Evan Spencer was the man that game… threw that DIME of a touchdown pass on the end around, threw the crucial block for 85 yards through the heart of the south, and the onside recovery. That was THE season.
Down 21-6 after two failed red zone trips which could have allowed an early lead like many other big games that ended in losses. They kept moving the ball and flipped the game so quickly. One of the greatest buckeye games ever
This brings me back to the days when SEC fans, whether Kentucky fans or Arkansas fans or South Carolina fans, let alone Alabama fans, would gloat and crow about how Ohio State had never beaten an SEC team in a bowl game. Damn, they shut up after this game.
And Alabama started back talking again after the 2020 national championship game. Bama boat raced OSU like the mediocre football program that they are.

It’s pretty messed up, but I think they play for them because of their teammates and the coaching staff, not the local fans stuck in the 1800’s. I could very well be wrong, but In all honesty that makes me kinda root for them in the sec. I have to imagine a lot of these guys play for each other, not their “fans”. Still messed up nonetheless
I never realized how bad Sims SUCKED!! You cannot have a half-ass quarterback, and beat a Team like THIS...Ohio State Team. I had no idea how good they actually were. Best Ohio State team I've seen, and I was born in 1965. Excellent defense, and when they're offense was clicking, they were good too. Bama was LUCKY to get THAT far...I liked their defensive end too. He was ALWAYS after the person with the ball...on them HARD. Course, I'm a Tennessee Vol fan, from Chattanooga, and would pull for Satan's team over Bama. Glad Sabans gone TOO.
I was watching this with michigan fans and when bama went up early they said they really thought they would beat them and i said its not over yet and after the game they left speachless
