Dużo by pisać, bo najpierw umierała kuchnia szlachecka w XVIII wieku poddając się wpływom francuskim, a kuchnia mieszczan wpływom niemieckim. Congratulations for your courage, I was curious if the dough was soft, because in Poland dumplings are cooked in water. I will tell you a story of how a friend was at a symposium in France. There was accommodation in the castle. The society was international and every day a group from a given country was to prepare a traditional meal for a given country. So the Poles decided to make dumplings, and to have more free time, they made stuffing in the evening and got to the ice-bed. The next day they wanted to make dumplings, open the fridge and an empty bowl with stuffing and consternation. They asked others what happened with the stuffing and there was a lot of it. They found that the group came hungry in the evening, they found something they ate the whole stuffing and said that they liked it. Of course, the Poles laughed and explained that it was only stuffing for dumplings and reassured them that it was everything was cooked, and their belly wouldn't hurt.

    Well made :) Pierogi's can be basically stuffed by almost everything :) minced meat, mushrooms (many different types), vegetables, fruits (blueberry, strawberries and many, many more). Use your imagination :) My mother always made pierogis with fried grated potatoes, onions and pepper ;) decorated by skwarki (greaves). I always get salivation when i see them xD
    But if you want to taste real Poland go to less touristy sides of country. Check Lublin, Białystok, Białowieża, Hajnówka with her narrow gauge railway and many other places. Big cities like Kraków, Gdańsk and other are just too crowded. Go to Hel (not hell ;D) where you can see Muzeum Obrony Helu, great clean bitches and the beggining of Poland (cypel) or like other say end of the Poland :P

      Hi Adam and Corrine, having been all over Poland I think everywhere you go have very interesting histories and stories to tell. I have relived a lot of them through your entertaining videos I also have films I took and got copied onto DVDs.
      My best friend Maurice and his Polish wife Joanna gave me so many insights into Poland, unfortunately the are no longer with us. I took my daughter Claire on holiday she was very impressed with how I knew how to get around Poland because I am better there than here. I just admire what they have had to suffer down the years. Where is your favourite place difficult because you have been to so many. Please take care of each other and stay safe.

    Kefir is THE best! We like it a lot too. We still need to try marmite. It's good to be ambitious these days. We're also trying recipes that we never had the time to try before. We've never done pierogi from scratch but we might follow your lead. The fillings look absolutely delicious. Well done guys!

    Hi Adam and Corrine, I have revisited some of your very interesting videos. I know things have affected everyone’s travel plans and I think everyone will be taking off to make more memories and meet new friends very soon hopefully .
    I think the way you produce entertaining and informative videos have cheered my time on lockdown.
    You have both got some fantastic memories of the places you have visited also your videos to look back on.
    I hope you have managed to keep working and making plans for your future travels. Please stay safe and healthy
    Very best wishes to you both Joe and my lovely cat Felix 👍👍🤗🤗😷😷

      Hey Joe and Felix :). Thank you so much for your kind comment. We are so heart warmed to think we have helped keep a smile on your face during these difficult times. We hope too that things continue to improve and the vaccination programs across the world see positive results - getting life back to some kind of normality. We cannot wait to get seeing the world again....and yes have been dreaming of some destinations! We have both been able to continue to work yes and for that we are extremely grateful. Please take too and stay safe. Best Wishes Adam and Corinne :) :)

    I watch your Channel long Time and im proud of you guys. Now you can make your own pierogi better and cheaper than buy frozen or in restaurant. You can make lot of variety of them and frozen as well.

    • @marcinprymek9685
      @marcinprymek9685 4 роки тому +1

      Ps. Pro tip : We usually make around 200-300 of pierogi diffrent variety of taste put to frozen and you have fast meal if you some Day dont have Time for cooking. You can live in frozen even 2 months and nothing happen. And if you want you grab few put to boiling salt water for aprox 8 minutes (till they start swim) and meal ready.

    This is a clear proof you guys must have been Polish in your past lives because that's exactly the way my grandma used to make her pierogies ! Speaking of polish pierogies: some ASDAs as well as big Tescos do have them. The brand name is " U Jędrusia" and they are pretty good :)

    GOOD JOB guys! Just two tips. First in Poland we are boiling pierogis before frying. Second always before add souer cabbage to the mushroms check how sauer and salty it is, rinse it if it's too souer, and whats more important always BOIL the cabbage befor frying it with mushrooms. If it possible try to use wild mushrooms. BUT anyways GOOOOOOD JOB! When next time in Poland try to check out Szczecin the capitol of Western Pomeranian part of Poland.

    Hi! I'm so glad to see You enjoy Polish cousine. Great attempt to do it at home. Next time try to boil them (simmer) in salted water instead of steaming. The fried ones also should be boiled before frying. And last but don't least the mushrooms should be, a forest mushrooms not the champignons ( you'll find them in every polish market), they will be dried so you need to soak them and simmer antil they get soft again. Smacznego! :)
