOfEmpires2-wf8lv
Glad I could help you.
Also if you want to push it. When you make "cinematic captures" for age (like slowly easing across a pre built diorama) disable the capture of your cursor, so we cannot see your mouse wheel click scroll :D
It's just a small thing, but it increases the quality whatsoever.
And ofc keep cookin man!
@@TonnesStudio I was thinking about the mouse think. You are right about it.
But you saved my video's quality. You have no idea how much I was searching through the net to find a solution.
Big thanks.
@@DemonAgeOfEmpires2-wf8lv you're welcome. It took me studying media engineering to figure that out. lol
I love your work, please make a video about the best elite steppe lancer
@@user-ve1kn9eg5e sure I will! Thank you!!
neat. looking forward to it
gonna be close between Tatars and Mongols
@@Taydris0 have to include the higher ground damage. That would be difficult to test it fair, but I will try
@@DemonAgeOfEmpires2-wf8lv
Especially since the AI likes to run around and not fight.
These test lacks a lot of information, like the amount of units for each fight and they are balance on the amount of ressources.
At first i thought there was redundancy because teutons are the worst agains't archers. More details and it's perfect, mentionning the paladin upgrade would also make the balance change for some civs like franks.
@@Z4n4rK thanks for the feedback, I will keep them in consideration!
best skirm?
Vietnamese. Done. 11
jokes aside: Vietnamese, Berbers, Lithuanians, Aztec (in that order)
@@sgtpepper8581 I have to find out😉
Obviously Turks 11
@@sgtpepper8581 I remember testing this and with Equal Res Byzantines beat everyone except Viet, and was very close. It was before Dravidans were in game so now it can be different.
You forgot to account the creation time of the romans with Comnitatenses or you decided to let it pass?
@@elduquecaradura1468 honestly I totally forgot it. It's always in my mind as a Legiorary/Centurion bonus.. my bad
How about berbers vs poles you didn't do the fight
@@kamaldaali6597 hmmm let me check it out and I will come back to you.
You missed Georgians regeneration Cavs
@@ramosfelipe it didn't fit the tests.
@@DemonAgeOfEmpires2-wf8lv
Tough but fair, interested in how the regen plays out in combat though. Do they get the population reduction too? I forget if its all calvery or just light cav
@@kylemackinnon5696 regeneration has indeed an impact but I am going to talk about it in a future video about regeneration in general.
Yes the less pop bonus works for all cavalry
Test vs Halbs or Camels?
@@Bzhydack the Cavaliers? I was going to make a video which cavalry can stand against pikes, so I will include it into it. It will be an interesting comparison
@@DemonAgeOfEmpires2-wf8lv Without this test Sicilians are shown only with half their strengh.
What about Georgians?
@@ZeusDurrant what do you mean?
poles are best. 30 gold is nothing and they cant train in castle age
True!
