That river current was wild, it would have taken us away. Did not expect the stairs down in the meditation huts. You guys are doing the stuff we crave. Abandoned places that the Beatles were once at...COOL! Our favorite place in India too. Thanks for sharing. 😀👍

Don't know if you're still in Rishikesh but if you are and you're feeling a bit...thirsty in that dry ole town, head over Lakshmanjula into Tapovan and bear left on the lane above the main road to Rishikesh- there's a lot of hotels & restaurants named with variations on 'Swiss Cottage'. Pick any one of them and tip a wink to the Nepalese waiters using the international sign language for "pint?" and you'll be sorted in no time. They either wrap the tinny discreetly in a napkin or serve it in a teapot with a cup & saucer, which is quaint & a bit old-timey prohibition styles. I find it adds to the flavour when it's naughty too. Fun fact: they make bloody good cider in Himachal Pradesh. Mcleodganj & the villages above it have *really* good apples- got a whiff of the Old Rosie about it it has.

Immortality diminishes the value of life. It's because we are mortal, we cherish our lives.
It's good that the Beatles Ashram are left to the nature to take care. It's symbolic of life itself. Everything perishes in the end.
