Holy hell! Your production quality is amazing, I expected you to have 20 - 30k subs, yet 192. Your channel really deserves to pick up! Well done on the good work.
Thanks for the very kind message Hitchrest SFM! Really appreciate it. I should get some more videos up really but the commuting stopped during The Rona and I've hardly been back. I've been concentrating on my other channels and now wonder if I should move the family travel videos from there to here! Anyway thanks for taking the time to leave a kind message.
Thanks for the very kind comment. I know we never show it but we really appreciate your work. Unfortunately I've stopped travelling and saving a fortune! I'll get the camera out again soon and thanks again for the message
@@neilstrains thats okay lol we love when there’s trouble to be honest spices it up a bit but most of the time it’s network rails fault not ours so remember to take that into consideration hope u travel soon
I remember the landslide during the strike. We got to Waterloo to find all Portsmouth trains marked as 'Delayed' and minutes later every train marked 'Cancelled'. As a result of the strike timetable all Portsmouth trains via Eastleigh started at Basingstoke and not Waterloo. Whatsmore the timetabling was awful. We were directed onto the first train to Winchester that arrived 15 minutes after the Portsmouth train departed (and these are hourly trains). So we spent 45 minutes at Winchester. Then, the Portsmouth train arrived at Portsmouth Harbour on time, which was 2 minutes after the ferry was due to leave. So we spent 58 minutes at Portsmouth Harbour. In short, 1 of our trains was cancelled, the two replacement trains were on time. End result, delay repay claim of 2 hours! (approx £183.00)
Thanks for the kind message Pro Painter Pro, really appreciate it! Ack, sorry to hear this... it's like they dont want the passengers getting in the way. I've stopped travelling now and saving a fortune!! Anyway, thanks again
Vinci is a cleaning company, they basically employed to clean stations and trains etc. Also station supervisor + Vinci staff was incorrect, you can film on London Overground or any Network Rail station for personal use as long as it doesn't affect the running of any services and doesn't indirectly affect customers etc. Any professional filming has to be arranged with the operator and station staff.
SWR management clearly don't care about fare paying passengers. The frontline SWR staff I have encountered are helpful and friendly but clearly not the bigwigs. The thing is if one needs to get from A to B and the route is served only by SWR you have to use them. As you prove they try and weasel out of paying delay repay that is rightfully owed and then when there is a strike they try and blame everything on that. Back in 2018 I had to use SWR daily for 12 weeks and I can easily count on one hand the number of times I got to my destination on time. Admittedly it was typically only about 5 minutes and didn't affect my day but still I payed to arrive at the advertised time not slightly late on a regular basis.
Their online delay repay is decent now but usually only because they're consistently awful. They were even delayed on my birthday one time, right treat.
