The 80s and 90s were great overall with the advent of MTV and VH1 and music videos that was pure magic of art, music and creativity, but the true sweet spot was the 70s. I'm almost lost for words when I try to describe how tremendous such music was. Music today is a joke by comparison. Sure there are some good singers about today, some great singers, like GaGa. But the MUSIC by itself was incredible. From the days when I used to buy 12" singles just for the instrumental version, often on the B side, because the music was so damn good. I feel blessed to have been born in the 60's which I meant I grew up listening to the sounds of the 70's and 80's - the BEST times!!!!

Michael Jackson had incredible talent. With lots of help from his family, especially from his dad, he grew his talent at an early age. Later on he continued to grow his talent to become the world's greatest entertainer. His faith as a jehovah's witness actually hindered his musical career as the J.W.s wanted the Thriller video banned because of the zombies that were in it. Plus they spied on him with two J.W. members on his tours. They were part of his entourage. They caused him so much grief that he wrote a letter to the J.W. cult asking to be left alone and to no longer be referred to as a J.W.

Michael was an amazing performer. Moved so effortlessly on the stage - owned it! You can just hear it in his vocals that he was not long for that group and (for lack of a better word) had a different Destiny than his brothers. Took them as far as he could on the ride. But man, what a talent! Born to dance and sing

His dancing is simply amazing. He outshines everyone, male, female. Your eyes automatically follow his moves. Try to watch another Jackson or any of the other hack dancers that come on stage. You begin to stray and move toward Michael. Amazing.

um... Marlon, Jackie, and Micheal came up with the dance moves together. But since Michael is the lead that's all many choose to see. Randy, Tito, and Jermaine provided the musical expertise. They were a collective group and were the launching pad for Micheal's individual success.
