(ENG) 2015 Volkswagen Scirocco 2.0 TSI R-Line (GTS) - Test Drive and Review

Volkswagen Scirocco GTS (formerly known as R-Line) as a sporty three-door coupe powered by a 220-hp 2.0 TSI motor. Volkswagen Scirocco debuted in 1974. The car based on the soon-to-be-released Golf, and replaced the Karmann Ghia coupe. At the end of the 1980s Volkswagen also introduced a slightly more upmarket Corrado, and phased out the Scirocco in the early 1990s. Then for more than a decade things went quiet, and Scirocco returned in 2008. This is the facelifted version.

is the Lap Timer not duplicated in the centre console between the speed and rpm dials? i know it is on some other vw group cars. you scroll through a couple of menus and use one of the stalks to trigger stop/start/lap/reset.

it is one generation behind the Golf, based on Golf 6 not the new MQB based 7. Looks like a squashed hatchback not a coupe.

Scirocco is the only competitor vs Audi TT. It loses to tt coz of no four wheel drive option and ugly dash design. It beats tt coz of less road noise and more space behind

6:35 why would expect oversteering from a FWD car, which has its engine before/just on the front axle?

In FWD cars with sufficiently good front grip it is possible to get lift off oversteer. You can see it in my MINI JCW GP2 review.

Oh so you cant get the 1.4 anymore? Been replaced by the 2.0L? Maybe you should actually research a car before you review it. Or maybe rather stick to mazda reviews
