Can we just talk about what an MVP Michael is? Through everything, he has been loving, supporting, understanding, patient, caring, kind, thoughtful…just damn. An absolute win, all around.
Very rare troupe of husbands in movies lol
He’s so dreamy😂😂
It was he who also convinced his wife to file charges against that pervert doctor even though it catastrophically led to a vengeful woman targeting them.
@@BillyButcher90 He did the right thing convincing her to seek justice…even if it ended poorly. That doctor could’ve preyed on other women. T__T There’s a doctor here in Queens, NY that would regularly put the women in his care to sleep so he could do horrible things to them. Many of them didn’t know what he had done until the videotapes he made came out. Now if only they had moved as swiftly as they did in the movie to remove him after the first complaint.
@@MayTheOddsBeInYourFavor Agreed they did the right thing. Most viewers are sympathizing too much with Peyton and blaming Claire, even though she was assaulted.
I felt so bad for Solomon and it was very wholesome how much he still cared for the family after he got traumatised and false accused
Bollywood movie Khalnaika ( Anu Agrawal, Jitendra , Jaya Prada ) copied from this movie 😂
@@abhishekagrawal9765well that's true but how does that add anything to the conversation?
Me too. People always accuse the black person without evidence after all. Always judging them by the color of their skin. And also Ms. Mott framed him for child molestation to get rid of him after he saw her breastfeeding the baby. That’s what villains do after all, get rid of the witnesses
What about Mrs. Mott? Sure she was a psychotic vendetta obsessed bitch, but in her defence, Claire was responsible for ruining her life.
@@cockerspanielfan56boo hoo
the audacity to take revenge when her husband is the one who's in the wrong >:(
Yeah. She probably thought those were false accusations but still. She’s a psycho.
Who knows if even before she was a victim of his
Mr n Mrs. Mott made fr each couple 😂
i think it was all because she wanted his mansion
She blames the wife for what happened to her husband later
Micheal is such an understanding husband
Yes he is ❤ Michael is probably the sweetest, most loyal movie husband ever.
You mean a man that lets women walk all over him? Yeah

Poor Solomon I feel so bad for him he was so sweet
When all the sudden your steady life starts going wrong with everything and everyone close to you around the same time a"stranger" has entered it..
If my community offered people with needs to help with projects and so on, I'd have them over every week. I'd love helping someone while their help my family. But I've never heard of anything like this being offered. It would really help the people with the special needs get to experience life and make new friends and family. But not all people are nice and people would take advantage so I can see why it wouldn't work, which is sad. Some humans can be so awful and ruin everything for us who really want to help.
God sees your heart. Just look for everyday opportunities.
I don't think Peyton is a Psychopath for several reasons:
1.She was broken hearted over losing her own child. A true psychopath would not care about losing a child. They only care about themselves. She clearly felt sadness over the loss of her child. Psychopaths do not feel sadness. Ever.
2. Left unable to ever have children again, she also had all her assets frozen, lost her husband and her own home in one fell swoop
3.Out of desperation, she seeks revenge on Claire because she can't let go of the past and refuses to believe her husband was in the wrong. She resents how Claire has a child, when she was left without one, has a home, a family, and a husband. She feels all of what was taken from her.
4.She seems to suffer from delusions and psychosis (also not typical of a psychopath) believing that Claires child actually is her own and she is taking "her baby" back from Claire as if it was stolen from her. This is a delusional way of thinking.
In all honesty, I can see her being a sociopath combined with BPD and possibly bi polar disorder . She does exhibit cunning behavior and manipulation. However, she still exhibits fear and anxiety and also has sadness. She claims she lost her mother when she was a child and had to take care of herself. It's probably she never got any love or attention of her own.
I love this movie
This movie was excellent. It was so good. I think you should stop watching this video and watch the actual movie
0:01 ievan polka? cool!
I remember this move hand that rocks the cradle it's a great classic movie one of my favorites
Hmm I see so his wife wanted vengeance for what led her husband to kill himself. I expected her to be mad at her husband for betraying her like that for molesting his female patients. I guess she was one of those wives that lets their husbands get away with whatever they want, no matter how betraying or bad it is. That is an unhappy marriage when you let your partner get away with that hoping they would change but won’t. She even tried to tear the nice family apart.
She lost her baby
@@tee3840 oh yeah I heard that part. But she blamed that nice family for everything when really she should’ve been mad at her husband for cheating on her by molesting the female patients. He just killed himself to avoid getting arrested. Pretty smart move for him that is.
@@tee3840 And? That's an excuse to take it out on an innocent family?
@elizabethescalante8114 No, but how can you judge a woman who's not in her right mental state after all of the trauma she has faced? She wasn't right, but who are you to judge a person who has lost it all instantaneously?
As much as I do feel bad that she lost her baby, the fact that she hates Clair for reporting the police on her husband for sexually abusing Clair and many other women shows that Payton is as horrible as her husband, she refused to accept what a horrible man her husband was and decided to take revenge on an innocent family that did nothing wrong.

😂I was thinking the same
That was pretty normal at the time unfortunately 😂
Smoking in a restaurant, the good Ole days.
It was common back then. Kids could play outside without parents watching over them 24/7. But later things started changing with serial killers, kidnapping. Now nowhere is safe unfortunately
@@Souchi-ito are you seriously that dumb? murderers and kidnappers existed since the dawn of time. its not a new thing. its just that people become more aware of this.
15:29 This was before the world wide web existed. You couldn't use the internet to search for information like that back then. It looks like she is browsing old newspapers archived in a format called microfiche.
I remember looking at newspapers on microfiche. I thought it was so neat. 🤦🏾♀️😂
i know microfiche was the best i always felt like i was in some old detective movie
I was wondering the same.
Watching this recap, and being reminded about microfiche being a thing has reinforced to me that im old asf.

Husband gets accused of SA by multiple women and instead of standing up against this accusation, game ends himself.
Widow: Nope, it wasn't him, it's one of the lady's fault.
They could've played him up as a victim of false accusations of SA just to make him and his widow sympathetic. But I'm glad they didn't go this route.
Grief can drive people to do horrible things. Especially to the people they blame for the grief.
Right? I could understand it if the accusations were false. But Dr. Mott was actually assualting his patients. The only explanation is that Mrs. Mott was in immense denial of her husband's crimes and thought she was doing the right thing by taking down who she saw as a terrible person who ruined her life.
@@4plus20isHappy her grief was unjustified
@@zah936 The grief itself was very justified. Her actions in response were not. It’s normal for loved ones of people who committed suicide to blame the ones who they feel drove their loved ones to suicide.
I think she was a bit of a psycho even before her misfortune. She lied so smoothly at the beginning and also wrestled and verbally assaulted that kid to make Emma trust her. Even with her emotional desires, I don't think she would be good mother material.
All of that happened afterwards
@@MeadeSkeltonMusic She just didn't turn into a psycho lunatic out of the blue because of a traumatic event.

@@MeadeSkeltonMusic She still was an expert manipulator and knew what she was doing was wrong. She probably had some kind of a shady background before it happened, otherwise she wouldn't be such a good and remorseless liar. I think she was irredeemable enough for a tragic villain.
Solomon was such a loyal and true friend, a part of the family. ❤
Ok, but the people around Claire were all so understanding. Even after all of Claire's outbursts (albeit, because of the nanny), they all wanted to help her.
My best friend’s dad saw this movie in theaters. According to him, when Michael said, “There’s only one woman for me,” the audience cheered.
Moral in my opinion:
Losing a child is not fun, not even a bit.
However, just because you suffer once doesn't mean it's okay to be a psychopath the rest of your life, unless it's medical.
If it's medical, GET HELP.
we all want a man like michael
Why do people always insist on confronting dangerous people by themselves, like, come on!
To all best friends in these movies-when you find out the nanny’s a psychopath-don’t go telling them what you know!
I was a kid when this came out and I loved and still do!
Same
I was just saying how we were such different kids back then.. we used to watch all manner of movies. And my sister used to watch the stories (soap operas)😂
I get that she was upset but you don’t even have any sympathy for the women that your husband assaulted 🙄
Either she was willing to look the other way, or she was so mad over her misfortune that she didn't care since she couldn't confront her husband now.
It's beyond what her husband did u dufus it was more about her kid
Grief can drive people to do horrible things, especially to the people they blame for their grief.
OA how could this Family be responsible for her Husband’s death when he’s the one who killed himself and was responsible for the sexual assault on Claire and the other Female victims? And why was he sexually assaulting them when he was already married to Peyton????? 🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨

House wife but still needs a nanny
She's a serious asthmatic 🧐
You would be surprised at a house wife’s work and how the walls can close in.
@@miguelmagallon7863 keep living and you will find out that people are different. What affects you may not affect others. What is easy for you may not be easy for others. Nevertheless it is still work that is valuable.
I have 2 babies under 2, and a house to run ,meals to prep, clothes to wash, appointments to go and I have no family close enough to help. I love being home with my babies. But it is such hard work sometimes. 24/7 looking out for them. Hey, if we could afford I'd love a nanny for a few hours a week so I could go be me. Or just do housework with headphones in and no one asking for me lol.
I enjoyed this movie as a kid. I can’t really say why back then but it was one of my mom favorites. As an adult I enjoy it even more. “ The hand that rocks the cradle”
Same here!
Anyone else remember when this film came out and the trailer/TV commercial showed the Nanny falling out of the window.... basically giving away the ending!
Yes. So stupid. So 90's.
Amazing recap as always❤
Not doing a basic background check is wild to me. I get that this movie is before all the crazy bs that happens now a days, but it’s still crazy they pick a random woman based on her appearance alone. If you gonna sue someone? U better eat n breathe everything about them. Especially if someone backs away from said lawsuit that caused the accused to delete themselves.
It was the 90s baby 😂
Unfortunately it was like this back then. My mom left me with a woman she met in one day, who was breast feeding me behind my mom's back
Ive never been so happy to see an in film character die. What a B
I don't understand why in these movies the people who found out about the intention of the bad guys confront them by themself instead of waiting to tell other people like my paranoid self would never😂
I like your videos, also I wanted to say if you could do “Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2” when it comes out, I would appreciate if you read this.
And this ladies and gentlemen is how the lifetime movies were born lol
Peyton wasn't an evil before. The real evil in this story was her husband, Dr. Mott
Yes he was evil and a coward but Peyton is evil too
The real evil was the tattle tale Claire
@@Ronkyort0doxDislike. What was she supposed to do? He molested her. Apparently we live in a world where everything is permitted and forgiven if you have power, respected job and an XY chromosome. You are the living proof since you are siding with the doctor and not with the victim.

Nick Lassard, Commandant Eric Lassard’s nephew.
Just shows where revenge gets you because it wasn’t Claire’s fault mr Mott took his life and it shows mrs Mott would’ve backed up her husband

The "Ma" of the early 1990's.
This movie lowkey traumatized me as a kid lol. But all in all this has always been one of my favorjte films now as an adult. They don't make movies like this anymore
Just Leave Him Alone Mrs 😱😱
They hired a babysitter because she wants to pursue her gardening hobby?
If your kids are gonna be a distant second to your hobby, maybe don't have any?
Well it's not like gardeners can spend time with their kids.
One of my favorite movies 🎉
I love this movie !! Watched this soo many times
15:28 Internet? Back in 1992?
my aunt let me watch this movie when i was young bc she said it's her favorite, and I felt so bad for Payton, I know that her husband is bad but she didn't do anything wrong, she just wanna have a baby and a good life. And I feel really bad and shocked at the same time about how they treated Solomon, he's so innocent in the movie.
Why do you feel bad for Peyton? Yes her husband’s monstrous actions cost her her dream life which was awful but as we see later she proves she was just as much of a monster. They were a perfect match apparently. She never saw her husband as the cause of her misery. She blamed his victim! That says alot about her sense of morality. Not to mention the ease of which she manipulated and murdered people. She was a calculating psycho from the start. They aren’t born overnight.
These revenge movies always end up like this. Although It's good that Claire's husband didn't give in to the seduction of Peyton. Normally, in these sort of movies, one cheating scene would be common
I saw this in the theater! Oh my goodness it was so good. Pretty sure we were screaming a couple of times.😂
Emma was 2 cute ❤
I'm just here to Observe
Because its my name......
The title is misnamed. Her revenge was for losing her baby in a miscarriage. So she was going to take the baby of the woman who ruined her life
The Dr getting accused like that (putting aside whether or not he's guilty) is EXACTLY why Doctors in real life must always get clear consent and have a witness in the room whenever doing those kinds of examinations. Coz people are crazy and will try to claim assault or want $
Huh... I recall watching this as a kid, but I must have never seen the very beginning. Well, it makes more sense now. All this time I just thought the nanny was one of those women who lost their baby and decided to take another woman's, but without the anonymous kidnapping part. Wow.
So Claire didn't carry an inhaler in her purse/pocket? As an asthmatic myself, I find that hard to believe especially because her asthma was particularly bad. Also, how did Peyton know those were ALL the inhalers in the house? Basing all her plans on contingency alone.. she is not the brightest tool in the shed. She was able to manipulate, scheme and lie.. but her downfall was her extremely low IQ 😂😂😂
