you've got a way of making what you do look easy. just flying in that environment looks scary as hell but then all the complicated systems ... wow what a ride. absolutely thrilling. can still remember my one off circuit in the backward facing "cubby hole" of an Airtruk on a Dairy farm in Kaukapakapa North Auckland back in circa 1977. ps hated it , spewed ( all the fert dust of course ... ) like flying with you tho , from comfort of my forward facing lounge chair ! Legend mate.
Great video Jimbo like the relaxing, chilled commentary brought back a lot of memories from when mother and i run land Corp blocks on the Westcoast, old locky was flying around for air sow had some great fun with him, keep them film's coming 😊👍
Great video, thank you for posting, this environment demonstrates you need to be 100% on your game all of the time. Fly safe. All the best from the U.K.
I had no idea you pay so much attention to the thermals/ridge/wave lift when climbing , good stuff! Sounds like it's all good training for your glider flying career
Very interesting thanks Jimbo. Always wanted to fly and fly ag but colour blindness meant I could never get a commercial rating. Great to come along for the ride though. Cheers. Stan.
Fert for grass for stock 👍 depends on the product as to whether or not you'll notice striping. Both aircraft have strong points, and both suit NZ very well 💪
I wish I had done that when I was younger instead of driving trucks. I had my private license and I worked on my IFR rating. I should have just went ahead and got my commercial and went to crop duster School. Come to find out the government probably would have paid for it....
Thanks Jimbo.
Catching up on the more memorable moments.
Missed ya Jimbo.
Thanks great being in the cockpit again.
Blue up stay safe.

Man, you should do Netflix series or similar. I am watching half an hour video about fertilising some fields without skipping...
Awesome. I had no idea all those rocks needed fert

Haha, it sounds like we need to do a swapsies. Your version looks much more complex than throwing fert around 😆
Great explanation of how it all works!

Awesome video Jimbo, is this the Nevis Valley?
Cheers, Cadrona Valley 👍
great part of the world! Are there any Ag operators based around Wanaka?
Sure are!
Many Air Tractors running in NZ or mostly the PAC top dresser planes?
Be about even now 😎
The topdressing is for hay production? Do the farmers notice streaks if a pass is misplaced? Do you prefer the AT's or the PAC's?

Brilliant 😎😎👍

In Mississippi we use auger trucks that bucket has crushed to many planes and pilots dangerous
