Nothing drives home the quality like tightening rod bearings with a cheap electric drill and scuffing cam lugs with chrome alloy. 👍🙏💯🇬🇧
TigeroL42 Drill type, tighten to inch or foot lbs, didn’t see the scuff stuff, oh well.
I once handled a small pneumatic blue Bosch drill at work. Like 3Nm of torque. Thought it was nifty, maybe I'd buy one for myself. Looked at catalogue. 600 Eurobux.
11:35 Man, thats a silent motor, didn't expect that from a V12 :D
It's a w12. It's like 2 VR6 VW engines at 90 degrees. So like.. two 15 degree v6's in a 90 degree v configuration
A straight 6 is perfectly balanced, no need for anything more :)

How cool would it be to have a fully automated shop to build your engines. Talk about taking the work out of work
I work on an automotive assembly line, specifically engine dress.
600 engines a day +/- for the past ten years. I’ve put in over 1,000,000 bolts.

Don’t worry, they pay well.

It's amazing to think that all this sublety with so many pistons and so many gears is all to make something that's as smooth and powerful as an electric motor with a fraction of the number of parts and size. Fascinating, and an absolute masterpiece, but not relevent any more.
Probs drive that all day with fuel stops. Electric? Sleep overs to charge the shitboxes!
@@kerrybuckley1543 you need to sleep for a half an hour stop?
@Roger Froud. You’re right, it’s a marvel of engineering that will slowly be replaced by electric vehicles in a short future. Even with the enormous amount of parts and components eliminated, it’s very doubtful that the selling price of the car will be reduced.
@@691053 Until they invent a new type of battery then electric cars will not take over. Even Elon Musk admits there is no more capacity in Lithium output.
The beauty of engineering and design of this engine will never be supplanted by and electric motor.

its almost as complex as an aircraft engine...probably costs about the same to maintain and repair too.
The only time I am that clean is for weddings and funerals. Amazing
It's a luxury to ones eyes, just to watch the powertrain being assembled.
I would like one of these for my lawnmower. 😃
This engine is huge, don't know how it could be better than a V12, but if you have enough money for this car then you can afford to have it serviced. I bet that would be a really hard task to work on the engine while in the car.

A W12 engine? This is the first time I have seen this. It's like a V6 or a V8 engine, but this W12 Bentley engine has two rows of cylinders in one side, and another two rows of cylinders on the other side. I'm VERY impressed with this.
