I just got a Forester sport and was looking to see how well the XL would fit without any overhang and clearing the hatch. Thank you, this was perfect!

I have the motion XXL model & also don't like keys for everything. I picked the lock with a paper clip & and a bobby pin in about five minutes. Now one side stays in the unlocked position without the key staying in the lock. Easy peezy.
I have the same Forester in the same color and am shopping boxes while thinking of this exact model. Could a review be more specifically tailored to me? 🤣
What crossbars are you running on your forester?
@Adventures with REMAX, I like your set up and would like to know how closely I can match it with my Subaru Forester set up (5th Generation (2019), Aero Subaru Crossbar Set). Can I ask you: 1) Is your Forester 2019 or newer? 2) Do you have installed the basic Aero Subaru manufacturer crossbars? 3) Have you attempted to open your panoramic moonroof while the Thule Motion XT XL is installed on top of your rack, and if so, was there reasonable clearance between the wind spoiler that protrudes when the moonroof is opened and the bottom of the roof box? Thanks!
1) yes it's a 2019 sport! 2) yes Subaru stock crossbars purchased 3) there is about half to 1 inch clearance from wind guard to box. Loving the set up! So much more cargo space! Did you see my other videos on cabinet, Jackery, and frig in back? There are on my channel.

I've been eyeing Jackery portable power stations and would love to purchase a fridge. Subscribed and looking forward to more of your videos.
Great video. Do you think the XXL would’ve been too large for the Forester? I have an Ascent and Forester. I would like to be able to use it on both vehicles but I’m afraid the XXL would be too large for the Forester.
Thanks! What is the dimensions is it just longer? This XL fits really well doesn't look odd at all I don't think the XXL would either
@@AdventureswithREMAX the XL is External dimensions 215 x 91.5 x 43.5 cm for the XXL the External dimensions 232 x 95 x 45.5 cm. not sure you will be able to clear the rear hatch. on your Forester. Majority the video it is the size L External dimensions 195.5 x 91.5 x 43.5 cm I see.
Wife has a brand new yukon the standard size. I picked up a motion xt xxl and thought it was huge for her vehicle. It looked like a coffin on top of the roof. Took it back and getting the Xl instead

Didn't think anyone would have a review of a cargo carrier on a forester sport, much less the line of carriers I'm looking at for my '19 sport. Since you've had this on, notice any significant decrease in mpg?
Haven't really noticed much difference, but can't say I am watching either...

@@AdventureswithREMAX fits perfect! Pretty sure I bought the last available one on the east coast, at least in NC haha. It'll be great to lug around some overlanding gear. Only issue is that unlike you, I can't go into my garage with it on.

Why would'nt you just attach the box outside?
While I was using it, I left the box on for months at a time and wanted it in the garage!

I used to leave it on the car full time but because of the car wash situation I ended up taking it off. It sits in the garage more than anything in the still in great shape! No complaints

The first thing everyone says on review videos is that due to the finish it will scratch and get damaged by rocks easy etc. But can't seem to find a video of one all scratched up or with rock chips lol. Not saying it can't happen but it seems like maybe people worry a bit too much about something that may never happen...
@@EricGonzalez-bd1qd funny story.... I had the box sitting on top of my Polaris ranger not stressed down just for storage wife moved the Polaris box fell off got scratched up. Doesn't look bad at all you have to really be paying attention to notice it. Addicted handle that type of scratching it's good. It is a box for adventure, adventure sometimes gets a little messy!
@AdventureswithREMAX exactly! I'm not too worried about a little scratching but I also don't want it to fade completely and start cracking and paint chipping off making it look hideous either haha. Mainly because they are sooooo expensive! I ordered the XT L. Waiting for it to arrive. I will probably do some paint Protection film on the front to protect from rock chips or at LEAST ceramic coat it. Wish me luck haha
@@EricGonzalez-bd1qd keep in mind also the black is all the way through so even if you scratch it it's black scratches. It's not anything that can chip off like paint can on steel or aluminum
