After finish Carnival Row Season 1, still cannot move on.
It’s interesting how the harp takes on the heartbeat of the song. This is so... ethereal. It’s definitely going on my Periwinkle Playlist on my music player. Gorgeous harmonies as well.
It’s weird, a lot of artists I’ll listen to, but I kind of go through cycles. Ever since I came across this music, I’ve never really... stopped listening. I have a chronic pain condition, which leads to long nights a lot of the time, not being able to sleep from pain. Everyone else is asleep and what I feel is like fire, but I have to be in this self contained bubble. Karliene’s music is oddly suited to distracting from the pain or at least calming me down. Everything from Anne Bonny to Return to Oz to Elizabeth’s Lullaby to Become the Beast to all the Labyrinth songs, they’re a great comfort I reach for often. I even listen to Return to Oz every time I have to get an injection. This is another great addition that will be a comfort for
years to come. I’m just happy I found it so quickly this time!
Agree completely. Both of my feet are severely arthritic and I can only sleep a couple of hours before they wake me up and need to be soaked in cold water. Her music definitely helps to pass the time and take my mind off the pain. I can never get over how amazing her voice is.
Yeah I have Dystonia and the muscular pain is pretty bad at night while the emotional frustration leaves me in knots. I've been listening to her Witcher EP on loop because the musical tone is soothing to me. I'm really happy you've found something to help.

I’ve had a chronic pain condition a couple of years ago so I completely understand what you’re going through and I really, really sympathise. It’s an absolute battle. I don’t know your story or your condition so I don’t want to assume anything but my condition ended up being ‘TMS’ which means it was coming from emotional/ physiological issues and I was able to heal over a year of journalling, meditating and other emotional exercises. I don’t know if this approach would be at all helpful to you but I have got a video on it on my channel if you’re interested ( if you haven’t already seen it ) 😘 💖
At the end of the day, I really wish you lots of health and comfort. It’s the hardest thing to go through and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. You’re a warrior. Xxx

Yes! This is beautiful, well done cover! I myself like the tempo and harmony of the original from Patty Gurdy slightly more. Also the Hurdy Gurdy with the characteristic buzzing and clicking i find to be more fitting for the world and the atmosphere. I really like the small harp parts for the song.
