If you have any more circles you'd like me to check out, feel free to name them below!! 😊😊 Also please consider sharing, liking, commenting!! I'd really appreciate it, especially seeing how UA-cam is a bit garbage at notifying my subscribers. Also woops, I think all these types videos from now on will be around 15 mins in length or so. Hope you don't mind too much!!
Would love you to check out FELT, since they would be releasing their last album later on. Their stuff focuses on pop and ambient, with great vocals from Maika, Vivienne, and Mika.
For active jazz groups, there are still plenty of groups available. The main active groups are Twitter Tohobu, Unity-Gain and ACCORD ON CODES. The latter one even did organised a jazz live concert last year (紅楼JAZZ 2020) with the two other groups. Then there is Twitter Tohobu, Baguettes Ensemble, Aqua Blend Server, 幼術使い, SNUG SPACE and to a lesser extent DDBY and xi-on. And who knows what groups might pop up later. As for SWING HOLIC themselves, they indeed disappeared from the radar. The main vocalist A~YA (why no A~YA songs :( ) still occasionally tweets but otherwise seems to do her own thing. I suspect that she might have moved away or otherwise wanted to focus on her family that she simply can't be actively working on SWING HOLIC any more. As for the members, I think Swing Holic Band consisted of at least panoman and atabo as well as a few other people that likely have done some solo arrangements as well. And Rolling Contact's Amane fun fact: He is likely the arranger with the most Touhou arranges ever.
I kinda want to hear your opinion on TaMaOnsen, TsuBaKi, O-Life Japan, or even Konpeki Studio~ (eh, that's quite a lot lol) Btw if some of you want more jazz Touhou, I totally recommend Tokyo Active Neets (not Kokyo Active Neets since this one is for orchestral).
oh yes, right when I was running out of music to listen to, thanks for the suggestions! (also, I really like the track switches, expecially the one at 10:00 )
I would like a take on Shibayan, since they're pretty unique with its retro feeling nu disco Other recommendations, would be: Floating cloud - folk Demetori - probably the best instrumental metal circle. Buta Otome -?slow something? Kishida Kyodan & akeboshi rockets - pop rock Also, can't remember if still active, but Golden City Factory also is a nice jazz circle
A semi-underrated Jazz(and also orchestral) circle I love is Tokyo Active Neets, and then not sure who exactly made it but the Cafe de Touhou CD has a ton of amazing songs too
@@jakebolls3420 “How many times do we need to teach you this lesson old man?!” UA-cam keeps striking the video so it’s been reuploaded several times now
I'd highly recommend Foreground Eclipse to anyone, touhou fan or not. My personal favorite song from them is (Calm Eyes Fixed On Me, Screaming), sadly they disbanded in 2013 though.
I highly recommend Foreground Eclipse, Shinigiwa Satellite and Kachi Kachi Yama. All 3 of these share the same female vocalist (Meramipop). FE and Shinigiwa disbanded but Kachi Kachi Yama are active. Also you can check out Undead Corporation. They used to make touhou melodeath and metalcore but not they make their original music. Takamachi Walk are also a newer and active circle. highly recommend.
:000 these circles sound really cool, I haven't really gotten around to checking out this type of music! I'll definitely be checking out rolling contact, sounds very experimental.
yes yes so happy Yuu has come through whit another Touhou video so happy love the selection. now to wait for more vids :3 (btw if some of you still want more jazz in your life: Tokyo active NEETs: do some Touhou jazz as well. not sure if they are not dead as well tho (( or some classical covers then Kokyo Active NEETs )) long as ps be like )
I'll just list some more jazz circles for anyone curious: - Accord on Codes - Swing Of the Dead (They produced one album and have since then been dead AFAIK) - TOHO JAZZ MESSENGERS (This time two albums then dead) - xi-on (彩音 ~xi-on~) is not mainly a jazz circle but they produced 6 jazz albums so far - Twitter Tohobu (ついったー東方部) - Tokyo Active NEETs
Hey Yuu! I know this comment is pretty recent (I'm in the middle of catching up on your videos at the moment), but I just wanted to admire all your hard work for keeping your content top-notch! Out of the three circles you showcased in this video, Casket resonates with me the most. I love listening to Celtic music and remember hearing two such Touhou remixes, one of which was Lunatic Princess and the other being U.N. Owen (I am not sure if either one of these were produced by Casket, but still amazing nonetheless). It's crazy that these are actual Touhou remixes. If I didn't know what the title of some of them were, I probably wouldn't have recognised them! I am considering downloading some of Casket's songs on iTunes!
hello yuunarii, im pretty new on your channel, but i love your content so much!!!, all the dedication you put on the videos edition its amazing!,niice jooob
Aww thank you very much!! Ah I'm familiar with the former 2, they've got some pretty good music!! Really enjoy Shibayans bossa nova collection. I'll be sure to keep them in mind for future showcase videos!!
remember that video you did on eurobeat like a year ago? you should also check out italo disco. its basically the parent genre of eurobeat . if you ever find they sound way different its cause eurobeat originally started ott it in an italo disco shell (f.e super eurobeat vol 1-7 but this style keeps going till around vol 40) with the help of some songs, it became its own unique style of music. Here are some songs i would absolutely recommend listening to first: Michael Fortunati - Give Me Up David Gray - Lets Dance Tonight Michael Fortunati - Into The Night Max Coveri - Bye Bye Baby Vanessa - Just A game Aleph/Dave Rodgers - Fly To Me Sophie - Broken Tale Some of these songs are also in Super Eurobeat, but came out before it.
You are spoiling us! xD Hmm, any suggestions for future showcases... Sekken'ya? Silver Forest? Yuuhei Satellite? Alstroemeria Records? A-ONE? (That last one is honestly just inviting you to gush about stuff you like for half an hour, isn't it?)
I would really love to see you cover ZYTOKINE and its former handle CYTOKINE. They're a really underrated EDM / rock circle that don't get discussed very often, and the vocals by aki, nachi, cool kiss, and ESPECIALLY itori are really top-notch. Some of their top-tier songs include GOLD, Dancing Dollz, and Poker Face.
Hatsunetsumikos is a circle i found recently thanks to danmaku kagura. And i ended up buying their "The Lotus" CD. Pretty great circle with great vocal arrangements
