    It's great to see someone documenting the full process. What you don't see is the pain, frustration, and learning curve to be able to get vacuum infusion to work the first try. Kudos man, great work!

      @rezzynumber1 it is expensive. I failed several times and went back to the reliable wet layup method...

      I failed too, but I was practicing on fiberglass with polyester resin, much cheaper for experiments. I wanted to make parts with infusion.

      I don’t think a single person can get it right the first time. You will have defects. Also this shouldn’t be shown to people as a “hobby” thing this is a professional field and should only be attempted if you intent on entering the composite industry it is not for everyone with a garage and some tools.

    Great video dude. I've watched quite a few carbon fibre tutorials over on the EasyComposites UA-cam channel. Really temping to give this sort of thing a go. I'll probably start out with something smaller though. Your video is a really great start to finish video. Now I have to try.

    BTW. I have another question

    Thanks, great job once again

    • @rezzynumber1

      @@rezzynumber1 Ahh ok, thanks for answer. I am not able to find clear coat that's not polyester based as i have no rooms suitable for such smell.
      Another question, what do you think about 3d core PET infusion foam compared to Lantor Soric if weight is important (infusion technique). Or there are any other options for making lighter sandwiches?

    • @rezzynumber1
      @rezzynumber1  4 дні тому +1

      You are welcome! GC50 is epoxy compatible polyester gelcoat, so it has strong smell. I don't use 3d core pet foam, I have never used it so I can't give advice about that, but I'm planning to replace lantor soric with thicker carbon fiber cloth, for example 600gsm or 800gsm in the future. Lantor soric is not very flexible fabric especially when you have to lay down into complex shaped mould, it takes lot of time and lantor soric overlapping makes part also thicker which I don't like.

    • @555vrx
      @555vrx 4 дні тому +1

      @@rezzynumber1 Yeah, that's the problem. It's an option to let spray clear top coat after part is de-moulded in some paintshop. Have to test which core makes lighter panel. Thanks for sharing experience.

    • @carbonguy
      @carbonguy 4 дні тому +1

    • @rezzynumber1
      @rezzynumber1  4 дні тому +2

      I am spraying with 4mm nozzle, I have tried 2mm and 3mm but was too small for my liking, maybe because my air compressor has 3hp and it is not enough to spray gelcoat with smaller size nozzles.
