Oh man I admire her so much! She's great, so funny and accommodating! Janeway was my favourite Captain. After seeing this, I want to see Kate live.
Greg Treadwell me too
This woman is a legend - and beautifully articulate!
Love the woman. She's funny, classy and very smart. She's doing a great job as "Red" in Orange is the New Black, but she'll always be remembered as Captain Janeway.
Kate and her roll of Captain Janeway are awesome and have changed my life. I was inspired to go back into education at the age of 45 to begin the journey to become a Psychologist. She rocks!
Never a dull moment when Kate Mulgrew is around. Very interesting, eloquent and charming woman. They don't make them like her anymore. Love her!
My favourite captain in the Star Trek universe.
My to!!!
wow. I knew she was an amazing actress, but she's also a very likeable person when she's herself!
Everything has been said but I just love Kate Mulgrew so much! She is such an inspiration to everybody and she is not ashamed of who she is and I respect and look up to that. I love Voyager and Janeway is my favorite character. The emotion and passion that Kate puts into Janeway is just inspiring. I love how Kate doesn't try to be reserved and too polite onstage, in fact she is very outgoing and very hilarious!
Kate is just a fantastic woman both on ST Voyager as Capt Janeway but as Kate Mulgrew. Her stories I love, I could listen to them for ages, so much emotion in her experiences. I think her book will be an interesting read. I'd so love to see her at a panel one day.
Hi! I hope you read this...years later...but I just listened to her reading her book Born With Teeth on UA-cam. Someone posted the entire audio book! It was wonderful! Doubly so, since it was like she was telling me her life story. I hope you look it up and enjoy it as I did.
The only capt. who's being there with her fan's after so many years. Now, it's like Seven seasons and 1 episode. Thank you Capt. Janeway.(although i think 'Jeffen' was in "Workforce" ).
What a delightful human being Kate Mulgrew is!
This was a real treat to watch, she is so charming, i've seen full panels that have been flat and a little dull but this one lady manages to keep that audience and me hooked for a hour, simply brilliant! (Thank you for posting) I agree with her homosexuality would have been an interesting area to explore.
Such a classy Lady and always was such a commanding, compelling strong presence in all her roles, but more so as Capt. Janeway. Some people have such a strong persona that all eyes can't help but look around and wonder where that energy emits from. She was truly the right choice to be a Capt. of a starship because clearly if she's in so command of herself, she could surly be of other's. She had natural talents and she does have leadership abilities. I don't think it was much of a stretch for her, she just seemed so adept at it. She was born for a role in Star Trek and to be of Star Trek history It was the natural course to take! I think years later, people will be more likely to remember the Captain's of Star Trek than they will of President's of the U.S.
My favorite actress for so many reasons! So talented, smart, such interesting person, beautiful... She is inspiration for me!
She sounds like an incredibly wonderful, and kind woman in real life. Not entirely unlike a certain Captain really. I really enjoyed listening to this woman speak. Plenty of great insights.
She's such a great actor.
Thank you very much for the post.
Kate is amazing, that's all, I never get tired of her speeches.
She's a great actress, and funny too. I have just watched the entire first season of Orange Is The New Black with her in a role as a Russian cook who is sent to prison. She plays a character called Red.
I didn't realize this was online. I was halfway back in the audience. She was great.
Her vocabulary is wonderful, half the time I'm trying to think of their meanings.
What a woman!
Thank YOU very much, from one within your grateful fanbase.
Probably the most professional, talented, inspirational, witty and larger than life female actress that I have ever had the pleasure to watch - live long and prosper Kate!
I am so totally gonna buy and read her book when it comes out! Cant wait!! Love her and have for many years, most of my life! :)
Kate Mulgrew, I Adore This Woman.
Didn't intend to watch the video the full way through...here I am halfway through :) my favourite captain
she has the best star trek panels, so gracious and entertaining.
OMg..This woman is Brilliant. What a GEM !!
As an old fan, emphasis on old, of the franchise from the very beginning, my love of Voyager was perhaps stronger than for the other follow up Treks because it seemed to me that Voyager had the spirit of the first Trek that none of the others had. The bonus was, of course, that it had Kate. Women everywhere owe her a debt for showing us how it is done.
OMG star trek with william shakespeare, that cracked me up for half an hour!!!!!sooooo funny
Love Kate Mulgrew !
she is wonderful
Thanks for this. Kate is captivating and very genuine!
That was really good. One of the best I have seen of a Star Trek actor (or actress as is the case here) interacting with the audience. I have seen some of her more current ones (especially the Las Vegas ones) where its moderated and they aren't as good. This is really the best of hers. Sadly I'm not a fan of Voyager but that is no fault of Kate, she is great and was great on the show. The show itself just wasn't written well in my opinion but she does make it that much more watchable and what she said here really makes a fan feel welcome.
I just adore this woman. She is so smart, so elegant, so sexy, so funny, so sweet. I could go on and on about her. I would love to see her do more comedy because she has GREAT comedic timing and her facial expressions are amazing! I could listen to her talk for hours.
Incredible sense of humor.
Kate is so entertaining Best Q & A thank you
Yea they got their moneys worth. She didnt blink once, she is truely amazing.
I love Kate so much
thanks for the video, i got caught up in the lost girl and couldn't attend it. i went to her q&a back in 2010. kate is a wonderful and funny lady
Damn, she is so funny and charismatic.
A wonderful, articulate and clever lady...I loved every second. Thank you for posting.
Not that much fan of captain Janeway, but I absolutely adore Kate.
Hmm, she's the Star Trek legend
I've been watching Star Trek since the original series, including Next Generation, Deep Space 9, Voyager, and attempted to watch Enterprise. One thing that I thought was unfair to Ms. Mulgrew was the idea of her having an affair with her first officer; Picard didn't have an affair with his Chief Medical Officer, he had a relationship with explorer Vashe; Sisko didn't have an affair with his first Officer Kira Nerys, he had a relationship with Freighter Captain Cassidy Yates. Why couldn't Janeway have someone like that?
Kate answered the one topic the series did not touch - it explored racism, suicide, depression, etc. was homosexuality - her response was great! At 21:31
Shes amazing she knows her own series like the back of her hand.
Funny thing, Flemeth brought me here.
Because Felemeth's voice is the most heart-piercing in all DA.
I never would imagined Kate doing it, while at the same time it was strangely familiar when I first heard it.
From all my heart, thank you Kate. We love you.
She's so beautiful and helarious love her!😍😘😘
very nice recording....thank you for sharing.
Wow she's awesome! Love her💕
i would love to just sit down and have dinner with this hilarious, wonderful woman.
Wow...i know i didn't understood everything because I'm German but she is amazing! She is funny, friendly and so...warmhearted (can I call it so?) I love her playing Captain Janeway, she was amazing! Thanks for uploading this :) I really want to meet her but I think thats never going to happen :(
I laugh soooo much xD I love her
I think she was the perfect choice for Kathryn Janeway. I could NOT imagine any man OR woman matching her in wit, charm, integrity, and longevity!
Wow, I didn't know she was such a great person.,
She is so amazing, beautiful, wonderful...
Really cool! Thanks for posting. She seems like a great lady!
She has such fun with the fans - you can really tell that she loves doing cons and the fans
the thing is,, she is jayneway
40:15 thru 40:34 is the reason why Mulgrew is awesome.
I miss Voyager and the cast, because of this show i managed to become more of a intellectual and to increase my vocab, and my imagination, and I cant help in thinking of how our generation is failing badly.
Warehouse13 is Awesome.
But Mulgrew is THEE greatest!!
Kate Mulgrew for President😀😀
Janeway is a BAD ASS
Thanks for this :) Great view too!
08:07 "Here, here" - Harry Kim
I lost Dad to dementia, I know exactly what she meant about loosing her Mum to Alzheimers. She is an awesome lady.
Loved the DaVinci episodes
very classy lady. she was voyager!
she is the best to see at a covention
*salutes*
You would that that after 3 or 4 later someone could provide (CC) closed captioning to this video.
Seriously folks Deaf people would love to watch this show too.
I’m on my smartphone so maybe it only a problem with cell phones.
If your on a desktop computer let me know if you can get (CC) working?
voyager is the only startrek worth watching really now that picard has ruined the canon.
There's coffee in that nebula
Classy lady
I have not see her since that last time she came. That was in 2008 and I have to say 50$
Was not to bad then some others.
Thos are looking for pic and videos of the Fanexpo 2012. Come and check out my video that I made.
Great job recording. I couldn't of done it without laughing at her funnies. But technically Beverly Crusher Captained the Enterprise before Cpt. Janeway came along. Help me out trekkies.
Technically, Number One (Majel Barrett) (The Cage) Captained the Enterprise before either of them.
theres coffee in that nebula
31:10 what is shes saying? I don´t understand the joke :( I´m from Germany, can someone help me please?
"She's a wack job" which just means a crazy person.
She plays a character called Kove on a parody show called NTSF:SD:SUV. The character, in Kate's opinion, is a "whack job" meaning she's insane. The person off camera says "And you do it [play her] so well!". Kate is humorously reacting as if she's saying she must be a "whack job" to play her so well. I hope that's what you were asking.
Ron Weaver she must have had so much fun with Kove, in fact she takes the Mickey out of herself heaps in it
Beltran was cool...come on guys let's not be bitter, these are all hard working actors
Kate might not have wanted Janeway to have a lover but she is clearly thirsty.
She sais the same about Russia..
Not gonna lie, that's kinda creepy.
Yea they got their moneys worth. She didnt blink once, she is truely amazing.
