I have seen some goofy lists on best neighborhoods in Edmonton. Finally one that makes sense.

Good Video. Lot's of information for people looking into moving in on one of these neighbourhoods. Can you please make a video and share your information about some of the Northside neighbourhoods in Edmonton? That would be great! 👍 Thanks.

Hamptons and Rio are interesting picks. But I’d agree with most of the others.
Surprised Oliver isn’t on this list. Incredibly trendy, most walkable and dense community in Alberta, but super residential & quiet.
Hamptons has brutal traffic and forces you to use the henday for getting anywhere. Cookie cutter and boring. Rio is “secluded and quiet”, or put another way “hard to access and boring”. No shops or anything walkable. And the pitch of it being quiet for cars is a bit ironic because it’s a car dependent community with brutal transit and biking options that increases car use. Homes are pretty old too, but not as nicely redone as Crestwood, highlands, riverdale, etc.
    Good list overall though!

I'm planning to move to Edmonton, but I'm worried about the high crime rate in Oliver.

@@GoodGuyDream Oliver isn’t bad at all! Just don’t be silly with valuables in cars and you’re fine. Certain apartments are more sketchy too, but most are super nice and filled with young professionals and mature people.

Surprised that BonnieDoon isn't on this list.....I love this neighborhood. Duggan's, Columbian, Bicyclette.....and up against Mill Creek with trailheads for mountain bikers such as myself.

Surprised someone would mention Bonnie Doon.

@@clo Clearly you are missing out. It's a fantastic neighborhood. Add the Flying Canoë Volant to the mix. But to your point it may not be for you. These lists are subjective. In sure you love where you live :) Oh and walking distance to Folk Fest!
