Really great video, I am not a professional, not even a proper amateur… but I find fascinating videos of lighting and composition because that separates professionals (like you) from people like me so obsessed with camera specs and reviews. It’s really an art to get such amazing pictures from that kind of location. I guess that having such a great model/bridge definitely helps too. Big fan of your work

From what I have seen, the forehead of the model was already a hot spot under the sun. So may I ask when you use add light to brighten up the face, do you have to underexpose the addlight to avoid hot spot on the forehead and brighten it up later in post?

(2) How do you gauge what should be the exposure triangle when using a strobe? Can you please explain the process?

I use multi metering with Sony A1. I use the back of screen or view finder really to get the exposure I want from the sky then just add flash. What you so what you get with mirrorless which is great.
@@JermaineHortonStudios Thanks for your response. So you meter for the highlights and make sure to underexpose it and then add flash. For example, I am taking an outdoor portrait on a bright sunny day and the background is too bright so I meter the background and see if the meter in the camera is showing in '-' (maybe 2 stops below the midpoint) and then meter the subject to ensure that it's bit underexposed. Then add strobe to the shot using a handheld meter or trial-and-error method. Is that correct?
