I think helen's quote around 6:10 'the more clever you are the easier it is to fool yourself'
      should be -
'the more clever you are the more justifications / reasons you CAN construct to believe something that is false'
the other thing that I would say, is that it is feminist ideology that enables this movement. the fact that it is delusional men (generally AGP as I see it) pushing into women's spaces is not really the point. if it wasn't for the rampant feminists ideology that has taken hold throughout the western world, these men would be where they used to be - at home jerking off in women's underwear !

when a trans person says they are "living as a woman" what they mean is they put on women's clothes. In what other way do they live as a woman. They don't have to worry about periods, they don't have to worry about their breasts changing size from week to week, they don't have to manage contraception to avoid getting pregnant, they don't have to deal with any of the day to day realities of a woman's life.

Gender ideology is the set of ideas that teaches people, children included, that sex can be changed (which it can't) but simultaneously also teaches that what defines who's a man or a woman isn't the sex at all, but instead this pseudoscientific concept of "gender identity."
Furthermore, it teaches that sex isn't a binary, one or the other, but instead exists a spectrum, based on very stereotypical things like interests and traits.
No wonder children have become more dysphoric over the course of time, they are taught to not trust their eyes and instincts anymore, and to question themselves in even the most basic of ways.

1:04:50 "Passability" ended up being a cruel joke on me. Former "FtM", here, and reaching this milestone did not make me happy inside because there was always more. I had become a lifelong project. There was always another surgery to be had, regardless of how much I had already achieved. Frankly, I question any trans-identified person who can say with all honesty that disembodying themselves (yes, this is what it is) has given them inner peace. The cruel joke on me is that instead of being a "man trapped in a woman's body" (the lie), I am now a woman "trapped" in a male-appearing body. Fortunately, for me, I am older and care a lot less than I did as a young woman how I look; I'm just happy to get a second chance at life, now.

It never occurred to me that Germaine Greer was wrong on this subject. I read The Female Eunach in the early 1980s. It was the first book that articulated how I felt about being a woman, so I followed her career with great interest. Of course she was right about this - she knew it was an attack on women and said so. She was Cancelled as a result and that right there should have alerted everyone to the threat of this cult. And it is a cult, and it will be exposed at some point, but we're not quite there yet. Two men boxing women at the Olympics and winning Gold made people sit up and Tickle v Giggle in Australia is making the threat very clear to everyyone.

I think the difference between Bowie and Prince is while they might have worn women's clothing it probably wasn't because it was WOMEN'S clothing but had an aesthetic. Like if you wanted to be a goth type in the 80s/early 90s you probably had ruffles or some shit on your shirt. You liked the ruffles regardless if it was sold in the men's or women's section, but you could probably only find it in the women's section if you're looking for your romantic vampire look. The AGPs want to buy the button down in the women's section because it' sin the women's section, not because it's a buttondown of a certain style. If a plain white t shirt is sold in the men's section, they'll still buy the women's section plain white t. It's not about what it looks like, it's about the label. At some point Bowie and Prince could afford bespoke clothing. So that was style of clothing, not women's clothing.

It was imperfect, which is why I feel that updating the Meyer's-Briggs personality chart to include sex personality stereotypes could give meaning to individuals that struggle. Most trans+ first start out because they don't fit in or feel like the others, due to superficial interests. But if we have a gender chart that gives a boy and girl variant for the same personality collection, that could help them realize that their exisitence is still valid (or whatever buzzword) as a biological boy/ girl.

Exactly. It was nothing unusual for bands in the 1990s because androgyny was a popular 'look'. Cobain, Grohl and Novoselic all did it, but people only remember Kurt in Courtney Love's dress. Same with Bowie when many others in the 60s/70s did it. Young people gender-bending isn't new, and it doesn't make any of them trans.

I think our (western) society is very mentally unwell at the moment. And I’m not saying cause there are trans people or gay people or more acceptance for them. I’m saying cause a lot of people have adopted an ideology that doesn’t help anyone but makes them feel good in the moment. The gender ideology movement is the ultimate I’m a good person movement cause I care more about this person’s mental state than what actually is. And I think on both sides the topic of transition and gender dysphoria isn’t being talked about honestly and instead purely on the social level. And this trend towards affirming people’s feelings constantly isn’t just with the trans stuff, but also mental health in general and political biases. And I wonder if the reason part of our society has turned this way has anything to do with the prevalence of being online and interacting with strangers constantly as well as absorbing so much information constantly. And I think the idea of treating everything in a subjective way is also a product of it. Cause if there are no objective truths and morality is relative, why not then? Is the logical conclusion for someone who has adopted such a subjective ideology. People think they are freeing themselves on “man-made oppression” when really they’ve just completely have become untethered to reality’s objective constructs. In a way, it’s a very narcissistic and nihilistic approach to life. And is most clearly a crisis of purpose.

Now imagine when theres more people using different pronouns, do you know how mentally exhausting it is? And when you make mistake because language is already reflexive, they break down because of it and make a drama? And this is what fills the life and work-life instead of living and working. Even calling them just name wont sort it for me. Their neo pronouns Stardust still has a gender in my language. So , - women who are victims of grape and assault by men have to accept men, who say they are woman, in those spaces.
      - 12 year old girls have to undress and change in the presence of fully intact males because they claim to be women.
      - In sports, look at the olympics, women have to compete against men who claim to be women.
      - Lesbian women have to allow men in their dating apps, and getting harassed if they don’t want sex with a transwoman.
You can even loose your job if you fail to use the desired pronouns Etc etc.

I honestly like Blair, I think he's overall a good person (despite obviously not agreeing with him on ALL topics). But I mostly see him as a kind of "cautionary tale"- Blair admirably doesn't have a "victim mentality", but I do still see him as a victim (though not without a share of responsibility) of the harms of trans ideology, EVEN IN the "transexual", as opposed to "transgender", variant of the ideology.
Blair admits he grew up in a very homophobic family, in a homophobic rural area. And basically admits this was the main reason for his "transition"; That he'd internalized all this negative stuff about gayness. But saw """being a woman""" as a pathway to still being able to be with men.
He also admits that, as an adult, he's wanted to have biological kids, to the extent that he stopped HRT for, I think it was over a year. But the damage was already done; He couldn't produce viable sperm.
I just see him as a likeable, funny, charming but also kinda tragic gay man, who has done incredible, totally needless harm to his own body, because of the homophobia that I suspect drives a HUGE percentage of "transitions".
I just can't believe that rejecting something as basic as your own biology, can EVER be good for your mental health.
Of course, the person themself will SAY it totally helps their mental health. The same way that anorexic wll SAY that allowing them to not eat, is "helping" them. Or that a heroin addict will swear you saved their life, by giving them their fix...
... but ultimately,. these are just ALL variants of self-harm...

I have a lot of respect for Blaire - an intelligent and empathetic person who has long taken flak from his "community" for standing up against the mutilation of children etc. But a non-manly or not-good-enough man is not a woman, nor vice versa. Ultimately how much can we trust the narrative of anyone who is living with what is at heart a severe mental illness (I think Blaire has described it as such too but apologies if he hasn't, I mean no offence or judgment on anyone who has any mental instability). Seemingly none of the trans commentators can truly separate their own personal delusions/experiences from any discussion on these issues. It is, understandably, just a huge blind spot for them no matter how rational they may seem otherwise.

And I think every parent knows this, and probably you remember it from your own childhood as well. You know that bit where you realize you ‘re going to die.you know that first day, it’s usually that you realize your parents are going to die first, and it’s an awful thought that they are going to die, and then you think that one day I am going to die, and you can see that a lot of human activity is trying to distract yourself from that fact.”

I thought this was a really compelling discussion, and I really enjoyed it. The bottom line is no man can feel like a woman because no man knows what a woman feels like. And when they say they’re living as a woman, what they mean is their dressing as a woman and invading women spaces but they’re not living as a woman because no man could ever live as a woman it’s not possible. I think that society has gone so far in the wrong direction that bringing it back is going to be nearly impossible. The sad fact is that this movement is targeting children. 90% of the children who are identifying as trans right now or actually going to change their minds when they’re grown because it’s a social contagion. I am a woman, a real woman, a biological woman, and I couldn’t tell you what it feels like to be a woman because there is no universal feeling that is womanhood. Every woman feels different. We all feel differently about different things and have different emotions. There is no universal feeling where we can pinpoint it and say this is a woman. So for a man to say he can feel like a woman is not only presumptuous and arrogant but it’s bull. The only critique I have about this discussion as I wish that she had let him talk more because I found his point of view really interesting. And she did 80% of the talking which is pretty typical of women. The other reality that needs to be acknowledged as that women at this point are just dried out of sympathy and compassion for men trying to cosplay as women. It’s become such an invasion, and so invasive of women’s privacy, women’s rights, women’s feelings, and it’s just gotten to the point where women just don’t care anymore how people feel they’re like you’re a man get out of my bathroom. That should be Understandable to most people. At this point women have been so put down and so insulted by this whole movement not to mention, ignored that we just don’t care about feelings anymore. We just want our spaces in our rights back. And anyone who says that women’s rights have not been taken away by this movement is delusional or stupid.

I admire Helen but I don't agree with her about sexual orientation being something that leads you to a relationship. Many heterosexual or homosexual people have zero interest in a relationship they just want to have sex. And this kind of sex is not much different than masturbation too, because their partner is an object to them during that action. So the only difference is they're using a person instead of porn to get aroused and satisfied.
But that doesnt change they still have a sexual orientation.

The way I see it looking like something on the outside doesn't make it true. Someone might look like a woman, but what makes them a woman is their biology, chromosomes etc which can't be changed. Its the same as age. People can have plastic surgery and wear makeup to make themselves appear younger, but on the inside they're still aging. If you're 70 but have had surgery to make yourself look 30 - you're still 70! There's currently no technology that can actually reverse your aging and make your body young again. Plastic surgery might make you look younger and feel better but it wont change your age. Same for sex/gender. You can have all the hormones and plastic surgery you want to create an illusion on the outside, it doesnt actually change your biological sex. There needs to be some sort of law that says people can't change their biological sex and whatever you self identify as is not legally recognised. This would help stop men from being allowed in womens prisons, sport etc. What someone does to their own body or how they dress is their business and they can identify as whatever gender they want - but there is still their legal sex that they're born as which cannot change.

Regarding paraphilia and orientation, paraphilia comes with obsession, compulsion and often exhibition. So consider your orientation, you do not feel you MUST get a job which gives you access to who you want to sleep with, you don't consider attacking the object on your orientation because you can't have it and you don't consider breaking laws.

    • @JackxJewell

I don't think so - just think of how some men attack women and do all sort of things to get what they want.
Also if you saw what many gay men get up to in pursuit of their sexuality... I think the obsessive nature of the paraphilia may be to do with them not being able to act on it morally.

    • @opronwin-fa8959
      @opronwin-fa8959 2 місяці тому +3

Orientation is based on the sexes and the very reason it exists in the first place is because of sexual reproduction, therefore the attraction to a sex comes in naturally without influences from the outside. Paraphilias/Fetishes/Kinks on the other hand have no such deep root in evolutionary biology and are heavily influenced by the outside, they can be gained and even unlearned and often times did not exist in the past, other cultures or in the animal kingdom at all.
They're also objectifying and people with paraphilia never act on honest interest in a person but regard them rather as a tool for gratification.

I am a passing trans woman and use the women’s restroom if I have to. I prefer the privacy and safety of neutral restrooms myself. I don’t use the men’s restroom because it defeats the purpose of transitioning in the first place which is to be treated and seen as a woman. For me if I were to ever be confronted in a woman’s restroom and accused of being trans I would politely leave and cause as little of a scene as possible. I would be embarrassed enough to just be found out, because I kinda also think being trans is not really a good thing. It’s something I am cursed with tbh. I just try to get through my difficult life with as little friction as possible tbh.

@@JackxJewellyeah is not been easy. I transitioned in my teens over 15 years ago and before that I was antisocial and kept to myself for years. Gender identity issues were absolutely the cause of my behaviors. Transition was absolutely the correct choice for me. My parents were very anti-trans and they asked why I couldn’t just be gay. And this was back in 2006-2007, so no one really knew what being trans was. I had to explain that I’m not interested in sex at all so I’m not gay or straight or auto. But after about 8 years being authentic to myself and changing from a depressed antisocial boy to a bubbly, happy, outgoing, and incredibly social “woman”, they changed their opinions on transition. They think, “yes it’s extreme and not right for everyone, but it was absolutely the correct choice for their child.” If people don’t consider me a woman after knowing that’s fine, I can’t argue that based on how they wanna define it. But I’m happier and just a better human this way. Idk how to explain it to people who see it black and white. I wish i wasn’t like this and don’t have to take tons of medication and undergo surgery to have my body feel comfortable. If I coulda been happy as I man I woulda stayed that way, I tried my whole life… i really did. I looked at men and couldn’t find a single one who I wanted to be, there wasn’t one example of a blueprint I could follow. But I looked at women and I saw examples of who I wanted to be everywhere. I worked extremely hard and have for the most part achieved those goals of being who I wanted to be. The only things missing are the essential functions of being a woman that I can never achieve. And that’s ok because that’s just the hand I was dealt. I feel similarly to how I would imagine a woman who can’t have her own kids feels. It sucks but I can’t let that define me and I have other valuable things I can contribute to the world. Regardless I know exactly what I am people can define it how they like and call me a man but I have never really lived as a man and when I was a little boy I never talked to people so my only social experiences have been under the illusion I was born a woman. I only know how to be a woman socially because those are the only experiences I have ever had socially. My entire adult life of over 15 years has been under the illusion I was born female to everyone around me. I have an entire life, an image, friends, a career. I don’t understand why people feel they have a right to destroy my happiness. Sure my happiness is based on essentially fooling everyone around me. But it’s no different than hiding the worst and most embarrassing things in your life. I understand that I’m probably stronger than most women but I’m no threat. I’m just a castrated male bodied person who wants to live life under the illusion I was born female. I’m not competing in sports, if someone ever felt uncomfortable by my presence in a women’s space I would leave without conflict. I’m not hurting anyone if I can help it.
