Not true. After the cancelled attempt to headline Soundwave Revolution in late Sept. '11, they appeared at Stone Fest on April 20 2013 in Sydney (one off show) Daughter & I flew up for for the weekend. Dave was back and Wolf on bass. They were to headline Saturday night 9 pm slot and then Aerosmith (touring Aust. at similar time) got added as dual headliner. Their stage set and then VH's stage set took an hour and half to break down & setup so VH went on at 10 pm and with an 11.30 curfew VH got cut short for their set compared to the rest of '12/'13 tour. Heavy bass distortion and volume for the first few songs but I did not give a rip. This was the Mighty Van Halen and I loved it. During their show my daughter looked at me and said "Now I know what you've been going on about all these years." Damn Straight. And I even got an "Oh, Dad" when a tear or two flowed during Ed's solo. Cut short by about 6 songs, but would not have missed it for the world. Absolutely spew that I couldn't have been front and centre for tours of (almost) every era like the many fans in the U.S. (always felt ripped off about that). But hey, twice (1998 in Melbourne )is better than none. You should find the concert available right here on YT and can download from other sites, I did :). Could have been Guitars 101. Happy hunting.

Happy hunting.
my god.. they were just kids hitting the big time.. what a journey.
Dave, when asked about if they will tour Australia, says that they will be there eventually. Fast forward 20 years later and they finally tour Australia for the very first time in 1998 with Gary Cherone instead of Dave. I was there at the Sydney show and it was awesome.
