I came home from an overtime shift at the mill and watched this beauty when it was going on live. Didn't move from the couch. Got dinner after. From Carter to Collins to Nessler to the noise from Happy Valley, man, that was such a great era of the game. No playoff bs. Just football, where every single game was like a playoff.
This game is one of my personal all-time favorites to watch simply because of how flawless the offense operated at such a basic level. It was so good, it was artistic in my eyes! Hope you all enjoy!
I was at this game, it was amazing. I sat 50 yard line in front of the press box for the first time. Our family’s season tickets were in NJ. I even remember the halftime show, “to go where no Blue Band has gone before, Pasadena.” Great upload.
Kerry Collins arm strength 💪 was amazing!!! He had a hitch in his throw, but was so accurate and threw such a hard ball, results were usually amazing 👏!!!!
The two downvotes must be MSU fans. Loved watching the o-line get to the second level and block backers. Also loved the fact that back then, the refs let the players play instead of "targetting", "late hit" etc etc.
Another great memory. My dad and I were the only 2 at this game, sold the other 2 family tickets since it was a rare after Thanksgiving game and I was finally 12 so we were headed straight to hunting camp in Potter Co after the game together for the first time. We debated leaving when it was 52-31 but dad wanted to see Wally lead the offense so we decided to "stay to the end of that drive". Pitched the ball to Carter and that was it, grabbed our seats and headed for the exits in the euphoria. Remember listening to the Penn St network with George and Fran on AM radio in the van on the way to Austin PA from then on and celebrating the "first" time I was there for an undefeated season with my dad. My parents had season tickets since 1978 so by 94 that was the 4th time it happened and that didn't include 82. Crazy to think now, that was the last undefeated season. At that point, 94 had been a drought.
I was at that game. Afterwards my friend and I were walking out and we saw “Press Room”, so in we went. We got to walk around and watch the players and JoePa get interviewed. We didn’t belong there at all and everyone seemed to know it but nobody said anything. 😅
@@arc-lite definitely. I was right up front a few feet away from Paterno doing his after game interview. I was wearing a winter hat with a big white and blue snowball on top. Someone tapped me on the shoulder and asked if I was with the press. I said “no” and they simply said “can you scooch down a bit”. Nobody asked us to leave. 😅
One of the greatest teams ever in college football.3 number 1 picks in top 10.no way Nebraska beats them if they would have played each other for championship.
Yea I remember when it was said that Penn State would not stop Heisman recipients Testaverde, Marcus Allen, Herschel Walker and yet they got stopped.....and lets face it Frazier and Phillips are no Allen, Walker or Testaverde....not even close, not even in the same universe.......... Joepa and the PSU staff almost always had the team ready to go on Bowl Day. Give the staff a month and they will and did shut down the other teams best players. With that true easily researched history as a guide it is easy to conclude that it was much more likely Frazier would have been shut down which would have meant a long day of Phillips getting ganged tackled. PSU would have put up 50 on the Huskers and Joe would not have let his foot off the pedal, not even for his good friend Tom....It would have been a real ass kicking.
George Perles was perhaps the biggest proponent of having PSU joining the B1G. Great friend to having the Nits join the league. Do you happen to have the PSU-MSU games from '93 & '95? Thanks for uploading!
Yes, I do. Both classics as well, but in the sense that those two games come down to the wire in which the 'good guys' pull it out! Haha. I'll pick one of them to upload for the next round of game highlights, and the other won't be far behind!
lol with that defense you are not stopping a option attack with Frazier or Phillips January 1st. Couldn’t even stop Illinois or Michigan state (lucky you had a elite offense) but your elite offense didn’t play any decent D’s all year. 49-31 Nebraska wins
@dannyhuskerjay Shit, our defense in 94 had a few All Americans, you are ridiculous and have no clue!!! Our defense was on the field all day in a good way, because the best and most balanced offense in the history of college football scored on average of under 2 minutes genius 👏!!!!!!! WE ARE 🏈 Unrivaled
Nebraska was in trouble against Miami, only Miami had a shitty quarterback and the defense got tired!!! Vegas had my Nittany Lions 🦁 as a 6 point favorite that year if we would have played!!!! Not even close or a photo finish or debate!!!! WE ARE 🏈 Unrivaled
I think Michigan State would have been better served if they used Scott Greene more than they did. PSU just couldn't seem to control him on defense. None the less, way to go PSU. From a PSU fan.

Will you be posting the 1994 Rutgers game? That will complete the 94 season. Really appreciate you doing this.
@@kerryshawley9647 Yes, in the near future I will be posting that one as well. And sure, it's my pleasure!

Look at the holes this amazing offensive line opened up!!! Fantastic

Ah, wow! Thanks for sharing your story for this game. That's awesome!

Haha, that's a very interesting story. No way that happens in this day in age though. What a difference in times!

8:36 half back option pass Archie to Engram 31:47 Collins to Scott
What a shame!!! We were the best team in the nation in 94, Joe got screwed once again!!!!

Scotty Greene was a beast. Good call
