Back in the early 90’s catching monster 50 lb Stripers were fun, I don’t think Millerton has that anymore. Too many fellow Asian peeps catch and don’t release. Personally I’ve never kept anything bigger than 28 inches, those are the ones that make big babies.
Beautiful day out there, I do not like white when sun is bright on a calm day unless they are boiling, early morning or evening works best for me, nice spots on that jig 👍
I've been doing a lot of striper fishing w anchovies and a spinning real... having pretty good luck on numbers but only 2 keepers in the last few weeks (going out pretty much every day). Is there a reason you prefer lures on a baitcaster?
Always 100% Fluorocarbon. I rarely use mono. Only time is when I'm fishing a topwater but even then I'm running braid to mono. Mono has too much stretch and you wont get a good hook set.

Like these kind of bank videos! This is all I do but besides the catching. I have struggled from the bank at least on lakes.
Bank fishing can be tough in the fall/winter because fish are deep. Try fishing steep rocky banks or main lake points.
@@tasmoua thanks Tas! All the information helps a lot. Will be trying this out, I will let you know how it goes.

Can you not fish next to the dam no more? Giant striper and trophy spotted bass by the dam few years ago when I used to live in Fresno.
Yes, you still can on shore. There's definitely some big fish there, but it's a hit or miss.

Bro should I be using floro or mono when jig fishing?

@@tasmoua thank you bro. Appreciate it. Jig fishing is where I struggle the most. Looking to get a dedicated jig rod.
Which area did you start out at if you don’t mind me asking?
