Channing Tatum talking about pretending to be Gambit as a kid and how he's wanted to make a Gambit movie for nearly 20 years really sells how perfect he is to play the character. REALLY hoping that the clip in the stinger means we can get a Gambit movie/series.
Right, I loved that. You just know that somehow, he managed to sneak out the costume and keep it. I also love the 4th wall joke “they call me the Gambit “ Deadpool: “are you sure, it’s not that you really wanted them to but it just never seemed to work out?”
This movie made me wish it should've had been Ryan Reynolds be the new Kevin Feige of the entire MCU. The Kevin Feige that I knew and loved died after Infinity War. Not ENDGAME! As a Thor and Hulk fan, it made me hated ENDGAME! Imagine Ryan taking over as the Feige of the MCU; keeping Snipes awhile longer and getting a Blade 4 movie ready for him. Bringing back Ioan Grufford, Jessica Alba, Chris Evans and Michael Chiklis for The Fantastic Four 3, Nick Cage back in a proper Ghost Rider movie sequel, Channing Tatum getting his own Gambit movie AGH A NERD A DREAM HUH😎
Wow, for a moment there I actually thought the whole fight against the Deadpools and Wolverine's mask itself were CGI, it's really nice to know that most of it was actually practical.
It probably got cgied after, to get the eye emotes, meaning they probably remove the real thing and put on the cgi one. Dont ask why, they did it with Spider-Man for decades
The CGI in this movie was pretty telling. For example when Deadpool is swinging on the lamp post its clearly a CGI Deadpool, but you can see when he lands they switch over to live action Deadpool. Same thing when they bust out of the back of the bus, Wolverine was all CGI and it was real obvious.

1:30 the fact that Shawn (director) just absolutely trusted Tatum to portray Gambit is amazing. They knew how much he wanted this and just let him take the wheel. That’s awesome.
Considering that he has loved the character from childhood, how could he *not* get it right?! He seemed to match what I remember from watching the animated series in the 90s.
I love this fuccin squad. I always was X-men over the avengers anyways but man this team with Wesley and Hugh takes the fuccin cake. Channing was the cherry on top
These actors have one thing in common. They played superhero in their childhood That all we need right there. Pick out the actors who had an imaginative childhood and were good.
Is not about. The actors only . Ryan was also involved in the writing. Take for example Henry Cavil. As passionate as he was about the Witcher, could not do much against a lame-ass production with a horrible script on season 2
One of the best MCU experiences after the Avengers Endgame. They finally did something that should have been done a long time ago. This is one of the best versions of cinema.
@fred6907 I think we have a very different way of enjoying movies. For you, showing off your 'bars' is everything as you seem to be a people pleaser. I'll continue to enjoy movies that gives me a good time rather than a having a fake bar and attitude towards cinema If you are so good, why don't you go ahead and make a movie that everyone enjoys rather than saying negative things on UA-cam. Ohh I just realised, you can only do that. Keep guessing your entire life.
It's neither my favorite MCU movie nor my favorite Deadpool movie - but you just have to applaud the love and dedication that went into this. A movie by fans for fans. And a real salute to all the FOX Marvel movies of the last two decades. You watch it and just keep thinking "These people were meant to be in this movie."
Ryan Hugh and Wesley in the same movie really took me back to the 2000’s this movie is amazing and seeing live action Wolverine in his yellow suit definitely was worth waiting for
I love that reference to the first avengers movie that deadpool said when he went "I'm marvel jesus you dull creature and i will"..... The dull creature comment is the same thing loki called hulk lol
A stroke at 56 that's just sad. All the movies he had left and memories with family and friends. He did some amazing work and I personally think gotg was the coolest set design. Rest in peace Ray.

Whenever I hear someone say how perfect the blue and yellow suit was for Wolverine, I have to laugh, because I also remember when they made "X-Men" and they said they had to do the black costumes because everybody would think the actors looked stupid in the spandex and the colors. Maybe we had to wait all this time for them to make the original colors into the more armored suits they wear today. Thanks, movie Batmen!
I love how genuinely happy everyone is. Electra, Blade, Gambit... All portrayed by the best people for their roles. Do give us a Gambit and Blade team up movie, PLEASE!!
If nothing else, the movie deserves an Oscar nod for production design. Every set feels unique and yet are very detailed. That would be one of the best things for Ray and a win would be even better.
Hugh Jackman's performance was outstanding, raw yet nuanced, powerful and vulnerable simultaneously. I would love to see him win the Oscar for best actor and what a capper for this Deadpool/Cinderella saga that would be. If it does happen I hope it's in this universe.
Finally watched this masterpiece. Truly a love letter roasting and thanking 20th Century Fox before being bought by Disney. Calling out the flaws in the MCU and redeeming it from downfall.
