Great video. I started using Lute a month or so ago and it's honestly a great way of brushing up on your vocab and quickly looking up words. The community is also really friendly and helpful.
I liked your ranking system as it gave space to "I didn't like this, but you might find it useful for X, Y, Z" plus an awareness of apps that were doing something different. Also thank you for bringing in criticism for certain app CEOS and their harmful views. I'd throw Speakly in there too as whilst it's also 'bog standard" in terms being a gap-fill/SRS/flashcard-y type thing it does focus on full sentences, prioritizes most used expressions/vocabulary, and bypasses the "Let's learn numbers, let's now learn how to say hello" beginner type content which I think more experienced language learners who like immersion but want an extra supplement might like. Pretty sure it only has a 7 day free trial though, then paywalled.
i learned sm fromt this vid!! i've been wanting something like readlang and it fits it perfectly, i'm really excited to try it!! also didnt realize spanishdictionary changed their named and i literally just filmed for a video doing the whole spanishdiCT thing lmfaoooo
I agree with you 100% on the computer-generated voice. It's a good tool for the visually impaired to have a computer read things out loud for them, but for a language learner, this is ridiculous. We are not training to understand robots, we are training to understand humans!
Right! I can tell my phone to read me anything if I really want... I'm not going to pay you for that 😅 but agreed, such an important feature to exist. And some of the voices are good! Still not going to pay extra for it...
Beeling App the new articles are AI but the lessons have a real human voice - at least in Italian. It’s OK. My issue is the games/activities are a bit limited.

I need to get around to installing it and trying it out!
Language Reactor is great, thank you so much! I didn't know about it before and it's so great for me as a beginner learning Russian.
Great review! Your thoughts on Rocket Languages, please?
Haven't tried it! Should i? 👀

Hey!! I'm the indie developer of Polygloss, thanks for recommending it
oh that’s awesome!! great job, your app is so cool!
@@joreneelanguages thank you
Roseta stone and duolingo is very ..very different.
I fall in love with Clozemaster. I didn't use to like Anki but Clozemaster it's an alternative to learn English :D
I have been using it a lot more since this video and I really like it too! It's still not my favorite way to learn, but for an app I enjoy it a lot.
I'm surprised I had a similar take on most of the apps I have used, haha.
Thanks
