I added 1/2 c of sugar because in Loiza growing up the pan sobao was dulce. I baked at 350 for 25 min amd did the egg wash. I was instantly taken back to Loiza and the smell of walking into a panaderia at 6am to get pan as a young girl, and the smell of freshly made bread wafting through the air. I started to cry when I bit this from HOW GOOD IT WAS! Thank you!
Wow se ve rico! Lo llegue aser la primera vez con el horno a 325 por 15 minutos pero salio crudo. Pero ya le coji el truco. En mi horno es a 400 por 15 minutes y queda perfecto. Ya e hecho mas de 7 libras de pan y mi esposo contento. Gracias!

Yes crisp and fluffy. Every morning in Jersey before school going to the bodega to get pan and butter with hot chocolate and hot sausage. Then fresh fried chicken after school. It’s the simple things.

I just made this bread and it was so beautiful and tasty I loved it. the only think is the my bread was longer and thinner I don't know it was because when I was rolling it I did it tide. But it was real, real good. Thank you so much I did it by hand also. 🇵🇷🖐🏼

I decided to make this today. It tastes delicious but yes I'm guess where I live I had to add more water and it was still a bit too doughy. I also baked it for 20 min and needed more time, but with that said OMG I felt like I was eating it in PR. I will cont to tweek it so that it works here as I'm gonna make it for my daughter who's expecting this week some time.

How did the dough came out ? Mine I’ve tried it 3 times-.- still won’t stay soft
