I used to have a YAMAHA SR400, 40 year old beauty. i took it everywhere, from the local stores to into some trails... very nice. so i understand your love for yours. =)
@@anotherguyonabike4726 yeah. Even tho it’s more a road bike. It still handles the dirt . Like Condamine river road and Rocky River road. Just slower. But that’s ok. I am there to enjoy the scenery. Not race 😅
I got the last year model dr650 they were allowed to sell brand new - done over 50k on it in 2 years now - I always take the bike lol. Kinda miss my ttr250 I used to have though if im honest that bike was great fun and easier offroad you never really got "stuck" with it being so light and small it went through everything lol
Hey Curtis, I actually learnt to ride an a Suzuki 90 step through back at the age of 13 to 15 years old. I'm 56 now, wow saying that out loud lol anyway i do commute daily rain hail or shine on my beloved 2013 KLR 650.

Enjoyed watching this podcast - words just cannot describe how goid these bikes are I reckon - travelled up to Bundaberg in January to buy the CT110 i have now which is in immaculate condition - by the tine i drove up there from the Gold Coast there were over 20 people lined up behind me wanting to snap thus lityie beauty up - she's an absolute beast - i live on the Gold Coast & take it up into the mountains up to Binna Burra stopping at the Flying Bean cafe - whenever i have a brew there it generates alot of interest from all other riders - they can't believe i ride up there on this little treasure - i absolutely love her - i call her Red (pretty original...not😅) - I also have a 2023 Royal Enfield Himalayan but i gotta say i enjoy riding Red so much more - it's old school look value is just so important to me as im from that era & it has the most comfortable seat out of any bike I've owned - one bloke offered me $4k for it when i parked it at the shops at Benowa - i said "not on your Nelly mate...too hard to find one in such good nick as this one". There hasn't been anywhere where Red can't tackle since I've owned her - next year im going on the Australian Postie Bike Challenge - applications open up at the end of September & I'll be first in line - can hardly wait for that postie bike adventure. The simplicity of these bikes from repair to ease if operation surpasses all other bikes imo - also has a snorkel that runs up to the seat which allows me to cross creeks & rivers - not much yet stops Red.
@@RedBaron-15 wow how cool is that. Mate iv gotta agree they really are easy to work on and parts are so cheap. I got my Mrs a cb125e to learn on and if it's in the garage and I need to go out I'll jump on it. We've done overnighters on it 2 up, great capable bike
