Do you deep condition using combs or brushes? And... if you're doing a length retention hair challenge, how are you currently getting on, what's going well, what is not going so well?
Your routine is definitely working! 🥰 I’m recovering from my setback using Shea butter. It’s taught me a hard lesson on using all natural ingredients. You have to treat them like unpreserved food….they have a short shelf life, even with no sign of deterioration. I’m reacquainting myself with blue magic and sulfur 8 hair grease and I’m already seeing improvement. So I’m going to finish the year strong with twisted buns. That’ll be my go to style forever I think 😂, I’m just looking forward to wearing my hair out occasionally next year, after protective styling all this year. 😅
That is so true about shelf life. Admittedly, I haven't been using homemade flaxseed gel as often as I'd like to because it just goes off soooo quickly! A youtuber called Dinma does a lot of DIYs and she often recommends maximum 5 days. Yes, hair grease is great, I use that instead of Castor Oil sometimes. Haha, I get you it'll be nice to wear it out a little 💁🏽♀. For me, I look forward to experimenting a little more and going back to trimming my ends every 3 months or so to keep my ends thick.
Greetings, Lovely! I appreciate you sharing your [very relatable 😅] memory, I giggled and warmly reminisced. 🥰 Especially since I semi-recently pulled a similar move with cardboard. 😂 Thank you for your generosity in spirit, care, info, and even creative offerings. It's ALL _LOVE._ Your tee is brilliant; I hope it sell off! 🖤💚💛🤎
I use the tangle teaser after my hair has been soaked with the deep conditioner. It's only because it feels good on my scalp when I brush. I make sure that my hair is thoroughly detangled first when I carefully and gently use the brush. I don't do it every time though. Just one in a while...fyi
@Natural2020_ oh yeah. It takes a long time. About an hour. But Detangling tools take longer, because I have to finger detangle before I go in with them and then keep stopping to work through tangles with my fingers - and I still get more breakage.

Oh, you use the TT on your scalp? Like to give it a good scratch/scrub? I agree, finger detangling before using a brush is good.
I didn't use combs or brushes. I detangle in 16 sections, usually in the shower.
@@malindarayallen wow, 16 ! I imagine that must be much easier to work the deep conditioner in though. Does it take you long?

@@malindarayallen well it's worth it to keep more hair on your head and retain length lol.
