Potensic ATOM Another Distance Test: Disappointed.

I flew my Potensic Atom along a new route to see how far it can reach. I chose this route because the drone will fly in an uninhabited area, mostly forests. Very unfortunately, it could only reach around 600 meters before an automatic Return-To-Home was activated. It is even more important that video transmission was disconnected very briefly at about 330 meters.
IMO, the weakest link of this Atom is its rather weak video transmission or penetration. Actually, it is the worst of all Mini drones I have. For example, my DJI Mini 4K reached 2947 meters along the same route. This is almost 4.5 times more than the Atom can reach. Sooner or later I will test the FIMI X8 Mini V2 (or 3) and the HolyStone HS900. I am sure the DJI Mini 4K is the best, even though the Mini 4 lacks the Visual Tracking and WayPoint features. On the other hand, the Atom has a very weak Visual Tracking because the it can miss the target very frequently. Additionally, the Atom cannot fly high to avoid possible obstacles along the path (or it could miss the target) and you have to watch where the drone is (because you don't know how it will react if the target changes direction). The Atom's WayPoint is OK but very primitive.
I love this Atom and hope the transmission/penetration problem can be solved.

Sometimes trees mess up the signal, I've lost connection to my Mavic Mini just through the thin branches at the top of trees 🌳 😊

As mentioned somewhere (or elsewhere), the flight distance is environment dependent. This is the reason I have been trying to fly my drones along the same route at approximately the same conditions.
