@Arurandeisu
@NatsuiroMatsuri
This is not a clipping dedicated channel. I just want to be clear to anyone who might want to subscribe
reminder that Matsuri is the first one to suggest doing live concerts 🙏
Really???
Any sauce
That's a big if true, but she definitely paved the way for the 5th gen live with From1st which was her idea
ua-cam.com/video/_c0kJ3PzFZk/v-deo.html
i didnt know about this. all i know that for her 1m request she wanted a solo concert but finally decided she wanted a gen 1 concert.
When Matsuri gets serious and talks more behind the scenes stuff, I like seeing this side of her.
That thumbnail makes them look they're becoming younger
Matsuri may be a bit hasty and emotional, but she's got a excellent head on her shoulders.
Yeah, it sucks that it's a job now and she can't enjoy it as much, but she has a job she enjoys.
It has to be so huge to hold that giga brain
i love that aruran has been doing these talks, and i love that it really showcases just how smart and thoughtful matsuri is. i think a lot of people forget that she’s very intuitive and intelligent behind her persona. i totally understand what both of them are saying here
To borrow Yagoo's words during his interview with Kaichou, it is called "social responsibility". Because HoloPro is getting bigger in lightning speed, any single word can bring significant impact to the society. It can be positive, but also can become big controversy that involved several parties. That is why they give stricter rules to their talents.
One thing that everyone tend to be forget is that the fact Cover is small company in early day compared to Anycolor.
@Zbigboz Bboy even now as they don't have a bigger company backing them and more often than not, Hololive often clears the way for others. The exception being NijiEN and it's blow ups
Many organizations and people can learn a thing or two from Yagoo
i am glad i decided to stick around even though my life become much busier than before, the bond between HoloLive and HoloStar has become much closer now and i am very happy with them~ and my dream of all of them(boys and girls) singing in one concert has becoming closer by inch(because we already got a very small one)
What’s funny is that the restrictions/behaving more idol-like actually benefited their growth quite a lot lol
They’re ‘Idols’ but whenever they say or do something un-idol-like, the contrast is what makes it that much more entertaining to watch xD
I've said multiple times that I believe in showcases that idols are more than just these plastic above us type people that they seem to be
They are a hardcore gamer, A computer nerd, An introvert And so much more
I think cover knows that it just when they say some yabai stuff on stream they kinda risk sponsorship and stuff
I'm not sure the restrictions or idol stuff benefited their growth. The main cause of their growth was a combination of Covid, UA-cam algorithm recommandations and memes.
They still received some irrational criticism during that time and restrictions or idol stuff didn't helped much. I would even argue that the idol culture has been the cause of some of the worst incidents.
I don't think the idol stuff was why they grew. They're just really good entertainers, plus the timing of covid definitely was a big reason for their blow up.
@ironFreee nah branding theirselves idols brings much more opportunity than demerits and most of the bad things that happened in hololive is not because of idol culture. Rushia's termination is mostly her fault cover already made their stand about the boyfriend stuff(that their talents are free to have a relationship to whoever they want some are even already married) and she only need to be quiet about that but she broke NDA and neede to be fired(cover can also file criminal case to her but they didn't as a courtesy), the same thing happened to Towa and shes doing better now it also flushed out the worst fans from the fandom making her fandom healthier. Coco's case is a china case not an idol case and thats the same with Haato. Hitomi Chris is underaged. Mel's case is a stalker irl and from what I heard nothing to do with idol stuff. Mana Aloe is "TWITTERED" to retiring Japanese style. And the dissolution of china branch of hololive is connected to Coco in which Cover chose Coco than the chinese market. There are other minors in which it's mostly common problem of CELEBRITIES not IDOLS.
When i saw the production value of the Fes, it really felt like they've reached a point that doing anything more/extra/impressive is gonna start putting so much strain on them and the talents, that the fun might start to disappear. I hope they realise that and allow themselves and the talents enough room to have fun. Cuz that's much more important to me when watching.
Yeah considering that some bits were rough, whoever sets Fes songs up should consider the different physical levels
@@Fishman465 i mean it's the talent themselves that chooses what to do. plus its amazing how good they have become compared to their past fest.
@MG Drifts maybe singles, though I have a hard time believing that Matsuri. Aki, etc were keen on the grueling practice for their song
@@Fishman465 well that is why all hololive members have my Respect. Because i know what they're doing ain't easy.
I like that Aruran's old avatar is in the thumbnail as a suggestion of what might have gotten worse at the company 🤣
This is interesting because before I watched this I wasn't sure what they were going to say. I can think of things that are better and worse from a viewer's perspective, but they're both doing much better themselves so I wondered what they would have to say. But they gave pretty genuine and interesting answers. You can see what Matsuri said in how her content has sort of changed over time.
Matsuri is an idol, let's goooo!! Also gotta teach those managers lesson so they don't torture the boys and girls about dealines xD
I'm so glad that we can see Hololive and Holostars on same event. On same stage! Few years ago, this is probably very unlikely to happen
Kamichama: restrictions? What restrictions?
_Camera pans to the string of her former manager-sans quivering in terror, no longer able to form coherent human speech_
yagoo just asks them be idols for 2 days out of the year
I don't know if the clip still exists but Yagoo once replied in Matsuri's chat to say what his favorite porn mag was
I hope the new ID gen can give something amazing
wait, what "new" ID gen?
@@pututunik8748 they had auditions for ID Gen 4 recently, I think they mean them.
These two act like old drinking buddies.
To me I look at it like this when it comes to restrictions and rules. If done correctly they can breed Far better talents than no restrictions and total freedom. In my opinion one of the most important things to building a company that revolves around stuff like this is setting guidelines and setting fair and reasonable standards.
A talent when working under good restrictions and good rules finds ways to be better in a healthier way. They essentially have something to always keep them in check which to me is important
It's why I have so much appreciation for the way cover handles things. They take their time they make sure their talent is in the best possible position and they've shown that they can work with talent when they do want something. Guras daki is an example. She fought hard for that
Another example is the anniversary and birthday lives. Cover only giving them a budget and everything that goes over it they have to pay for teaches them to control themselves in my opinion. Of course some still rocket over the budget
Aki and apparently astel go way over budget xD And I'm assuming more do as well.
In the end I just like the Standards that cover is created and it allows the people working under them to succeed in ways I don't think that even imagined.
Astel has said that the budget Cover gave him only covered like, 1/4 of the entire budget for his 3D debut, lol. Man went extra to the max.
Fully agree with restrictions and rules. It is something you can see in other fields as well.
It is much better to give employees strict rules, and then choose when to cut them some slack on those rules, than to not be strict enough in the first place, and have to deal with problems when things go too far.
Finding the right balance in-between is the best choice. If you go without any restriction, a lot of drama could happen. But if you go too strict, it will limit the potential of what your talents can actually do, and killing their passion to grow and try many new things as well.
"freedom" just means your content is at the mercy of coomers and trends
Reminds me of the OG idolmaster anime between the cour 1 and cour 2 has different vibes because they are nobody and they become famous later.
Well, the JP boys lost Shinove-san, and he's been a pillar to them. Not sure how much manpower they could supply for Stars when shinove-san has been loved by them for going above and beyond what a high level manager should be.
When did Shinove quit?
@@WeirdSatay end of october last year.
Guy is loaded with money the moment Cover goes public corpo.
Employees get shares with enough years of working for the company, and with Cover, that share price would definitely be way more than 10X, hoping for a homerun 100x.
@@carlorielmendez6505 They are not public mate
Why has your reply to me disappear? Anyways, I apologise for the inaccuracy that they are not public. However, you are still committing possible deception as:
1) They were only listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange last month.
2) You are framing it in a way that could defame Shinove by claiming his character to be simply about money when you say he is loaded with money.
3) How can you claim to know what the employees specifically get?
@@comradeofthebalance3147 Ever worked for a startup before?
1.) Yup, listed just last month, but a lot of startups use the option pool (search for this) in a manner that every month after a certain period (generally a year of working to qualify) employees can ask to buy the stock at a heavily discounted price.
2.) If you have known the sacrifices of Shinove-san through the years he stayed in Cover, you'll know whether he's greedy or not, he deserved a lot of payback for all the extra work that is literally beyond what a manager should do and being family to the boys. I don't think greed is the main motivator for him to stick for the boys during the hardest periods.
3.) In my country and I believe majority of Western countries with stock exchanges, majority of startups add stock options (the option pool) to their employees to sweeten the salary package. It also saves them some money by not paying them money in the present but giving them rights to own shares instead as it costs nearly nothing and it increases loyalty to company. I see no reason for japanese companies not to.
ホロスタは朱雀くんとキラくん推しです(笑)
I guess I'm more similar to Aruran than I thought. As soon as Matsuri talked about restrictions I immediately thought "Well, before you land in hot water, let's agree not to go in the hot water."
The idol restrictions work well with all media in general. Playin it safe usually keeps you safe. But hey, they don't seem to limit their talents creativity, and that's all that matters.
@Despotic Waffle so far, I can only hope it stays
Things that got better IMO: 3D live streams. I absolutely love many of the 3D lives from the last and current year. It isn't that the old ones didn't have their charm, but in the end, singing and dancing is the most entertaining to me when it comes to Hololive, as someone who has been a fan of AKB48 and it's sister groups long before Hololive. Of course AKB48 has a lot of variety programs as well, and I actually loved those more than their concerts, but those two were a separated thing, unlike the early 3D lives for Hololive. Now, I've rewatched the newer of Akirose's, Nenechi's, Miko's, Luna's, Laplus's, Pekora's and Matsuri's 3D lives more times than I care to count.
Things that got worse: THE BLACK HOLE SHORTS! I've always hated censorship more than anything else, and those black hole shorts are the worst kind. I don't really care about not having a panty shot or two (though I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy them), but those black hole shorts completely break my immersion whenever I see them during 3D lives.
Also, I miss AsaCoco. That was and still is some of the most entertaining thing ever I've watched in the VTuber world. Kiryu Coco was truly one of a kind. I miss her.
As they say, 仕方ない, but that lack of restrictions are a big part of what drew me to Cover in the first place, and watching that freedom slowly eroding has been a pretty painful experience.
Isn't Cover a publicly traded company now? That may be one of the reasons for the added restrictions... and of course, sponsorship deals would be hard to get if they have a lot of controversies, whether it's their fault or not.
So, like what they said, it's for their own benefit.
No that's anycolor / njsj. Cover is still private i believe
@@rektl2036 the hololive stock share is just sell to private buyer that they approve. So it kinda limited, not public
That Anycolor bro. They even have chines investors. 😆
Well, alright. My bad, then. My comment was also deleted for some reason.
Update, it appear the stock is gone public. Anyone can buy it but it said the amount of stock for sale is only 25% of the total.
And it said, it also what anycolor do to their stock.
Based if Yagoo Note in Medium. Thry need go public as their company status as start up, which mean they need to sell the company or make it go public. So to retain the company they go public.
Please correct me if i got the info wrong
Man, i wish they spoke english so i could watch their livestreams. Because i really like the conversations that these 2 have. They seem pretty honest, was not expecting hearing from Aruran that he is being ghosted lol Kind of bad move by Cover, Holostars are part of you guys as well, comeon lol.
Sounds similar to Aki still waiting on a new date for her live; I doubt either will bring it to a higher level if not YAGOO'S attention. Also reminds me of Coco getting stonewalled in terms of her projects
I feel Hololive became big because they weren't a typical idol thing, that and largely music based talent get less notice than the ones with more stream stuff (Suisei got noticed due to suicopath first)
But this relates my fear that idol stuff and those in Cover that push it will kill the soul in Hololive.
Isn't Sora the one that want to become idol and paying cover for their 3D studio? Even Yagoo said Entertainment company now days.
@@zbigbozbboy5245 yes but even Sora isn't exactly a typical one
@@Fishman465 even AKB48 I'm early days isn't really idol like. one of member is even like eating insects or acting like gorillas (I think she become fitness model after graduated from AKB) 😅. It probably after so many generation that they started to to look like proper a traditional idol. I don't think your fear is unfounded though.
@Zbigboz Bboy yeah but when people think of that, a more uniform group comes to mind. The fact that the new swimsuits and idol uniforms are far more sameish doesn't help.
IMO idol groups have sameish uniforms to downplay individuality and hide the expendable nature of each member
@@Zannmaster-2you want to kill them to prepare for a big event then stream? of course they need long preps for a concert.
Holostars deffinitly improved a lot more, especially after Stars EN
The girls on the other hand.... people would hate me for this but they are such a mixed bag, especially JP Gen 3 they are the biggest mixed bag for me
Even Gen 4 is pretty mixed except Towa, kinda not a huge fan of Kanata anymore
The EN Girls im surprised Kronii and Mumei are the one starts making moves, Bae and Kiara i know they would do something but the other 2 is more surprising
And ID is still chaotic as allways, and im happy they still embraced it
The JP Holo members i even care nowadays is just Sora, Aki, Matsuri, Fubuki, Botan, Laplus(Surprisingly since she actually starts making move like entering Vsaikyo with Non Holo people that are pretty big), Towa, and Subaru
What makes you think they're a mixed bag? I'm really curious to know :o
@@karloalcazar9892 Maybe not appealing enough in their content i guess?
JP Gen 3 is the biggest offender to me due to the lack of variety other JP members had, even the freshness of the content starts getting stale
@@karloalcazar9892 And it is funny because
Technically Towa's FPS content shouldnt be appealing to me, but what made Towa's Stream never go stale is her interactions never getting limited by either her own decision(which a lot of other members do, some are acceptable like Aqua and Pekora but then theres Flare, Noel, and Kanata....) or management
Oh please in the end it's about idol culture and not collabing with guys. Why bother hiding behind the excuse of content not appealing enough and not just say it straight.
Fubuki is the perfect role model for Cover ambassador
she forms some kind of bond with Oga and Shien from Holostars, having doing stupidly fun things with Flare and Watame, appeared in 2 generations (1st and Gamers), and kinda respected by most of Holomens
that’s why she is the most Holomen that I follow up until now
matsuri has brought me to hololive, but looking at her state now, im disappointed at her
lol wut?
wut my guy cant just say your disapointed without telling us why lmfao
