People don’t understand, that as much as Ed is probably frustrated and annoyed with Dave, they were brothers in the end. I don’t know about you, but I know the brothers in my family are not the most lovey-dovey and “friendly” with each other, but there’s a shared motivation between them. They were both 100 percent dedicated to the process of making the music. Unlike Sammy. All he cares about is money and marketing. Read the interviews with Ed towards the end. He knew it. So did Al. They both said it was always about popularity and sales with Sammy.

Without a doubt . I’m sure they wanted to Kill each other more times than not , but at the end of the day they changed the world of music FOREVER and their music has stood the test of time and will continue to do so because they were truly THAT good. Absolutely ground breaking and game changing . Gosh people love to rip on DLR especially these days , but this dude was a bad as to the bone. In his day nobody could
Touch him and his work with Van Halen is some of the best rock n roll ever made

Goes back to Ed always saying he loved being a musician that was famous but hated being a rock star. You can see it. It's like leave me alone, man I just want to play my guitar and stop asking me stupid questions.

I love everything Van Halen ever did and with Sammy in the band even better with Smmay, I was also already a huge Sammy Hagar fan before he got with Van Halen, Sam is one of my favorite rock and roll solo artists. I also love every album he's made. I think it's even better because 5150 is my favorite album out of all of them but all of them even with Dave are my favorite band. The Rock God bless you Eddie and I hope you're on to your next great Musical Adventure.

I love that song I love all this songs Van Halen has never done a bad song with or without David Lee Roth we're talking about one of the best guitarists that ever lived if not the best. Sammy Hagar is a rock and roll Superstar. Alex is a signature drummer all he has to do is one lick and you know who it is, and don't forget Mike and his backup vocal and his thundering Bass. I'm teaching myself to play guitar and I can do some tapping and I can do sum of Ed's licks and it ain't easy and it's very genius. I'm also a drummer since I was 13 years old and so I know for sure that Alex badass and he likes to use baseball bats for sticks LOL

They were mean to mike in the second interview. I wish I could unlearn what they did to him after the 84’ tour

Eddie Van Halen sounds a little bit cocky in this video.

The interviewer was lame to say the least.
