Hope you all liked this video!! Sorry if it was a bit of a long one, but I figured 3 was a nice amount of circles to cover 😊 Also all songs plus background music can be found in the pastebin document, for those curious. What circles would you like to see me discuss next? Any genre preferences? (also once again, apologies for the glitchy audio at times, I really need to get myself a new mic RIP)
Thank you reviewing one of the best circles! And about other circles you can review, I'm into xi-on, Demetori and CROW'SCLAW lately, so mainly instrumental rock. Any of the 3 would be awesome!
Nice video. Also I think Violet Delta deserves a nod imo, tho they usually produce mostly synthwave songs. They do have some Italo Disco thrown in there as well (:
10:19 its perfectly fine if stack isn't a vocalist you like! Even though Stack is my absolute favourite vocalist as of now, I respect your opinion. Great video!!
As a person who likes stack, I still respect yuu’s opinion. I get her voice may be a little... “argh” or something... but I kinda like that. It’s unique.
the latest album from the best circle on the planet(akatsuki) is actually VENTEN from a few weeks ago also thanks for perfectly representing how i felt in the stack segment (stack is also the only reason i stopped hating music with vocals lol)

The only other group I follow actively being shinrabansho (which I hope will be in a future video). Also these videos were what bought me here originally I think so it's nice to watch another.
I don't know why I don't listen to more Japanese music. They have some really unique genres, and I think the Japanese language works really well for singing in general. Probably going to try at least one of these circles.

Forest306 has been a constant in my library in the 10 or so years they've operated. I genuinely miss them from the yearly comikets and retaisais. One of the first fingerstyle pieces I learnt on guitar was a forest306 song too. I'm a little surprised at how nostalgic it makes me feel thinking about those times. Stack is someone that grew on me. Touhou doujin music made me hate vocals in general (even for non touhou music) since they often take up too much "space" in the composition. But I dunno how stack did it but I can't get "doki doki waku waku", or "yeah bebenben" out of my head. If you're taking requests, then you should definitely cover miskyworks. They are amazing and unique amongst all of the circles out there. Their last album was released for free on their website too. The tale of the circle/their activity ending is very bittersweet, and a little heartbreaking.
I'm very happy to see the series continued! I was pretty hyped after A-One added their music to Spotify, and wondered if you are going to spotlight Sound Holic in the future :o Nice recomendations, I'm gonna to search more Akatsuki Records songs, thanks!

@@isthatrumia The ones I instantly fell in love with are her vocal ballads "Goodbye friend" "Do you remember me" that good stuff. Also the acoustic cover of azure raindrops, Eternal summer, and Necromantic.

Let say that one of the reason Akatsuki Record and stacks got a lot more popular lately is thanks to... that subreddit count live stream that Necromatic got played on loop cause people kept requesting it
Yay! Another Touhou video! Thanks for the video, Yuu, it was quite well explained and had that chill and funny vibe of yours. I found it quite enjoyable. I knew about Digital Wing and Akatsuki's but didn't know Forest306. Their music sounds interesting so I'll definitely give them a listen, thank you for giving me another doujin circle to follow. ^^ Also, I really liked the audiovisuals of this video. The way you showed the entirety of the circles' albums, plus the shadowing/coloring to point the album series, the info about the circle (like the year of foundation, members, music genres they cover and current status of activities), the background images while having the simplistic music player hud as a kind of trial demo. All that, combined with your comments and jokes made it quite enjoyable. So, yeah, thanks for the video. ^^ Also, 1:39 lol I felt so related to this, that's me everytime I listen to Touhou music. I'm a potato-brain man when it comes to music knowledge and judging music quality, but that doesn't stop me from bopping to the new themes of TH18, specially the 2 stage. xD lol 9:56 Mayumi's kind of- Nanzi- Hail. Ooh yes, 3 circles at once is a great idea! Keep it up Yuu! Love the content! And now, since I scheduled today to be a writing day, I'mma listen to Forest306 while I try to finish one of the last chapters of my book!
Very lovely video! I especially appreciate the changes you've made since last time, the more than one circle thing especially. Covers a lot more material in a comparatively small amount of time. Nice work!
New Touhou Music Circle Showcase yay. I was just asking myself because I am having a bad time when I list my music : how did you (and the people who helped you) manage to find the genres of the different musics in the video? Is there a site that list them? Also, thank you very much for your videos which introduce me to Touhou circles, I greatly appreciate the work you do to share these musics and the artists who made them. Have a nice day
Basically just people all sharing their opinions on what genre they think song X is, and then just going with one that makes the most sense. So basically just a guess game at the end of the day haha. It's really nice having some more people help out with determining the genres though, cause I personally don't really get any further than "yep this is rock", or "yep this is electro". I just really wanted to include them so that people can also search for those genres on their own, separate of the circles featured. And also as a way to help people discover what sort of music they like 😊 And awww you're very welcome!!
Honestly one of my favorite animators? Really I just love when you make these videos please keep them up! Edit: the reason why I say animators with a ? is mostly cause I usually get confused on what content creator to call so I assume animator mostly cause lots of drawings, and it seems like that.
Awww thanks!! Personally I don't really view myself as an animator, as I don't really... animate? But I totally get where you're coming from!! I think something like.. illustrated storytime/weeb youtuber fits better haha

I would love to see you cover Tutti Sounds on one of these videos, I just love their music so much :) . I hope Fudge feel better, thanks for the great video!
13:46 Was that a blooper you kept on purpose? XD Anyways, this video really brings back a lot of memories. The first video in this series (Touhou Music intro video) is how I found you, back when your channel was pretty small. You have come a long way since then! Got to hand you another round of kudos for another well-made Touhou vid!
Three circles. Three makes a triangle. triangle is illuminati. Therefore, illuminati made music. Edit: holy fuck this comment sounds like OwO would write.

If u check out Shibayan records, id recommend listening to clockup flowers, its a bit long but 6:15 is just so good although i would recommend listening to the whole song for the build up
The best song of Akatsuki Records is 他愛ない物語, and it`s trully the best. Rest of their song are basically the same, exept some rare examples. I`d like you to review german touhou doujin next please.
Honestly can see why stack would bot be for you, her voice is like *very* unique conpared to most vocalists but honestly i think thats part of her charm and why people like her.
Yeh other people in the comments also said she's either a hit or miss for people. For me personally it's a miss. Though I do have to admit Hanipaganda is an absolute banger of a song. Big props to Stack for that vocal performance holy shit.
@@ReawakenedCH. imo its insane how stacks voice arrangement is in songs like hanipaganda its Super powerful and then there are songs like Sci-Fi Romance Traveler which are pretty calm and Melodic and what i personally think is that stack in songs reflects the characters with their voices very well tbh
YO AT 10:19 I SPAT OUT MY COFFEE! As a rock lover you don't gotta worry about getting attacked, at least by me. If you don't like rock that's fine. Anywho if you respond to this how was your day so far? Was it nice? Anything exciting came up?
Nah nah I do like rock, it's purely just that I don't like Stack's vocals. Tho despite all that I can't help but love Hanipaganda. Such a banger. Ah doing alright thanks!! 😊 Just mostly been chilling and working on bullet journal stuff today. Really happy to hear that people enjoy the video!!
@@Yuunarii that's great to hear ^^ Possible idea for a future video, could you perhaps talk about any obscure Japan games? On the switch or online? Ones that you've played or know about
@@Yuunarii oh no worries ^^, just a recommendation, i wish I could talk with someone as amazing as you like this every day. You seem pretty chill, you'd actually fit right in with my friend group if you're interested
I get what you mean with Stack, and I knew who you were talking about as well. I think they covered Lunar Dial ~ Lunar Clock, and I think Marisa's theme. Yea, it's definitely something to say the least, whatnot with how they pronounce certain Japanese sounds, but I like to try and get into the energy of the song and think of their voice as a little bit of an amplifier to the beat/instruments etc. Then usually I don't mind. In the case of Tomboyish Girl, yeeeaa maybe not. It's more their voice and less the music, so not the best song to listen to imo on a given day
Of all the things about Akatsuki Records I thought people wouldn't like, Stack's voice is a first. It's like... The only thing that makes this circle any good, lol
Her voice indeed is very unique, and I gotta give her props for some of her vocal performances. Hanipaganda is an absolute banger!! It's more that the airy + growliness tone just doesn't really work for me.
When i was first shown Akatsuki Records I absolutely despised them because I couldn't stand Stack's vocals. However, somehow I always found myself going to them and over time came to like her vocals. I joked that it was like i had Stockholm syndrome for a vocals and then a friend joked that I had Stackholm syndrome and it stuck.
I mean if there's enough people I don't mind covering a jazz circle like Swing Holic or something at some point!! And yeh yeh Fudge is luckily doing a lot better!! Right now he's just a little bit nauseous from his annual vaccin, from last friday.
Hmm... Stack voice didn't fit nicely with me too... From the excerpts you posted sometimes it goes way too high pitched for me. The song itself was fine but sometimes it sounded the of singing was a bit off note? I don't know how to properly explain this. Anyway, nice video Yuunarii, hope to see more in the future.
Ah I think the ones that sound off key might be the denpa genre samples. It's a feature if said genre. For me personally it's just the airiness combined with the growl that I just don't like.
I gotta agree, Stack usually hit/miss (more on the miss sadly) for me, but they certainly have some good beats! Also, thank ya for the shoutout for Forest306. I don't think I have heard of them yet, and I'm a sucker for bossa nova.
Hope you all liked this video!! Sorry if it was a bit of a long one, but I figured 3 was a nice amount of circles to cover 😊

Nah I'm not too big of a jazz fan. Though I suppose I could cover Swing Holic at some point if people really wanna see a jazz circle showcased!! 😊
lol I loved The Sonic Drawings video it WAS AMAZING xD
If u check out Shibayan records, id recommend listening to clockup flowers, its a bit long but 6:15 is just so good although i would recommend listening to the whole song for the build up

I'd love to see a Video about Shinra Bansho! They made some of the Music that got me to play Touhou
How lovely of you
Stack Vocals best Vocals
I would love to hear you talk about Sound Holic, it’s one of my favourite doujin circles.
Oh yeh sound holic is pretty good yeh!!
Personally really like their Eurobeat Holic collab series 😊
THANKS FOR THE TUNES BECAUSE I AM TOO LAZY TOO SONG HUNT MYSELF
nice to hear others opinion on these
Damm the music is really good
Hey, love your videos, keep up the good work. Hope your doing well
Aww thank you very much!! And I'm doing alright!!
Yes I love digital wings touhou project doujin music!🥰😍👍🏻
The best song of Akatsuki Records is 他愛ない物語, and it`s trully the best. Rest of their song are basically the same, exept some rare examples.
I`d like you to review german touhou doujin next please.
Hmm the only German one I'm personally familiar with is Frozen Starfall but I might have to take a closer look at a couple more
at least she didn't mention DOKIDOKI WAKUWAKU
blob Yuu is being held hostage by HD Yuu 10:50
Love it
Akatsuki Records
Honestly can see why stack would bot be for you, her voice is like *very* unique conpared to most vocalists but honestly i think thats part of her charm and why people like her.
Yeh other people in the comments also said she's either a hit or miss for people. For me personally it's a miss.
Though I do have to admit Hanipaganda is an absolute banger of a song. Big props to Stack for that vocal performance holy shit.
@@Yuunarii oh yeah, Stacks performance in Hanipaganda was actually insane.
It's okay Yuu, Stack isn't to my particular tastes either. That's a hill I'm willing to die on haha
@@Yuunarii that's great to hear ^^
Possible idea for a future video, could you perhaps talk about any obscure Japan games? On the switch or online? Ones that you've played or know about
@@fallenangelplays1725 Ah sorry, I'm not that big into video games. So probably not no 😅
@@Yuunarii oh no worries ^^, just a recommendation, i wish I could talk with someone as amazing as you like this every day. You seem pretty chill, you'd actually fit right in with my friend group if you're interested
Glad to be able to help you out! :D
It's more their voice and less the music, so not the best song to listen to imo on a given day
NIcoNico is just in another dimension.
10:48 I Don't really like stacks Voice too
10:51 oh boy, Here in Come.
Awwwww shiiiiiiiiii more touhou content
Of all the things about Akatsuki Records I thought people wouldn't like, Stack's voice is a first. It's like... The only thing that makes this circle any good, lol
Her voice indeed is very unique, and I gotta give her props for some of her vocal performances. Hanipaganda is an absolute banger!!
It's more that the airy + growliness tone just doesn't really work for me.
10:19 Did I heard something?
BURP
Oh I almost forgot to mention that I think that I also admire atasuki records to.😅🥰👍🏻
I had all notifications on but didn't get a notification.
UA-cam being UA-cam again ughh
I like Akatsuki records
Have you heard of yonder voice? Vocalist yaoshanbailing.
Ah I have yep!! Might have to look into them at some point
I'm personally more of a math rock and jazz guy, but this is nice as well! Also, I hope Fudge is daijoubu
I mean if there's enough people I don't mind covering a jazz circle like Swing Holic or something at some point!! And yeh yeh Fudge is luckily doing a lot better!! Right now he's just a little bit nauseous from his annual vaccin, from last friday.
@@Yuunarii Ohh that would be awesome! Good to hear Fudge is doing better now :)
10:19 wait wait wait... was that a gun??? More like shotgun???
Maybe..
Didn't expected that
Anyway goodnight
I gotta agree, Stack usually hit/miss (more on the miss sadly) for me, but they certainly have some good beats!
Also, thank ya for the shoutout for Forest306. I don't think I have heard of them yet, and I'm a sucker for bossa nova.
