    Wow! My legs are quickly getting stronger. No more flopping onto the couch; now it's a slow sit, and a slow rise getting up. After just a week, I'm noticing this movement is becoming a habit, and with some added leg strength it's getting easier and with no twinges of pain across my lower back. Amazing!

    Definitely felt the effort coming through my hips rather than my lower back 👍

    In the video the chair seat is higher than your knees - most chairs put my knee height above the seat height and cause pain when I exercise - Looking forward to practicing this exercise with the proper setup

    Just saw video, I agree wholeheartedly with Taro san.
    I had fusion and laminectomy of my L3, 4, &5.
    Post surgery my pain was relieved but a couple years later the pain was progressively returning.
    These exercises after 1 session has relieved my lumbar pain.
    Keep up the good work!

    Any tips for the hypermobile body that deals with hips subluxing or dislocating? I'm still learning to identify when my hips are malaligned, and one of the symptoms is that I can't ground my foot well on the side that is out. I love the mindful movement and have benefitted from some of the movements you have shared here. I guess what I am curious about is if you have any insight for helping a hypermobile body mindfully keep things in place.

      learning to develop kinesthetic awareness and motor control skills is the key so you can support your weight and movement with ideal skeletal organization.

    Taro, so when you're walking you press on the heel of the foot you're using first to begin the walking movement?

    • @TaroIwamoto
      @TaroIwamoto  17 днів тому +2

      i allow the weight to transfer from the heel to the balls of my foot and allow the force to transmit through my legs, spine and head if that makes any sense to you.

      I would check out one of Taro's videos on sciatica. You could just focus on a sciatica focused video until things settle down and then try this or you could use that video as a warm up to this video. Try it out and see if it works for you!
