do the most of research you can do because its so long to unlock all traits. I didint wasted any of the researchable item and i am still strugling . And i need a craftable set for my main lol . champion 180 and its still not completed.

Spend some time going to each zone just to unlock wayshrines. Will come in handy when you start questing in those areas. Plus it is a quick way to get some XP.

Also, joining a guild to travel to guildmembers is something I *still* forget to do for new toons. I spend the time looking at where boats travel and do it the long way rather than taking the shortcut.

1:27 Do main quests and the primary zone story quests (skill points)
2:48 Unlock guild skill lines (can be done after leaving tutorial zone, lvl 2/3)
5:53 Do daily Dungeons/BattleGround's(BG's) for massive exp reward, (1st pvp quest gives 3 skill points)
8:39 Crafting(Research, Deconstruct everything you can, importance of crafting skyrocketed with set collections)
10:39 Unlock & Max out all 3 armor lines ASAP (1st 3 passives of the skill lines only require 1 piece of armor to be equipped and the flexibility of having the lines max'd out is nice)
Edit: As of March 2021 the patch that's coming out on the 8th for PC brings with it many armor passive and late game changes. Anyway, still level and unlock all 3 lines as they're still useful to have.

FOR NEW PLAYERS: NO and still no... You need gold more then anything at first so your main should aim to be lvl 50 ASAP for storage purpose. Do only random dungeons while doing quests(no caves, mines, delves). It will go 5x faster to go to lvl 50. Then you get alot of gold being lvl 50 THEN you should buy bank storage+inventory upg+mount inv. Alt should stick to Craglorn apple farm to fence more item/day and get herbs/mats at the same time (stable is close also). After 3 or 6 months you might want to sub ESO+ but take your time do all quests with your main no matter the level. Remember that gear is getting old faster then you can do all the content. I'm not planning to Eso+ untill next Xpac, or maybe not at all. It's a huge game. The biggest error is to do quest that takes 10 x more time then doing dungeons . 1)Enter the Guild mage ASAP or don't play at all. 2) It's the bag space the real problem.

It would've made doing some quests easier for me with multiple enemies, and I could've leveled up my companions' skills and rapport sooner.

Ty for your good video that tells newer players what they should be doing. As too manny new players get steared in the wrong direction by other youtubers telling them all they need to do to grind your toon from lvl 1 to 810 is live at the dolmans witch is incorrect. Yes its fast for us end gamers who already have 810cp to then quickly grind a alternent toon up to 50 then our true cp shows up. But all it does for bullet sponge noobs is 1 not give them the want in doing quests nor does it help them survive when there trying to solo content when they haven't spent the time while questing to learn there character. Tho i do love soloing a world boss only to see a real noob try it 15 min after when it responds only to die 5 seconds later and same when a noob tries to solo a dolman/harrowstorms. They need to learn to stay far away from trying to do what's impossible for them to do at there low lvl.

  • @tomsite2901uk
    @tomsite2901uk 2 роки тому

This can't be more true with the quests. When i see people grinding levels they get quickly up to 50, but don't have any skill points to have any advantage from all this grinding. Then they run around like headless chicken, grinding Skyshards and still don't have enough skill points. Before they actually can really start to play they are already frustrated. This is probably also a reason why people say that ESO is so damn grindy. I just go and quest like mad, collect Skyshards where i can and which come naturally with the questing. I don't get frustrated by repeating the same dungeon or delve over and over and over. While doing that i also discover most of the wayshrines and POI, get most craft stations for sets and and and. It might appear slower but later on it makes the game much faster and enjoyable. What i can also recommend is to get a few addons for PC Players to make life easier. Especially some of the map addonons that show skyshards and books Join the mages guild as early as possible and collect every book you can find. Nothin more annoying than needing shooting star as your ultimate and then you can't because you didn't collect any books and need to start the grind again.
I also find that you can much better decide what other characters you may want to play in future. You can build up your main, but setup up additional characters. Do your daily quests and mount training on these alts as often as possibe. It takes about 10 to 15 minutes a day to logon to each character. But when you are ready to actually play these alts you have a fully trained mount and your crafting is already up to 50 and you did some major part of your research (if you are mad like me and want all crafting skills on all characters). I go on my main and craft a whole bunch of gear specific for research on my alts, place the gear in a storage chest or the bank, then research the gear on each alt. The addon TraitBuddy does help there as well. Another thing i can recommend is to research the Training trait on the main as quickly as possible. You can craft training gear for your alts. I usually craft them in sets for 10 levels Then i use the gear on my alts and swap every ten levels until level 50 CP160. After that i start to equip the alts with their final gear. The sticker book is a god send and probably the best change ZOS introduced.
If i then need more CP i can still grind XP. But mostly i can grind alone and don't need get carried. And quite frankly, all the major grind spots are overrun. You enter a spot and if you are out of luck you can wait forever until a boss respawns. It is almost like going to an amusement park and wait the entire day to get to one of the main rides. You went there and all you saw was an endless queue and you were only able to get on this one ride and missed all other attractions. Doesn't make much sense to me.
Another advantage i find is that you learn to survive on your own if you do the quests alone. It sharpens your senses to dodge roll out of AOEs. Later in trials and vet content it can make a difference for the entire group. I had several situation where i was able to stay alive long enough to rez enough people so it didn't end in a wipe.
Start to play and decide what you want to play. Get all the information you can get and start to follow the goal to build the best character you can. Don't get bogged down in "I can't get that gear". You will soon enough. Get as many skill points as possible and don't bother in the beginning with getting lots of XP to get to CP160. You will collect enough XP with questing and without the need to grind the same spot again and again. If i build a new toon, it takes me about 3-4 days to get to level 50 just by questing. Then i get the max CP i did so far. If you have a character that has CP160+ your new alt will have automatically CP160+ and you can start equipping the final gear straight away. And that is why in the end you can be faster in building characters than all the grinders.

Just dive in, the first ones are really short and easy, so you should be ok. Also don't hesitate to mention when it's your first time in a dungeon, and people usually will be comprehensive.
Dungeons get longer and harder as long as you're levelling, so I strongly suggest that you start doing them as soon as you can, your progression will be smoother this way. Don't wait until you're 50 to dive in, people will be way more forgiving with a level 15 who's discovering a dungeon than with a clueless lv50 player.

The fact that they make crafting viable instead of forcing you to be reliant on artefact drops is really nice to see. 10/10 game design I love to see it. Downside is I'm just starting up again on ESO, I'm level 13 and I was level 20 something on Xbox before I moved to pc so I'm not sure how committed I'll be to this game; I say this because the idea of dailies makes me tired.

Find a good guild, not every guild is going to work out. Research the hardest to get and most used traits first, the research time can kick you in the teeth if you don't plan out the trait order to research. Also unlock the ability to research 3 traits at a time and the time reduction as soon as possible. Get the undaunted skill line maxed out early, I didn't start running dungeons until long into champion points level 500.
