It took me about 5 minutes b4 I realized this wasn’t froggy flips! I finished up though it was a good time look forward to more! Especially VHS finds!😎
Hi! I really like your videos! I have a question as i am thinking about starting out a youtube channel myself. Where do you position your camera and what do you use to mount it? I really like the point of view! Thanks!
I wear a backpack with a chest strap and the camera is mounted on that facing slightly downward. It’s an instago360 black camera with the clip-on mount that is included. It’s the only camera I could find that isn’t obvious in your face, as I prefer to be incognito haha
I see you’re local to the Hickory area I recognize the Thunderbird flea market and the fairground flea market also known as the cattle sale. Haven’t been to these in quite a while but here lately I’ve gotten collecting I’m gonna have to visit them more often and I see a lot of awesome stuff!
There’s lots of inside flea markets here but they are usually not that great since it’s generally the full time resellers/stores that use them. The deals are always with the garage sale getting rid of stuff people who set up on outside tables.
noticed in a lot of your videos you mention or show your trade in spot, any recommendations for how to find something like that in other areas of the country? looks like the store you use only has locations in TN and NC
There is a store called Bookmans out west that is kind of similar also “2nd and Charles” and “Half Priced Books”. I don’t know of any others. Best way would be to look up media and book stores nearby and just trade stuff in there as a test and judge what they give you in return.
What is the best way to know if they are vintage or old Lego? Also how did you get the knowledge to know about books, tape action figures, video games and system, comic books, Lego ect? Love your videos!
I had lego since I was a child so I recognize a lot of parts from back then. I don’t know a whole lot yet as I’ve just recently started getting into them for the first time in 20 years haha. As for the knowledge of other things, it’s all about just being interested in it. If you like video games and collect them yourself it’s easy to learn which ones are valuable and which aren’t. And the trial and error of buying and attempting to flip them teaches a lot! But yeah I have no interest in things like vintage clothing therefore I know nothing about it and I would not be able to do that as well as some people. The most important thing though for any flipper is to expand the knowledge into new categories. It’s very challenging but if you put in the work to learn you’ll reap the rewards.
tks for telling me to look for books more, i found 4 first print strephen king, and some value village or other stores, they look like they always getting some🙂
Those stores never look at the editions or print runs so you can score big with a little extra knowledge! Some first prints or just early prints even, can sell into the hundreds. Also nice condition book club editions sell super fast.
Have ypu sold partial lego sets before? Like a set that's approximately 90% complete. I have some mostly complete sets, but don't know how to price them.
Found some PS3 and PS4 games today and 1994 McDonald’s toys, going to our local flea market this Saturday. That’s why I don’t buy a lot of electronics they don’t work or the buyer tries to rip you off.
I’d definitely still sell the vhs. Box is up and put it on the shelf. Also, manga is pronounced with a short “a”. My wife would go nuts if she heard that 😂 good pick ups
Careful saying “wrong way” or “right way.” For some people the time isn’t worth the potential value. A quick flip to make $350 might be worth more to them than hours for potential $600. I have three daughters and a wife who would build the legos for sure so I’d be with you on this, but taking that time doesn’t work for a lot of sellers.
You’re definitely right about that, I guess if you have the time and enjoy it, it’s worth it, but it does take hours and hours to build 1000-piece sets out of a huge tub.
Do people actually buy books ? Like is it a hot sell . I get games are but books I don't get I personally have had good luck flipping high end used mountain bike parts and lawnmowers .
Books are the best category of item to flip, a million times better than video games. And that’s coming from somebody who flips tons and tons of video games. First, they are difficult to learn, so most resellers avoid them. Very little competition as a result. Which leads to the second, almost everybody undervalues them. I get insane book deals constantly. Even at Goodwill and used book stores. Also, books are easy to value and don’t require testing or cleaning. You just buy them and list them in 2 seconds. They also get media mail shipping so their weight doesn’t matter that much. They take a while to sell depending on what it is, and also take up a bit of room. But those are the only drawbacks. You get enough books, it doesn’t matter how long they sit. You are selling them constantly. I know people who sell books on eBay almost exclusively and are making 15k a month. So I am always trying to demonstrate that to viewers, because books are the best!
@@FlippityFlip ok I might give it a go. I live in newzealand and the market is a bit different and alot smaller and being a isolated country shipping kills it .I found outdoor stuff sells fishing hunting sport stuff sells for me and we don't have large shops like goodwill so thrifting is done on market place and smaller charity run places like hospice shop or spca op shops . Any way keep the good work up
The Miller flea market doesn't real get start until after 9:30ish (Sunday). I set up every other Sunday usually in J, K, or L Building. I sell dvd, cd, records. I will be there this Sunday if you are out and about
@@FlippityFlipnot bad, little less vendors as long as it stays in the 50's/60's. When it's in the 30's, not much is happening. Do you think the Hickory fairground one is worth selling (on Thursday)? Heard it great on Thanksgiving day.
@@pcon I've heard mixed things about selling there from people, but the few times I've set up I did really good. Thanksgiving day is packed out, the whole market is about twice as big as normal that day. loads of buyers too

Oz is an amazing series and well worth a watch before you sell it. Each episode has a small "moral lesson" in it, not just about the US prison system, but also society as a whole. The writing and acting is stellar.
@@Jacob-nu4nd The economy crash in 2008 was secondary to Clinton era policies regarding mortgage loans….. Bush jr was terrible though with his unnecessary wars. Trump is a pacifist and anti-war
I think the movie is banned in several countries like France, and eBay doesn’t want to get in trouble. It’s the same with any WW2 German antiques displaying the swastika. The ban happened around 2015 I think, but you can still sneak them on and sell them but it’s difficult to get around the bot and reporters. I wouldn’t risk it anyways as you could have your account banned after a few offenses.

Class video! The retro lego sets are quality! Thank you for sharing 👊
Fun to see someone picking in the same categories as me! New subscriber here! Greetings from Sweden!
Hey man! I picked up that frat boy collection last week but set it back. It’s cool to see something I had in my hands on the tv!
Oh yeah!!!!
I always pick dvd/vhs combos they always sell really well

Do they have big inside markets there also? Here they mostly do it inside because our weather is so good.

They go down significantly if they are not complete, especially if missing unique set-exclusive pieces. I don’t sell them unless they are 100%
