I love watching Astel interact more, it gives the opportunity to many more funny combinations
His sudden Apex collab with Hinano and Nayuta was gold. I recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen it. Him and Nayuta instantly clicked and had Hinano straight up dying of laughter, even asking for help. And honestly, my sides were pretty much gone too even though that was the first time I watched any Nayuta or Hinano.
Unhinged Astel was on full display for like 5 hours straight. Not sure they even won a match. They were just on a continuous laugh trip.

Astel himself is cracked in Apex. I like his methodical play when he got the chance to box in the other teams. He's like one man army terrorizing all team with his mad Maggie.
Him joking around picking Fusey or Vantage really got me hoping to see him use Fuse. The amount of control and nuisance he can cause with Maggie would be amplified with Fuse imo

Vantage is kinda nice since Astel has already shown us during s2 his sniping skills in olympus but I'm really hoping to see him on crypto or gibby again

i still remember when VGorilla gives terror to Astel team in their first tourney.
Everytime VGorilla going around downing the opponent's team along the way, I can hear a "jungle beat".
One thing about Gorilla-san that really impresses me is his ability to quickly raise the level of other players. Look at Nunbora (Tsuna) for example. She and Reid were teamed up with the jungle beast for one tournament and both reached Master for the first time that season, in Nunboras case basically from zero. I think Towa trained with him early on as well.
I'm not saying that he somehow creates great players but rather that he is good at bringing out the talent in others in very short time by observing, supporting and giving instructions from the back.

@@venkaramon those aren't really valid criticisms, its just ignorance. Its not really unfair though, in terms of mechanical and raw skill aqua by far is the greater than 90% of the competition and for a first timer in a tournament, she's already called a beast and that's the point there.
As what Matsuri and Astel said if she gets used to the tournament setting, its gonna be hard to stop that monster.

Honestly the person players should fear the most is indeed Pakael. He has a habit of choking when the real tournament starts but theres a reason hes called the scrim guardian. If he can bring the scrim edge he has in the real stage he will be unstoppable. Pakael led a very inexperienced team to multiple champion rounds and the ease he did it was shocking. hes already started his apex grind earlier than any other participant. hes basically doing 200 kill apex streams PER DAY
interesting.
But his skill becoming sloopy nowadays because for past months he doest play Apex (also doesnt streaming), thats why recently he is doing 100Kill RTA everyday to regain his strength

@@doedoel035 It's a personal lobby of the participants to fight each other in a BR before the tournament begins. Some vtubers or players don't take scrims too much like gorilla and some play it seriously to get the atmosphere and confirm their tactics nonetheless it is still important to get on scrims since you get to experience fights with other participants before the real tournament begins. If i remember correctly vsaikyou scrims takes 5 days in a row before the tournament begins

But i hope he will using mas Maggie again, the reason why he want to use fuse/Vantage because when the Vsaikyou first announced the map it was Olympus (mas maggie is bad pick in this map), but now shibuhal decided to change map to world edge again so i think Maggie Will be good pick than then the other 2

ah,, now I know why I always ended up watching Bobon's VOD when I came across Aqua's apex clip... the solo Q mentality and their agressive play kinda similar...
I’m not really interested in the Apex streams but I have to admit that seeing Aqua do her solo marathon to become Diamant then her performance during the scrims of the last Vskayo where she was qualified as Mad Dog, it was really enjoyable af. I hope she will come back one day to terrorize everybody again.
And what I loved with these scrims, beyond supporting StartEnd (my 3 Japanese oshis in one team? What more could I ask for?), was that through them, I was able to discover many other vtubeurs and I loved to see their interactions between them. That’s how I met Astel, Matsuri and Roberu on the side of Hololive.
Those were the good times.

True, akutan use to play solo, so she depend on herself more than her teammate. You don’t usually get good teammate, so to win the game you have to be stronger than anyone. The loneliness of a strong person. (But if it an anime, at the end you will find out you can actually rely on your teammate more, so I hope just as Astel said she can rely on people at least someone she close with.

Now I do wonder in terms of raw power....is aqua above gorilla or tsuna ? It has been so long so I can't quite remember her prowess.
Aqua is more comfortable on solo randoms. So she's more attuned on close quarter firefights and clutches.
It's just as Astel says, if Aqua learns custom matches and teamwork, she'll be a force to be reckoned with. And considering she's the "Mad Dog" of StartEnd during her last APEX tournament, it's a possibility.
Tsuna is the total opposite of Aqua

in terms of 'physical' , i would say gorilla > aqua > tsuna
however the sheer amount of experience in a scrim-like setting that both gorilla and tsuna has makes them a more 'competent player' than aqua
there's a reason why tsuna was known as the 'best female apex player' among the jp/kr region

I understand Astels feeling that imposter syndrome with his 10 point peers. They all have easily knowable skills and talents like good calls or consistently high dmg. Astels talent is morale impacter, at least when it comes to his Maggie plays. Not that Astel isn't a good player, but when one your main talents get you flamed and is hard to know if it impacted the fight or not, it's easy to think that you aren't as good as your peers.

The reason Aqua can somehow work in team, maybe because she miraculously find a good team mates like Sui-chan and Towa. Because the skill she has mean nothing when facing other as a team.
Aqua is too powerful in the game that fate had to nerf her by giving her low communication skills
She is a mad dog. Towa and Sui chan also can't afford to hold this mad dog especially when Aqua came with Devotion

There are people that are good at strategy, support and overall teamplay and there are solo monsters. Everyone has their own speciality, so a 1v1 or a team v team of 10point players might be very one sided, depending on the enviroment. Team of 3 Aquas might be wiped out when they're trying to play together but spread them all over the map like Dragon Balls and they'll bring pain.
I think the fans are the biggest reason Aqua stopped playing Apex. She's a great player from a mechanical standpoint but severely lacks experience outside of playing ranked solo. The play style in tournaments is completely different and adjusting to that would take time even with an experienced coach on the team. There are many other players that objectively are better than her if all skill aspects are taken into account.
Somehow, many of her fans ignore all of this and act like she is God's gift to Apex. Think about her personality, her social anxiety, and then consider how she would feel about her fans constantly spamming other contestants or throwing a fit every time she doesn't win a fight? She was new to the scene and her followers instantly became a bother, not to her but to the community she was trying to enter. Yeah, I wouldn't want to play publicly under those conditions either.

Sometimes i feel bad but most of the time my teammates would say that my survival and support are absolutely essential and needed for them to achieve the wins and thats enough for me

Yeah me too im hoping one of the appointed leaders invited Kohaku and Dtto, both of them have reached Predator ranks before and their fighting skill is very high tier, i always see them 1v3ing and still win it, theyre also experts on apex movement techs/tricks most especially Kohaku, so most likely they will be a 9 or 10point players.

Aquas weakness isnt even teamwork its just plain inexperience. She played last year like she would a solo Q game and the way she would move forward will and was punished heavily. How many times was her team punished and killed while she was scouting ahead and laser focused on poking other teams? From the ones i saw it was more than 3x. Aqua has insane skill and aim but her playstyle isnt fit for custom matches. I hope one day she comes back again to play but god some of her fans were the most annoying out of everyone last year. every video they needed to talk about her and they kept crying cheating and unfair when they lost.
