I just got back from seeing Dr Ting in Mission Viejo... he wants $21k just for MARPE and braces... that doesn't include $10k from MMA... he only mentioned 3mm expansion only... So, I went to Dr Yoon and she will only charge $10k, not including $10k for MMA... much better
The man is super handsome
1:59 Love the diagram!! Wish it was taught in med school 🥲
Is it possible, after diagnosis and understanding the case of a given patient, to create a digital 3D model of the face with the intended final effect after treatment, taking into account all the necessary treatment methods for a given patient?
What to do for recessed maxilla?
@JawHacks I went to the dentist yesterday, and they talked about my wisdom teeth removal. I told them I would hold off for now. I am 20. My top two are fine. For my bottom teeth, the are both exposed and I can see about 70% of the crown. In the x-rays they are both at around a 45 degree angle. They don’t hurt, and I haven’t had any problems with them. I know you might not have enough info to make a good judgement, but do you think there is hope I could keep them with the right care and procedures? I don’t know that much on this stuff, but is there a chance some appliance can give me room for them to emerge properly? I have x ray pictures, although I’m not sure how to share them with you.
Consider IMDO if in Australia, and SFOT if anywhere else
^ these two seem like the only ones to (in theory) actually give you room to keep them. Whether they are good or not depends.
after full recovery, does mse forever compromise the structural integrity of the face/head? i practice mixed martial arts and i am unsure if i could every safely return to the sport after the surgery.

Ah yes native americans with proper dentofacial development would have benefitted from myofunctional therapy. Yea right. Myofunctional therapy, and probably a lot of ENT interventions would be unnecessary if pediatric dentists actually knew what they were doing.
