NEW VIDEO- The SMARTEST Way To KILL BELLY FAT for Women!- ua-cam.com/video/dgEvXzARxx0/v-deo.htmlsi=6LAnQEhJLPC4wyCe
Hello Doctor Mike .
Can we know also how to have a balance diet or how to diet for the female having a PCOS and what I'm gonna do to lose weight? I exercise and work out every day but I think there is something wrong with it ,cause still I didn't lose weight..
Menstruation lasting 3-5 days seems very optimistic to me. For most women I know (including myself) it's rather between 5-7 days😅
I wish mine lasted 3 days. I don’t know anyone that blessed.
😅mine is 3 days
@@AprileBdang you’re lucky mine is 7 and always a murder scene 🤦🏽♀️
@@AprileB You seem to be God's favourite😂👍
i was always lucky if i was through in 7 days I usually went 10 days
So glad men are starting to educate themselves on our cycles. We cannot function at a high level everyday. We are creators, the portals to which souls come from other dimensions into this physical realm. That comes with so many intricacies. Our bodies are doing something different every day of every 28 day cycle.
He is a doctor after studying everything about humans ( men and women) throughout his mbbs journey .
@@arunimajana9564 Men in general baby. As a collective. Not him specifically.
I agree with your first statement, but we're not the creators God is the creator we're just the carriers and caregivers, some women didn't want to have a baby but found themselves pregnant, and some wanted to get pregnant but they couldn't.

Yessss PLEASE DO!

Indeed
Yes please!
Yes we need this
This content is gold. I would love a new video about how to create or manage an exercise plan based on our menstrual cycle. I know that each woman is totally different on their hormonal cycle, I have noticed on myself that my performance decrease a lot a couple of days before my cycle start.
Same here !
Same! It just happened to me lol
Yes please
Yup science says the same!!! Really gotta watch our hormones. Men have a 24 h cycle, women well you know how long. Pls check out Dr. Mindy Pelz!!! Basically Day 1 (1st day of period) - day 10 = good for any exercises, stress resistance high, Day 11-15 = rock it, run a marathon, lift 10 elephants, begin new projects, do the hard talks, stress resistance is the highest, inspiration peaks, Day 16-19 = like day 1-10, Day 20- end of cycle = chill out, self care, go for walks, stress resistance the lowest, more Magnesium needed, skip the strenuous work outs!
I’m weird, right before mine starts, I can actually perform better than normal. 🤷♀️ it’s like I get really pissed off about the bloating and go extra hard in my workouts. I’ve actually lost 5lbs the week before my cycle more than once! 😂
Yes, please do a video about losing weight and gaining muscle during menopause 😢
I'm going through perimenopause..it's awful.
I have always been quite healthy ..but I put on lots of weight..I am on HRT.
I am weight training first thing at home ..I am walking as running is not a option, due to my knees.
I can't stress enough, diet is so important.
Cut sugar and try to eat fresh foods..protein is important and greek yoghurt and fish is good for you.
Look at the Italian and French women diet's.
I know how hard it is ..I'm going through the same thing.
Hope this helps 😊
We got this ❤
Gaining muscle is easy. Yes, I said that!
However, it takes a long time. More time than many people are willing to devote to actually see results.
Lift heavy weights, eat at least 0.8g of protein per pound of body weight. Don't be in a caloric deficit. Be at least in maintenance calories. Bulk calories is fine, but it can be mismanaged and lead to unwanted weight gain over just muscle.
Do this forever. You'll start to see results in 6 months (especially if you are new lifting weights), but it can take years to really build muscle.
Hi Dr. Mike! I'm 56 and I have embarked on a healthy lifestyle journey on January 2nd, 2024. On this day I weighed in at 183.8 pounds. I started doing treadmill walking twice per day and weight training three times per week. Two weeks into my journey I found your channel and I've been incorporating your wisdom into my journey. I'm currently down to 152.3 pounds 🥰 I'm feeling more energetic, I'm confident about my appearance and I'm encouraged to keep pressing on! Thanks for your wealth of wisdom, guidance and encouragement, you rock!❤❤❤
Which videos do you recommend? 🙂🙂
@@rubyredjeans Hi, I usually try to catch all of the videos as they're dropped. I sometimes rewatch just in case I missed something important. What I've paid most attention to is maintaining my calorie deficit with a big push towards increasing my protein. Plenty of walking, my water intake, rest, and most importantly maintaining consistency.
This is so cool! I’m currently around your starting weight, so this is so inspiring to me!
Very inspiring I’m losing hope here

I wish someone had educated me about this when I was younger. I’m now 50 and peri menopausal, and just found out how much harder it is to lose the weight and build muscle. My body is on strike, and I need to get some control back. Please do more videos about this. Very grateful for your knowledge, and your willingness to share it.
Can you discuss issues like PCOS or endometriosis as well as weight loss for women who are petite. For instance I’m 4”10 so a 500 calorie deficit for me based on the BMR for me would be 545. Absolutely not!
You can try find a ratio of calories and movement.
My bmr is 1900 and I eat about 1700. Doing 8k steps a day pushes my bmr to 2200. Then heavy weight training 4 days a week pushes it 2800. Overall a deficit of 1100.
I dont think a 500 calorie daily Intake is recommended but try getting more steps in and eat at ur bmr.
I have exactly same issue ! Cutting kcal based on my need leaves me on a starvation level so how am I supposed to maintain 500 kcal daily ??? 😮😮😮😮
Aim to be built like Simone Biles. weight train as much as possible.
Actually it should be a 20% calorie deficit rather than absolute 500 calories (does not work for everyone).
Look up Dr. Jason Fung. Intermittent fasting and low carb is the key to weight loss with PCOS.
Thank you for the video!
***Edit*** Suggestion ~ Please talk more about perimenopause which affects women in late 30s - early 50s. Not enough awareness! Too many talk about pmsing or menapause but not in between ~ the transition to menopause. The transition can take an average of 5-12 years before you become fully menopause.
Even doctors want to bypass this topic. I’m in the throws of it at 43. Sucks
This!! I don’t think people realize perimenopause is a thing. I sure didn’t. Nobody ever talks about that
Yesssss and provide a suggested meal plan. Idk why no one wants to talk about perimenopause
I think we have to follow the full, blown menopause plans and suggestions!
@@ellec1009 not really! Based on what I’m hearing.. perimenopause is having pms AND menopause symptoms at the same time. So it def different! The way we eat, exercise, sleep, etc has to be changed or tweaked until the transition to fully menopause.
Thank you! I’ve been a personal trainer and sports nutritionist for over 20 years. I can not tell you how much I appreciate you explaining all this. I’ve been preaching this for years and women do not want to hear it. So thank you! I’m sharing this video with my clients. ❤
Instant subscription 🎉 thank you for addressing this.
I told my ex coach that I'm looking for a gentler exercise approach for the week before my period, he literally asked me, "why?" like I'd said something dumb 🤦♀️ he had previously boasted about his knowledge of the female body...
I'm tired of men (sorry to the ones who do know and understand about women's cycles; i don't mean you) telling me hpw to train or eat or care for my body without any nuances for my hormones, my cycle phases, or any other part of me not being a man!!
Women are tired of being condemned or judged for being hormonal but then having the impacts of their hormones denied when it really matters.
Bless you sir for actually knowing about this difference in women and giving such excellent support and information to others for free ❤
I can’t stand male Dr.s anymore. Except this guy on the channel. 😊
I have a female trainer. Lol! I have PMS and perimenopause and a neurodivergent brain and insomnia....Whoosah...My trainer get it and sees when I'm struggling.
Please add a video how to get tid of belly fat over 55 years old. Long after menopause. Thank you so much. Will be waiting not just for me thousands of women in the same boat.

No one ever talks about this! It is much needed!
Yes please do a video for us ladies on how to train and diet around the different phases of our cycle. I’m in my 30s and still struggling with this despite training for several years. My younger sister has PCOS so a video on that too would be super helpful.

Thank you Dr. Mike. This is great. Please don't forget the 60+ issues women have.
Yes please do something for this age thanks 😊 I have put on 2 stone after a fall hurting my leg knee and hand so couldn’t do any exercise
Yes please also for us “older” women who are battling menopause. It’s so hard
I've suffered PCOS since I was 12 years old - 5 - 7 day cycles. I turned 36 this year, and it wasn't until after I had a miscarriage at 30 (Rest in peace, Eli) that I finally started getting a period every month to 1 1/2 months, but it's never set on when it shows up. I've never been able to accurately track my cycle - and the constant chronic pain from the PCOS doesn't help. I've been fighting to get my weight to a normal level all this time (low sodium, high protien, low carb since age 15) It's a very, very slow process, so I appreciate you taking the time to remind us that every body is different.
I’m now menopausal, but I have PCOS and had to use IVF to have kids. I can tell you you can lose weight. Look at the south beach diet. South Beach diet I lost weight and I actually stopped having arthritis flareups. My doctor said I couldn’t lose weight because of my PCOS, well until menopause I was a size 2 and a size 8 don’t believe what tells you. You can do it. Believe in yourself. And make sure that they’re checking your thyroid because hypothyroidism is very common. Good luck!
I am 56 years old, 5ft 5in tall and weigh 122lbs. I weigh what I weighed at 34 when I had my child. I do intermittent fasting every day in the morning and eat my first healthy meal at 1pm and my last meal at 7pm. In between eating times, I drink lots of lemon, cucumber water with a pinch of himalaya salt. I do drink a cup of black coffee with half tsp coconut oil and half tsp extra virgin olive oil in the morning. I tried HRT, it did not do well for me, so I replaced it with healthy fats, adding more plants based foods to my diet, doing some daily walking and stretching. I also removed all Gluten from my diet. I immediately saw a difference in my skin, my sleep and I had no brain fog. It is important to eat adequate amount of protein as well to help build, keep or maintain muscle mass. Additionally, I supplement with 2000iu of vitamin D daily all year. I look and feel better than I have ever felt. People think I an in my 30's. It's also important to practice mindfulness and gratitude. All these things combined will bring the best results! ❤❤❤
Can you take me om the get fit journey
Im going to try that! I eat bread now and I always end up feeling boated. I am going to try the fasting but not the vitamin d. I get sun everyday because I walk 3 miles a day but still have a stomach fat. I do weights a few times a week too! Maybe this fasting and eliminating gluten will be the trick!!! I am hopeful!

Try snack on fruits and drink hot herbal tea and eater to prevent the sugar craving.
Hi! I'm 58 years old and really glad I've found you! I'm following the macros and have had great success so far, but I would like to see more information on post-menopause. I see very little info on building muscle, weight loss, maintenance ect., after menopause.
Thanks for your help! 💕
Yes I'm with you! I'm 58 too. I have had success with IF 16:8 in the past but it stopped working at some point. I get at least 7,000 steps per day. I took a break from strength training bc I was just too sore for days afterwards! However, I'm easing back into it. Menopause is the devil 👿
Yes menopause sucks, 61 here. My concern is with restricted fat intake, women need more fat than men for hormone production. I did the carnivore diet and lost weight like crazy to the point where I had trouble keeping weight on. I’m 5’ 5’’ and got down to 103 lbs I had to add carbs and dairy back in to gain weight.
Wow! I will look into the carnivore diet. I haven't heard much about it
I used to intermittent Fast and Work out before Menopause and Now that I am Post Menopause I Fast as Much as 18 to 24 Hours and Work Out and Still Barely any results!!! Please Help Us!!! I guarantee You I'm not the Only One...I watch my Eating Habits and Counteract Sweets with ACV shots but I am Sooo Exhausted playing the Guessing Game at This! Check out Fast Like A Girl by Dr. Mindy Pelz
Extended fasting has actually been shown to do more harm than good for women. Anything beyond 14-16 hours impacts our hormones negatively.
If you haven’t done so, make sure you are including resistance training in your lifestyle. And not light weights. Heavy weight training is what is important.
Exactly! I'm 58 and very discouraged! Strength training until I can barely walk! IF 16:8 and getting more protein and fiber, still no results! Please help!!
@@sharona6857 While you should experience soreness with strength training at times, you shouldn’t be barely able to walk. If your workouts are causing this, I’d say get a good trainer. There’s also a really good trainer on UA-cam who caters to women 50+, it’s called Strength with Cee (look up Cheryl Coulombe). And the workouts are free. And doable. Women are achieving great results with her. But because you’re over stressing your body which causes a rise in cortisol, the workouts aren’t helping you. I would highly recommend looking up Cheryl.
I am 74 yrs and post menopause..my weight has climbed since menopause started...i have dieted but it is almost impossible to lose belly fat. I wish there was more focus on post menopause as this stage of my life is most discouraging.
I’m 68 5’3” went from 187 to 115. Started eating one meal a day 3-4pm. Mostly steak, ground beef and salmon along with spinach or asparagus and at least 1/2 an avocado. I don’t snack or eat sugar at all. I make a drink each night which I drink throughout the day and finish it prior to bedtime. I take 64 oz of water and add a green tea bag a 1/2 lemon or lime squeeze the juice into the water and peel and cut up the rest which I add to the water with 1/2 a ginger root diced and 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar. I drink this starting from the time I wake up. I also have a cup of black coffee every other morning. I haven’t eaten out in a restaurant since I started this journey. Before I get out of the bed I do a 10 minute JUST FIT workout while laying in my bed. After I drink my first cup of my water mixture I take a 1 hour walk. And another walk after my meal. I also go to the gym every other day. Take a swim class or I do a little light weight workout class. Sometimes I use a 10lb weight and hold it at my chest and do 25 squats but I didn’t start with a 10lb weight I started with a 2lb weight. I have no noticeable loose skin and I feel great. Also I started off by eating twice a day noon and then at 4pm but realized I was no longer hungry at noon and was only eating because I thought I needed to. I met this 75 year old couple that both look like there in there 40s and they told me they only ate once a day at 10am. They got up every morning and workout on bars then took a walk and went swimming 7 days a week. They said they ate what ever they wanted but didn’t consume sugar. Since they live in Ecuador where I am now you can do that because they do not add additives to there foods and sweets other than breads are hard to find here. I do enjoy berries once in a while and they produce some of the best blueberries and strawberries here. Good luck on journey because I know you can do it. Also my Dr has taken me off all meds. My blood pressure and cholesterol are normal and my visceral fat is 5% BMI 18.
Excellent
Post menopausal and I have weight where I never used to carry it. Eating clean is not a problem but to think that I would have to spend the rest of my life (~20 years) severely restricting my diet, what and when I eat feels very discouraging. I wish that I could weight train like I used to but my health simply doesn’t permit it.
@@merrijohnson-jones1072 I'd be concerned about my teeth drinking lemon and acv all day. I also focus on animal protein and fat.
my mom's 74....she just stopped eating so much... Never mind the food what exercise do you do? Women at that age are allowed to have 24 to 35% body fat. What has your doctor said? what is your waist size and your waist-to-hip ratio?...these are more indicators of how healthy you are instead of whether your stomach is flat or not.
I used to be able to lose 5 pounds in about 3 days of just eating less and dancing a bit more. I never even owned a scale, just noticed changes in how my clothes fit. I had some jeans I could only wear if I 'slimmed down' a few days first. Easy. Now, post-menopause, I've been trying to lose a mere 5 pounds for over a year and instead have gone up by 4 pounds!
Love your videos. Currently on week 6 of the walking/cardio program you laid out a while ago. It’s been wonderful and I’m starting to see results. I’d appreciate a video on exercise and diet strategies throughout the different phases of our cycles. Thank you!
This was so informative!! I appreciate your content, so professional and concise. I'm happy to see a video that relates to women and weight loss. Everything you said was spot on how we compare our weightloss to men and give up when the scale doesn't respond. Thank you! I am 52 years old, perimenopausal and have an appointment on Monday with my OBGYN. Night sweats, belly fat, trying so many diets over the years has caught up with me. I'm reminded by your video that it's a long game not short. Since January I've been a carnivore with no sugar and less than 10 carbs daily. God bless you!! -Val in Virginia 🎉❤💪
Love the content! Yes, please make a video on how to train and eat during the menstrual cycle! I’m sure many would be grateful! Thank you again!
I am so that you are making this kind of videos for women, we are always looking for good content on keeping ourselves healthy. keep the videos coming.
Great video! The tortoise wins the race. I never heard some of these pointers before, much appreciated.
I "loosely" started weight watchers in January, cut out soda (I still have my sweet coffees) increased water and walk more everyday. I've lost 6 pounds and even though that doesn't sound like much in 4 months, it's quite encouraging at 42 years old when working out alone wasn't doing anything. I know realize from your video that I was previously probably doing too much cardio and the slower but steady walking actually works better for me. ❤❤
This was the most informative and relatable videos I’ve seen on weight loss ever. Especially for women. I identified with about 3-4 things I have been experiencing/nor taking into consideration with my weight loss journey despite loosing 13 lbs in 2 1/2 months so far… because about 3lbs of that weight loss was muscle loss. Please do more videos like this! I enjoyed every minute and learned a TON. More than I have in the fitness community in YEARS!
Thank you for talking about this, I'm glad it's finally becoming more well known. Would love to see a video about training during each phase of the cycle. A big challenge for me is eating and working out well during follicular and genuinely 'undoing' all of that by overeating and being starving in the luteal!

As far as I understand it, the whole endomorph/exomorph thing doesn't exist. Perhaps you're muscle mass is just very low or your hunger isn't easily satiated.

The puzzle pieces finally feel like they fit together. Thank you so much for this and yes, please keep them coming!
Thank you for sharing this information. I am 48 yrs old and in February of this year was the first time I ever started going to a gym. Sure I have done years of cardio and hitt exercising but I have never lifted weights as much as I am now. I wanted to feel better in my body and wanted to also contribute time to regaining muscle mass not to mention I lift heavy items at work and wanted to aid more ease in those tasks. I have been going through perimenopause and have been noticing my mid section is the most stubborn when it comes to shrinking. I do more resistance training then cardio, honestly probably not enough cardio, and I have been increasing my protein intake and eating cleaner. I have to say it is still so disappointing, but I still continue to show up for myself at the gym. Also it is an added bonus that is a family affair, my 14 yr old daughter and my husband go as well and we go together almost every day. My daughter is obese but she is losing weight and getting healthier and I know we are instilling good habits for her now to take with her for the rest of her life. Thank you again for your great video. And yes I would love to know more!

How does this change for women with PCOS?

Thank you for addressing the ladies!
Thank you so much for putting menstrual cycle as the first point! Alot of women don’t realize how its effect to life is much more than just bleeding or babies. Like what you said, the menstrual cycle actually impacts a woman’s weight, energy and even acne and emotional stability. I wished I learned about this sooner, so I could be kinder to myself on days I don’t feel as ‘strong’
P.S. As a STEM girlie, I really appreciate that you bring studies and evidence to support your points. Yes to science communication!

listening to this made me so happy as you confirmed a lot of things I already knew but never heard anyone articulate them with conviction. I am surrounded by men who make heavy handed comments about how I can loose weight and what I need to do to look after myself. Most men are not qualified to comment about this, and most of the time it is very discouraging and can make you want to give up more than any of the other hurdles of weight loss. Please continue to educate both men and women on how our bodies work, and how we can develop our physical and mental health.
Appreciate the video Dr. Mike! I would appreciate seeing/hearing more tips/suggestions for those women in menopause and over 50 please
THANK YOU SO MUCH for this video. I would LOVE to see more videos about specific exercise and nutrition strategies for women of 50+ years. This is a very under addressed topic. Yes very much please do a video around women in later stage menstrual cycles and post menopausal years. There needs to be more talk and help around this issue that hasnt been available to women entering this stage in life. Im 51 and i soak up all the info i can get. Best advice i can give that i feel is a tried and true practice for me is walking...esp after meals and esp in the evening. I aim for 10 to 15k steps daily. Helps with both mental and physical health!

Hi Dr Mike, I would love more content and menopause! It's really hard to lose belly fat for sure. Any idea and how to workout would be useful.

Keep them coming Mike 👏🏼
Dr. Mike,
I love your content! Please add additional content to consider things women experience:
a. Irregular menstrual cycles
b. Menstrual pain and what can help
c. What to do when drinking lots of water and having excess cellular water retention. I experienced this trying to lose weight. Thank you!!
Yes! We Women need theese videos, cant wait for the next one, thanks so much. Gratitude from Yucca Valley, Ca.
Yes I believe more content related to women will be beneficial to your subscribers that are women too. We are seeking good content around health, resistance training and best practices on nutrition. Men aren’t the only human species looking for this information
Love the content...please do more of this kind ❤
Yes, more of these for us women, pls 🙏🏽 I gained 4 lbs and got so bloated this last time around. It’s discouraging but I didn’t stop my workouts. Mostly walking though. Didn’t feel like lifting much.
The end of your cycle requires more rest and less stress. Listen to your body. Walking is great. Thank God when I was young I just had to chill at times. We pushed ourselves way too hard trying to ignore our nature. Be wise
Yes I was wondering when I would see more videos for ladies
Thanks I felt so good to hear every word of it. It keeps me more motivated to be consistent and patient. Thank you so much. Please give us some suggestions on women with hypothyroidism. I’m 48
Make a video on 60+ year old women.. What about women who had a hysterectomy?
Complete hysterectomy with oophorectomy
Yes! Totally agree!!!
Yes, no hysterectomy but had been fit with a flat stomach until a couple of years ago.. now I can’t figure out how to get rid of the belly fat 😢
A complete hysterctomy puts you into menopause so follow for menopause.
Had a partial hysterectomy and can't tract my cycle now so frustrating.
Your videos are so reality based. Thank you for presenting facts and not promoting dishonesty to make money.
Yyeeesss more for ladies would be great 💪💪💪
Dr Mike, thanks so much for this article why women don't lose belly fat...it was very informative and I will start resistance training for muscle mass...I owe it to myself at 81 years old to take care of my body for as long as possible.
Fat is just as important as protein. Too much lean protein will spike your blood sugar and raise your insulin. Eat the saturated fat, ladies.
What foods have saturated fat please.
@@lindalamb7512 any kind of fatty red meat, hun. Steak, bacon, and even eggs, etc. And don’t let them tell you that too much butter, cheese, and heavy cream are bad for you. They most certainly are not. If you follow a low-carb diet, all of these things are very nutritious. I’ve been carnivore/keto for two years and I eat 4,000 calories a day and 30 pounds of meat a month. I’m 5’5” and 115 lbs and I’ve never felt better. Good luck on your health journey!
I would love health and workout videos on women with type 1 diabetes, women on different kind of birthcontrole and women mid life and menopause.
This video was greate!!!
Hi Dr. Mike, I'm 42 and using nexplanon contraception, been struggle lately to lose even only for 2 kg. I did calories defisit, weight lifting 3x a week, cardio 2x a week. But still, nothing change. I would appreciate more tips for women with contraception to lose weight. Thank you so much for this content
How long have you been doing this training and food change? How much protein are you eating? What type of cardio are you doing?
Dr mike, thank you for covering this subject. I feel like a lot of men. And even women shy away from the subject. When people do that it makes women feel that their issues don't/shouldn't matter. Bless you ❤
Very understandable explanations, informative without losing the audience. Thank you.
I like to see a video for women that are wanting to workout- loose/ gain fat or muscle while going through post partum and breastfeeding. I’m 36 and I am 3 months post partum and breast feeding. I would love to see videos about this and how to manage the hormones during that time as well. Thanks for the content!!
Yes please do a video on developing an exercise & diet plan based on our menstrual cycle! ❤
