Every time I watch you beautiful people, I have a huge smile and thoroughly enjoy your vlogs. What a wonderful gift from the good people at Fiamma, for your van. Noticed the photo at Fiamma showing that the Pope was there blessing a camper van. It was nice to see how Pope Francis would take the time in his busy travels to come to a van outfitter and bless a camper van (and the employees, I'm sure). As a pastor, I fully appreciated seeing that photo in the Fiamma office. Overall, a wonderful vlog and very nice time with Luca's grandmother and uncle. I grew up on a farm in Canada a long time ago and wearing the same clothes day after day was normal. I still do it. Sara, it's called being frugal, innovative, and creative, not hoarding.
Your grandma is so cute! I loved her house it reminds me of my grandma's house where everything was 50 years old. I love the old tablecloth the old dishes old furniture in the room it just looked like a perfect Italian grandmas Paradise... She even made Sweets how cute! AKA "hoarder" love it. My family immigrated from Italy with nothing ... only to be greeted by the great depression. I attributed all the "stuff" they picked up and saved to their past situation. Maybe not .... :-)

I like how you are very aware of your weight limit. This is just a suggestion, but someday you might want to consider a heavier duty shock on the rear of the van for the just under a ton,constant weight. Good job editing Sara,and excellent job on the van. Lot of tedious work.
It’s taken me nearly 40 years to realize you don’t need everything you want. It’s hard to say no but family and happiness is more important than stuff.
Luca and Sara...please, please, please wear goggles when working on and in the van...eyes are precious...working on the cieling still puts eyes at risk. Take care beautiful people. Namaste X

When trying to bend wood, wet it first or it will crack. The cake your grandmother made look like a work of art and delicious.
My daughter can't stand that I basically have a couple of "uniforms" that I wear. Comfortable and functional clothes. 😁 Works for me. 💕

Luka and Sara, first let me say I just love you both even though we've never met. You are both just SO REAL, so down-to-earth, and humble! As I have watched your videos since the very beginning, I notice that you have improved your skills at photography and editing by leaps and bounds! I look so forward to your updates each week.
All that said, however, I am very, very concerned about the footage you capture while traveling in your van. It is incredibly dangerous for Luka to be taking his eyes off of the road, even for a split second, much less the 2-3 seconds that he looks over at the camera when he is talking. He also takes both hands off of the wheel a lot, which greatly compounds the danger. I implore you to reconsider doing this on the road, when it would be so much safer for yourselves to simply pull over and capture the footage while parked. I CARE so much about both of you, and want you to STAY SAFE!!!

Back in the great depression in the early part of the last century , my grandparents only owned a few pieces of clothing. They had to keep what they had, and make repairs to make things last. Grow gardens, hunt ,and fish to be able to eat. To have these skills now is a good idea.
Throughout high school I wore a uniform and I actually loved it because it immediately eliminated the pressure most teenagers go through regarding what outfit to wear from one day to the next. For grown ups, the "capsule wardrobe" has been growing in popularity in the minimalist community.
I laughed at the *hoarder* comment as my husband is exactly the same. He has a all kinds of boxes of junk that 'a la mejor, me sirve un dia'. Your grandmother looks so young Luca, and what a delicious looking meal!!! Great progress.

I had read several years ago Einstein did the same, all white shirts, black pants, same shoes; exactly, like a uniform...to save time and energy to focus on something more important. After I read that, made so much sense, I adopted the same philosophy. I'm always clean, but in the same outfit! LOL And it's a good sales pitch; it's like branding yourself.

I just run screws in from the other side, it's stronger. But the pocket screw method is the only option in cases where the other side is inaccessible. The nailing equivalent of pocket screws is called "toenailing".

A lot of thought going into their vehicle of adventure. It looks like leisure time under the open skies will be very comfortable. Good for them. Their conversion as comfortable as any RV with less things to worry about.
I found myself wearing the same favorite clothes all the time with most of my closet going untouched. I donated those I didn't wear often and now don't buy a lot of unnecessary things and I've never looked back. Living light is nice.
PS when you want to bend wood to form it try wetting the wood. My Italian grandfather built me a row boat when I was a kid and he wet the wood. Thanks for the great videos.
