Thanks for your reply! I love it here, but the reality is that i won't be able to buy and have a future here with a future family. I am interested in Edmonton, but it HAS to be in a safe, low crime area. Does that still exist in Edmonton? Ideally a 2 bed, 1 bath or 2 bath under $190K? I appreciate your responses! Take care!
@@jasonsymes2127 The struggle is real. I spent a couple years in Vancouver about 20 years ago and would snowboard/mountain bike in Whistler all the time. It’s a pretty special spot for sure. For $190k and the kind of specs you’re wanting, you’ll have some great options in Edmonton. Even brand new construction and definitely in low crime areas. Edmonton in general is quite safe, there’s really only a few pockets to avoid, but they’re not even that bad. Nothing like Vancouver’s downtown east side.
Totally, it’s not the worst. Personally I just love ocean and coast so it’s a bit of a bummer for me. But when I lived in Vancouver for 2 years I could not stand that rain.
Thank you very much for so nice video! :-) we are planning to move to this great city and you just has confirmed that we have done the right choice about the city.
That’s a great question! I’ve been meaning to make a video on that exact topic but haven’t been able to find the time. There’s been so many people moving here and the market has been really active. I think for housing affordability, it still makes a ton a sense. Edmonton for example is extremely affordable compared to Toronto. Calgary home prices have risen a lot, but is still affordable as a whole compared to Vancouver/Toronto. With how bad inflation has run up the cost of living for Canadians, many people are moving into this province. Although inflation is finally starting to trend down, depending on your job/income Alberta can give you a lot more disposable income because of how affordable housing is here.
This seems to be a very interesting place, I hope I can visit sometime in the future. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much! And please keep up the great job! Subscribed!!
I’ve never lived in St. Paul so I can’t speak specifically to what quality of life is like living there. It does have K-12 as well as a post secondary College option though. It’s a smaller town so if you’re into that, I’d say do some more digging into it, or better yet, visit it in person to get a better feel. 🙂
How is the construction/trades industry there? I am Irish and looking into my options for moving to Canada, aspiring to do a carpentry apprenticeship there and get qualified. Thank you
Loved the video , good job. As for the weather I don't see the cold as too big a problem but being unpredictable is more of an issue, lol. I've worked in Ft. Mac and I understand what you mean. Thinking of moving to Alberta from north of Toronto. Just doing my research. Again Thanks.
Hey Keron! I’m stoked for you and good luck on your journey! Unfortunately my speciality is in real estate and not immigration/job placement. I would start online and research as there is a ton of info. The government of Alberta and Canada’s websites will be packed with info.
Hey! I can’t tell you how much I appreciate this video. Great sense of humour too. :) I’m looking to relocate to Alberta from Vancouver mostly due to needing access to more affordability and better medical care. Appreciate your pros and cons.
Thanks Britt! Really do appreciate hearing your kind words. 🙂 I lived in Vancouver for a couple years after high school and while there are parts of Vancouver I miss, Alberta is just such a better place to build a life.
Interesting perspective MIKE and well presented. Calgary appears a good choice when I retire. One property was presented - a top floor condo in an older development with 1100 sq. ft. and a large workshop in the basement. I like both aspects and hear there are other such developments in the city. That place wasn't right for me and I am seeking listings such as in the future.
Appreciate hearing that! Calgary is awesome, and as an Edmontonian I have no problem admitting that. It’s a really nice city, and I’m jealous of how close it is to the mountains. If you need any help, feel free to shoot me an email!
Had thoughts about moving to Edmonton from KWC. Saw a couple of videos stating that downtown Edmonton has become a little bit of a mess recently. How true is that?
Totally get that feeling when the picture or video doesn't cut it. Came to Finland in 2021, and her lakes are just ❤️❤️❤️❤️ love your videos 🙏 I wanted to move to the Yukon, but I couldn't find any place where dogs are allowed 🤦 so going to my favorite province, Alberta. Always loved Edmonton, but Red Deer looks great too (based on the videos that Kyle makes: Living in Alberta). You two are my favorite! Awesome content. I am leaning toward St. Albert (remote work, so no commute 😅), so looking forward to contacting you as soon as I have finalized WHERE 😀 And the colder, the better 🤣
St. Albert is a pretty special place. 🙂 The draw for me to Red Deer is how close it is to Sylvan Lake. But my family and I day trip to Sylvan Lake all the time and the drive isn’t that bad.
I wish they were closer too and that is one of the huge advantages Calgary has over Edmonton. It’s less than a 45 minute drive to Kananaskis from Calgary.
Glad to hear you enjoyed it! If you’re already in Winnipeg then you know all about the cold. If it’s cold anyways, you might as well be in Edmonton, or Calgary because they are better places to live vs. Winnipeg in my opinion. 🙂
Rain is pretty minimal here. Nothing like the Vancouver area. Snow really depends on the year. We had a but more last Winter but not as much as we used to get.

There is so many great spots in Alberta! I hardly scratched the surface in this video. 🙂
Why don’t you have a million subscribers? Bro what a nice video!
Appreciate that, but I’m not a UA-camr just going after subs. 🙂
What’s about St. Paul living style. School , college and other amenities specially housing
I’ve never lived in St. Paul so I can’t speak specifically to what quality of life is like living there. It does have K-12 as well as a post secondary College option though. It’s a smaller town so if you’re into that, I’d say do some more digging into it, or better yet, visit it in person to get a better feel. 🙂
Wow great video! thanks for all the info
Really appreciate that feedback, glad you enjoyed it! 🙂
Thank you for showing us around!🤍💛🤍
Glad to hear you enjoyed it! Was a lot of fun making this video. 🙂
I love what I am seeing I would definite love to live there
How is the construction/trades industry there?
I am Irish and looking into my options for moving to Canada, aspiring to do a carpentry apprenticeship there and get qualified. Thank you
@@maxshhh screaming for trades right now, there is a big shortage and it’s only going to get worse as more and more retire.
Informative blog ... Thanks
Appreciate that! 🙂
im mind boggled with the snow in may and june
Haha yeah it can be a bit of a roller coaster with the weather here.
Great video ❤thanks😊
Glad to hear you enjoyed it! 🙂

Thank you! Really appreciate hearing that, this video was a lot of fun to make. 🙂
great video! so well made! thank you!
Appreciate that!
Loved the video , good job. As for the weather I don't see the cold as too big a problem but being unpredictable is more of an issue, lol. I've worked in Ft. Mac and I understand what you mean. Thinking of moving to Alberta from north of Toronto. Just doing my research. Again Thanks.
It can get bitterly cold in Fort Mac! 🥶
I am from trinidad and I'm looking to move to Canada Alberta maybe next year 2023. Amy advice? On how to get jobs etc.
Hey Keron! I’m stoked for you and good luck on your journey! Unfortunately my speciality is in real estate and not immigration/job placement. I would start online and research as there is a ton of info. The government of Alberta and Canada’s websites will be packed with info.
How about architecture and design industry? Im moving next year to Canada and im thinking about going to Alberta 🤔
It’s not a major industry here but there definitely is opportunity here for it.
Great video Mike…
Appreciate that!
Excellent video!
Really appreciate that! 🙂
thank you so much for all the info, super useful
Appreciate hearing that, thanks for the feedback!
Hey! I can’t tell you how much I appreciate this video. Great sense of humour too. :) I’m looking to relocate to Alberta from Vancouver mostly due to needing access to more affordability and better medical care. Appreciate your pros and cons.
So what have you decided r u moving from Vancouver to Alberta??.i m in the same boat too 😉
Thanks Britt!
Is Halifax better than calgary in terms of weather, job opportunity and cost of living?
Had thoughts about moving to Edmonton from KWC. Saw a couple of videos stating that downtown Edmonton has become a little bit of a mess recently.
How true is that?
It was a bit derelict through Covid and nobody being downtown. It’s not horrible, but not fully cleaned up either.
Fantastic. Currently trapped in south Africa. Looking to escape and live in Canada by 2030. Now I can confidently cross out Alberta 😐
Lol, this Winter isn’t for everyone. Happy to hear the video gave you an honest look at things to avoid being disappointed here. 🙂
Totally get that feeling when the picture or video doesn't cut it. Came to Finland in 2021, and her lakes are just ❤️❤️❤️❤️ love your videos 🙏
I wanted to move to the Yukon, but I couldn't find any place where dogs are allowed 🤦 so going to my favorite province, Alberta.
Nice video. You make me wanna move to Alberta
Alberta isn’t perfect, it is pretty nice though. Happy to hear you enjoyed the video. 🙂
i love how 3.5 hours away there’s a beautiful park, but i’m so used to BC mountains it’s weird to think of them being so far away
I wish they were closer too and that is one of the huge advantages Calgary has over Edmonton. It’s less than a 45 minute drive to Kananaskis from Calgary.
Can you make the same video about BC? I’m thinking of moving to Vancouver Island
Hi. Nice video , really enjoyed it. I will be moving to canada in May 2024 , which is next month. Any tips for me ?
Bring warm clothes. 😂
Thank you so much for your wonderful video. I am from Winnipeg and thinking what if I move to Edmonton.
Glad to hear you enjoyed it! If you’re already in Winnipeg then you know all about the cold. If it’s cold anyways, you might as well be in Edmonton, or Calgary because they are better places to live vs. Winnipeg in my opinion. 🙂
How is the rain there? Is there more snow than rain overall?
Rain is pretty minimal here. Nothing like the Vancouver area. Snow really depends on the year. We had a but more last Winter but not as much as we used to get.
One of the best videos I've seen in some time
Really appreciate hearing that! 👊
Thanks for the explanation! We are leaving Vancouver soon because life here is too expensive, even for someone with a high paying job!
We’d love to have you here in Alberta! 🙂
@@AllThingsRealEstate Thank you! 😊
