Every Sunday, Baby Luce, starts my day out right with her giggles, laughs and how she talks to her little friend in the camera! How can a little person take over the whole house? By being so cute like Little Luce! We love your comfy bed! Daddy did a great job as usual! Keep working hard, winter is right around the corner and you will be walking soon! 🙂
The new bed for Luce is perfect. I hope she sleeps soundly and that it suits you too. The apple tart looked delicious.
It’s apparent that Luca has gone “gah gahs” over Luce! He’s doing all the “Fatherly” things a great Dad will do - endless kissing of feet, shoulder rides, surprise sounds, smiles, etc. And Sara is just so great with feedings and teases, and sharing her good judgement. If we get to pick our parents before we are born, Luce must have known she was getting a great pair, and a boatload of fun! No wonder she is calm and mostly happy!
About wallpaper: YES! Some colorful flowers on plain white background. Babies develop better visually when they have colorful things to look at. Your home is based on a natural and minimalist style, but I think you can have some colors in there for Luce, and to brighten up the drab of white and grey winters, for you also.

Partial wallpaper with a nursery rime. No mirrors or anything that Luche could pull herself on.just story time border.
That is such an interesting bed you have made for Luce! I had never heard of a Montessori bed as a transition bed for her. It makes sense to give her more freedom..but when she starts walking around is when you need to start closing the door to the bedroom consistently or risk her just running around and getting into things constantly. I remember we all had cribs growing up and we eventually learned how to crawl out of them. My mother had a couch where you could arrange them to make a large playpen in the middle and the children had plenty of room to play surrounded by cushions and they could not get out.and would sleep there too. It was a savior to be able to get things done and not constantly be watching to see what the babies have gotten into or trying to find them. They are fast runners after they learn to walk 🌟🌷🌸🦋

Luce is completely enchanting. I'd avoid wallpaper as it's a pain to remove. My daughter could reach her decorative, little girl wall paper strip, it was a thing for a time, and she decided to peel off what she could. Then it looked awful. I do like seeing murals that can be painted over in some baby rooms. Never tried a floor bed, but I see them growing in popularity. God bless.

Great idea for Luce’s new bed.
A suggestion for the wall. Print out individual family pictures, and animals. label each Luce, mommy, daddy, nonna, nonno, cat, dog, etc.
from the ceiling hang a mobile with birds, butterflies, bees,and
little bells.

I find the concept of a floor bed really interesting; I’m eager to see how it works out. You might enjoy the Channel The Hidden Gem. Gemma talks about all things Montessori, open-ended toys, toy rotation and, more importantly transitioning to a floor bed. I think she did a video about three years ago. She has four boys, three of which are triplets! Love your content. Beautiful video. She is growing so quickly and has such a sweet, happy personality. I hope she transitions well to the new bed. By the way, I noticed the Syracuse University t-shirt. Cool! I live in Houston now but I grew up ~40 miles from there so seeing the SU t-shirt resonated with me. 😊

LUCE! My heart cannot take it! She is such a joy to watch! I would not hang anything with weight over her bed. Yes to wallpaper or even stick on wall decor. You don't want anything falling on her. They have many removeable wallpapers and decorations that stick on and peel right off. I think that is a good idea since it is a temporary space.
Those apples would make some awesome baby food for Luce. She is getting so big.

My older daughter was born in ‘88…and I changed her from her crib to a normal individual mattress in the floor and had carpeted floors and that was her mattress for a long time when she was bigger I put a lovely vase for the bead with a cute headboard…very practical and beautiful!!
I vote 'yes' to Luce's name in wooden letters. You could consider stuffed/soft wall hangings too. I vote 'no' to a mirror for safely and 'no' to a juvenile wallpaper - you'll regret it when you want to remove it. You are such a charming familia!
Yes, definitely a little decoration for baby Luce. Perhaps even pretty thing hanging over the bed from the ceiling. You could even do a ceiling canopy, very easy. 🌼

Hi Sara, I have a little input regarding Luce’s corner. Wallpaper is not my first choice because tiny fingers will find the smallest bit to “play” with and remove it for you😮 Fastening a mirror along the wall is a fun way for her to see herself but not worry that it will fall off. A hand painted mural of flowers, butterflies, lady bugs- nature- is perfect besause she can touch it without harming herself or the wall. Stencils can be very helpful in designing a scene. This was so charming to see! Luce is such a sweetie pie!!! We put our son’s crib mattress on the floor after he learned to climb out on his own. He wasn’t walking yet! I’m anxious to see what you do in her sleep corner! Love and hugs from sunny Arizona💖😎💖

Yes to some wall decorations, no to the mirror unless it's unbreakable. Maybe some padding next to the wall???
Love this bed idea! As far as decoration; consider getting a piece of canvas and let Luce decorate it using finger paints or you could put her hands & feet in the paints and stamp them on. You could even add y'alls in whatever fun pattern you choose. If you use mirror panels you can make them what ever size & placement you want, just be sure to adhere it to the wall so thers no chance of it falling & breaking. In the US we have velcro wall hanging kits that make it pretty easy for mounting & removing Luce will engage by touch so one or 2 squares would be plenty. Enjoy & in the end y'all are her world and your laughter and love is really what decorates her life. Love & Light 💕💕

Oh wonderful! My daughter has used the montessori floor bed for both her children. Age 4, girl and a boy almost ready for his at 6 months. It was so nice when my granddaughter took naps as grandma could lay down with her. We also love the montessori school. Luce is SO adorable!

How about a mirror with a few pictures, No wall paper. Yet obviously you do what you both want it is your daughters space.👍❣️🦋 love how Luce is so happy, very talkative 😃😃she is adorable, beautiful as her mommy and daddy 👍👍🦋🦋😊❣️😊❣️
Sarah, I am a Nanny. The little boy is now 16 months old and his parents have one of these beds for him. I think it’s great, he loves it. Obviously he is walking now but he was in a crib and now he loves this bed. 👍😃❣️😊🤔
My daughters slept with us and didn’t use a crib. The oldest who was mobile very early stayed for a couple years. The youngest who wasn’t as mobile preferred her own bed in her room around 15 months. It is different for every child and every family. Just don’t do things that go against your instincts. Let them be babies and children while they are. Plenty of time to be grown up in years to come. Like popcorn; each kernel pops when its ready.❤️ I don’t think there is a happier baby on this planet. She’s so healthy and beautiful. I love the focus on her at the end of your videos. She’s so precious!🥰

Sara I have a acreage, so I have 12 apple trees, 4 different kinds, plus two peach, two apricot, two plum, n two sweet cherry trees, plus strawberries blueberries, gooseberries red n green, plus grapes, plus a large vegetable garden, it’s been so much work, canning n preserving it all. The apples this year were big as big grapefruits. And so juicy, they are Washington delicious, sweet n sour apples, green Granny Smith apples, and gala apples, omg they were all so heavy with fruit this year we had to reinforce the trees with 2x 4 8 for each tree. We were picking apples for days, n I had to borrow a lift truck to get all the apples on top,lol. Needless to say my neighbors were so happy with me, cos we had so many apples, I still had 12 bushels of apples in the basement, n I gave away more than that too, lol
Ciao Bella’s, Sara, Luce and Luca 🌟 I love the idea of the Montessori bed, it simply makes sense. I imagine at some point when she begins to crawl she may be trying to get into your bed, though that time seems a bit a ways, it will come soon enough ♥️ It will certain be interesting to hear from others who’ve used this method of bed as well. Both of my babies were escapologists. My youngest could get out of everything, cots, highchairs, car seats, stair gates. I'm interested to see how this concept works for you guys once Luca is mobile cos wow babies are quick. I don't think I'd sleep knowing she could be roaming around if you're in a deep sleep. She's a beautiful baby and you're wonderful parents. Keep us updated, my babies are both grown up so it's interesting to watch new ideas. Xx

We loved the Montessori bed. With my older daughter, who was adopted from China I put together a beautiful nursery with a beautiful crib. She wanted none of it so we created a Montessori bed, and she slept in our room for about six months after we brought her home from China. Best decision I ever made.

All my babies ended up sleeping with me, or I ended up sleeping with them until they were five or six. I tried the crib with the first two. My first baby just climbed out of the crib, then used the rail of his toddler bed which was similar to a Montessori bed, to use as a ladder to climb out of the window. I just found that I got more rest sleeping in the same bed with my babies. I still wake up now to check on them now that they are grown. My oldest is 24 years old and lives on the other side of the country, so I cannot check on him at night anymore. 🤣 but my 13 year old and 6 year old I check every night.

You really need to put bumper pads on the wall sides of the bed, once she starts to move around she will bump her head. Also, won’t she be cold on the floor in the winter?

What a lovely video! So nice to see you all back home and see Sara's mother and Luca's father. The apples look delicious! Well done on the Montessori bed! I would suggest sheets that have a print on them--hearts, animals, etc. rather than solid sheets. Luce will eventually be rolling over onto her tummy and she will find them interesting.

I love the idea of wisteria. It is a beautiful plant and works well for privacy.
We did what we call a toddler bed in the USA for both my boys at 12 months old and it was great and no problems. Both became very independent sleepers and would some times put themselves to bed at night

May I with all respect say, the wooden stair rail is a huge risk for the baby. It’s too easy for her to climb. And the first time she climbs you can bet it’ll be over that rail. She is a gorgeous baby. 🤗.
Wallpaper??? My 12 month old went down for a nap in his cot. He’d slept longer than usual so I went in to check on him. He was wide awake, standing up in the cot picking off chunks of wallpaper 🥹🥹🥹

Maybe try putting her for a nap in a darker space of the house with white noise, like a fan a radio classical music or noise machine !

At this young age they're learning a lot tactically. Putting different textures within her reach would stimulate her. Wallpaper with velvet and raised embossed type of thing. You can get some blank textured wallpaper border, I'm just pulling stuff off the point of my head. The bed looks like a genius idea

You should be able to find removable wallpaper ( it’s peel and stick) that way when you are ready to transition the sleeping corner to her own bedroom, if will be easy to remove the background that you choose. Thank you for all the great vlogs. You are doing great as first time parents!! 😎☀️

Maybe some cute string likes of different colors would be nice effect. Babies love lights! You could string them kind of like a canopy. I’ve seen the canopy style Montessori beds.

I really love the bed idea being low to the ground. And since she’s going to be in your room a very short time maybe you could just do some temporary vinyl decorations that can be removed and put in her bedroom when she is ready. She’s so cute😊
