I agree with the people saying "If something doesn't feel right, go with your gut, and leave." You stayed longer than I would have, and I'm an always armed Texan. I packed up the wife and kids in the middle of the night about 28 years ago, near Togwotee Pass in Wyoming. If we had stayed, probably nothing would have happened, but I just had an overwhelming urge to leave.

It has saved me a few times. I learned early on to follow my gut feeling, i once avoided a dangerous car crash because i trusted my instincts and stayed home. My friend crashed his car the same night he asked me to join a car trip. Flipped over the car at high speed and one of the three people in his car got major injuries. There have been more gut feeling moments but that one could've been fatal, especially when you see the side of the car that had the empty seat. It was crushed/caved in completely.

Tell me about it. I live in the woods here in Australia. A place I've been camping at for almost 2 years. But recently I've had some trouble with a psycho. Not sure if it's young teens or somebody older but the bastard has been stalking me with a drone for around 18 months and only recently 11 September this year my tent was wrecked and they tried to drag the tent away and throw it into a creek. The local police are useless bastards too. They don't give a damn and won't do a thing about my tent being damaged but if I was to defend myself I'd be facing charges and possibly jail. I can't even phone police anymore because I've been charged with threatening the police and ordered to not contact the police.

Your gut is always right. I'll tell you a story. I used to drive for Uber delivering food and was in an apartment complex one night making a delivery. Went up the stairs to the apt. to drop the food off and saw this guy brush past me looking super pissed. We didn't make eye contact, but I looked at his eyes before looking away and something felt off. Thought it was a bit strange. I delivered the order and went back down the stairs to my car. Now, normally between orders and while waiting for a new one I would just wait in the car so as not to waste gas driving around. I was on my phone just diddling around when I saw the guy again walking rather slowly on the sidewalk. It didn't look abnormal per se, but something wasn't right and I had that gut feeling which told me to leave immediately. Under normal circumstances, I would never do so. I'm a Christian so I attribute it to the Holy Spirit giving me a nudge.
In any event, as soon as I start the car, and I mean the SPLIT SECOND that the engine turned over, he whips his head back at me like something you'd see in a sci-fi movie. Now I'm getting a little antsy. So I pull out and I'm just casually driving away (and I have no choice but to drive right past him) when he crosses from the sidewalk into the street right in front of my car while walking super slow and blocking me. At this point, it's getting really awkward, so I roll down my window about to say something like "Are you alright, dude?" but I think better of it and say nothing.
So imagine he's in the middle of the road in front of me, but there's like this loopy roundabout/turn around thing that goes basically to the left, circles around a patch of grass, and then comes out at the main strip that exits the complex. So instead of going past him awkwardly, I take that, and right as I'm about to make the left to leave, the dude starts running full speed at my car from the right. And when I tell you full speed, imagine the T1000 from Terminator 2 when he's chasing them through the parking garage and outside LMAO. Literally, I'm not exaggerating. It's like he was on PCP or something. He honestly looked and behaved superhuman which to this day still sends chills down my spine.
In any event, my whole body went into fight or flight and I slammed my foot on the gas as hard as I could while booking it out of there at 45 mph while he was STILL CHASING MY CAR!! And I drove stick at the time xD The craziest thing about it is that he caught up to me for maybe a second or 2 before I outran him. Got one last look at him slowing down before frantically getting the f out of there. Definitely the most bizarre experience of my life and something I will never forget. And you can bet your ass I carry now lol.

I took my little brother camping in the “off season” winter in California many years ago. I backpack, fish, trail run, and rock climb in the western US so I spend a lot of time outdoors. We were just hoping to hike during the day, cookout, and camp. There was no attendant to the campground and it was empty other than one other person at an RV. We camped on the far side of the grounds from that man who was sitting in a chair facing our direction. He didn’t seem too friendly and didn’t wave back to us. That night, items started going missing from our camp. Silently. Non food or scented items so less likely to be an animal doing this. The last straw was I walked my little brother to the stall toilet and when I turned around, the toilet paper roll I set outside the door for him was taken while I was rummaging in my car parked 10 yards or so away. My brother asked for the toilet tissue and I discovered it missing. It was a still and dry night. Not windy. Somebody was messing with us. We immediately packed and left. We suspected that other fella wanted the campground to himself. People are so strange. To sound like a typical American, I am armed in certain forests or certain areas of a forest. Lots of other Americans are. In California we struggle with illegal drug growers even after legalization of marijuana so there are unfortunately some unsavory characters who don’t want others around. Glad you’re safe.

Thirty years back, I camped with my son in a wood near to Rayleigh, Essex, UK. Got the tent up in a small thicket. After it got dark, around 9 pm, we heard voices shouting from various directions, then began hearing shotguns firing. This racket slowly got closer to our location. Seems like we had camped in the middle of some kind of bird shooting operation. The bangs got pretty close, and were all around us. We quickly got that tent packed away and scooted out of there pretty quickly.

@@NoviceWildCamper I am in the UK, too. You say you don't believe in them, but we do have our version of Sasquatch etc., over here. Many people over here have had encounters with them and shared their experiences via you tube channels Perhaps best you research and listen to them. Perhaps 20 years ago, long before I was aware of any of this, in daylight I was on a walk 'up North' through woodland with my now ex. We randomly came across, for want of a better description, a tee-pee kind of construction. It eerily surprised us, and we kind of explained away what it was. A couple of years ago I subsequently stumbled upon people's descriptions and clear photographic evidence of what our Sasquatch build. It was the same as I had seen. The thrown rocks you found near you plus the branches landing with such accuracy, plus the crashing sounds: all typical Sasquatch behaviour, letting you know they were there, and didn't want you in their 'home.' Same as the ex park ranger shared with you above - and he should know: many have had encounters with creatures that supposedly do not exist, but actually do. We just occasionally visit their home environment so will always be 'rookies,' and mostly oblivious to what lives in our woods and forests, that doesn't want to be found or seen. On another walk around about the same time, I felt a peculiar not great feeling wash over me, like approaching a 'force field,' as we got closer. I said it seemed we were not welcome, so we changed route. A suggestion for you: when out driving and walking in the woodland etc., out loud say you are only visiting and respectfully ask for their permission to enter, and for their protection whilst you are there. That you respectfully mean them no harm whatsoever and ask for safe passage whilst you are there. When you say that, 'wait' to then feel their response. Then you will know what to do.

I agree. He seems very levelheaded & took a logical approach to the circumstances that occurred.
In Australia, people seem overly concerned with snakes & spiders. In my opinion people are the most dangerous. In order to make videos creators need to light themselves or we wouldn't see anything,. Therein lies the problem.
When I go camping by myself, I know that light, sound & movement are big giveaways. No fires (only gas/spirit cookers) Torches are used sparingly (if at all) & are "shrouded" if used. Velcro, zips & "crackly" polyethylene/nylon tarps are slowly & quietly deployed. All my gear is subdued in colour. Adhering to these principles have resulted in me never being harassed (by authorities or weirdos alike) . My philosophy is: "They can't find you to hassle you if they don't know you're there"

Blimey…. This reminds me of a time myself and my friend were wild camping in a forest… same thing you have witnessed as far as large rocks and branches being thrown…. It was so scary, every time we thought it had settled… smack, there was another rock…. It was so unsettling…. Neither of us could see anything causing it… we packed up and left asap…. By this time it was getting light…. A man walked past us on the lane adjacent to the woods and said ‘Morning’ … it was him, I know it was him! He was so interested in creating conversation so we could explain or fears and we didn’t… he kept dropping hints…. He seemed happy with his nights work. He was out of place, filthy fingernails and cuts from brambles, but a new wax jacket, expensive boots and a mark on his head where some sort of camera or light must have been attached, yet he said he had only been out since first light… it was so bloody scary …. I've camped out in all sorts of locations ever since I was a kid, and in all those years have only had one encounter similar to yours. It was in Cornwall, with a couple of mates, when I was about 18 or 19. We had been hiking along the remains of a disused railway line, and had set up camp in a clearing opposite what appeared to be a badly ruined halt. It really was in the middle of nowhere, and we hadn't seen a soul for a good couple of hours - not a tourist spot, for sure. Once we'd settled down for the night we started to hear the usual night sounds; like you say, nocturnal animals going about their business. Then, after a while, we began to hear what sounded like footsteps in the undergrowth. All three of us stopped talking, and focused on the sounds, which seemed to get close, then stop - but when they started again seemed to be further away, and coming from a different direction. We decided that we'd had enough, and jumping out of the tent, would confront the prankster. However, before we could do so, the footsteps started coming from the railway platform, with the unmistakable sound of someone pacing up and down on concrete. I don't mind telling you we were shitting ourselves. This seemed to last forever, until the sound of a door slamming shut, and then total silence. We sat huddled together, too scared to even turn on the torch. Once it got light we packed up and got the hell out. However, (and this I still cannot explain after all these years) is that there were no doors on the halt. It was a totally derelict shell. And yet all three of us distinctly heard the sound of a door being slammed. Weird, just utterly baffling.

I found a really nice spot just outside of Stroud last year, so I hunkered down with my hammock and started setting up for dinner.........I had a small twig stove cooking a steak as I sat there with a beer, just minding my own business, when a group of locals started flashing torches, chucking branches through the woods and making weird screeching sounds........it unnerved me so much that I ended up tearing the hammock down and bugged out into a field, slowly creeping around the woods and making my way back to the car. It took me about 2 hours to get back in the pitch black, and I had to flatten the seats to lie down.......ended up shivering in my sleeping bag until the sun came up!
So sad that there are so many weirdos out there.......we should be allowed to enjoy mother nature without the threat of being attacked in the middle of the night, huh?!

We as youths expected to be visited by a land owner or concerned member of the public but nobody appeared. We later went down a long path to a local shop/post office and after telling them where we were camping they asked if we had seen "Old Jake". Yes pretty disconcerting so I'm not calling you out weird $hip definitely does happen.

At 3:15am we awoke to the sound of a roar and deep growling around our camp also very heavy foot steps slowly circling around the thick tree line, stopping every now and again, this went on for 5 mins and slowly it moved away. 20 mins later we heard the scream of some animal and again another roar and silence. I waited until 7am to venture out for a p@ss to stumble on the intact head of a small deer with just its spine still attached at the entrance we made. I'm now 60 years old, and I'm a woman. Back in my 20s and 30s I use to solo camp. I live in Idaho, and so owning a handgun was never an issue. I had two dogs I would take with me. They were not my guard dogs, but my watch dogs.
I was the one in charge of my protection and the revolver my dad gave to me when I turned 18 and moved out of the house, was what made me feel safe in the forest.
I don't believe in ghosts, aliens, or bigfoot...and I was far more concerned about the two legged predator than I was of any 4 legged one. There are bears, cougars, wolves, and coyotes in my area. And too, deer, elk, and moose moving around can make for scary noises. As said, I wasn't really afraid of the critters. It was other humans, specifically, men who might try to take advantage of a young woman camping alone.
I never had any thing weird happen, except for one time, when I had a whole mountain lake to myself - and I was sitting outside my tent just before dusk. Both of my dogs suddenly stood and looked in the direction of the lake that was downhill from where I was camping.
They didn't growl, but their hackles were up. I heard...one 'crash' as though something big went through some deadfall and that was it. The dogs within 45 seconds were relaxed again, so I think what they heard, or smelled might have been a large elk headed down to the lake, or maybe even a bear or cougar. The dogs were fine the rest of the night and I never heard anymore bumps in the night. But I won't lie...lol. The handgun was very close to my sleeping bag that night...closer than where I usually put it...still within reach, but again, not like I had it that night.

As I mentioned, I'm a woman...and I think most women really understand at a deep level what you were feeling and many of us are really good at recognizing it and Acting upon it. I honestly believe this is an ingrained biological safety thing that comes with being a woman.
I think men have a milder version of it, but often do not react to it, when they feel it, or it might not be strong enough to even get their attention.
So when they do react, it must be something pretty dangerous that woke up some primitive part of one's subconsciousness that understands something isn't right.
You were right to leave. I wouldn't be surprised if dangerous men/or a man were nearby. Hope you keep listening to that inner gut feeling.
I also know that most places outside of the USA won't allow guns. But maybe you can check the regulations to see if pepper spray, or some other non lethal device can be used.
And if nothing else, sleep with a hand axe, or a large knife near you....tools one would use for camping, but can also be used to protect one's self if it came down to it.
      Stay safe : )

These beings are real. I’ve had two encounters up close. One when I was 7 yrs old camping with my family in the Black hills of South Dakota and then later in life while cutting balsam for Xmas wreaths in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Just so you know I’m not a crazy person. I’m a U.S. Navy veteran with a professional career. Not that that makes a difference lol. I camp in the Ottawa National Forest for up to three months cutting this balsam alone usually. I camp and cut until the snow gets too deep. I’m camping in the first hard freeze in October in a tent. until I cannot move around on foot to cut this balsam. These were up close physical encounters. Throughout my life I’ve experienced unusual things. These beings mainly reside in the 4th dimension and you will experience them when out in nature. They are not silent creatures at all and they dare to come really close, and when they walk trough the forest, they break and snap branches. And they are also able to do those "thud" sounds you described.

I started camping out at my grandparents home just about every weekend. My Granddad would let me use his camping gear to play house outside as far back as I could remember. Then my cousins and I were all between ages 5-8 and would camp out back in the early 70’s right outside my grandparents bedroom so I grew up loving camping out doors. It escalated in my teens and young adult years and into my early 30’s by going to the River to camp. If we went into groups we would bring a tire to light fires during the real colder weather. My granddad was a hunter so I never got to go camping with him. Alone I had one specific place that I loved going to which was the Pee Dee river right near the shoreline and it had a lot of brush surrounding the area except near the shoreline where I had a pretty good size of a clearing for my tent. Once I arrive there I would first setup tin cans or jingle bells surrounding my campsite and I never went without my weapon right beside me in the tent. If I heard those tin cans or bells I would pop up like a jack-n-the box and it allowed me enough time to make sure I was awake and holding my protection before anyone got to me. I had more young lovers walking up to my campsite than anything else and of course they would be drinking. I had more times with zero disturbances than anything. The reason I loved this place was it did limit people driving up since it required a 4x4 to get there but the last 1/4 mile of the road was a steep uphill climb and the final stopping point was on a flat surface, so you would be at the highest point atop la fairly large hill with such a beautiful scenic area by day and night if you were fortunate enough to come on a full moon night. I would setup my campfires atop the hill and cook and eat there during hotter months. The drop off point overlooking the river I would say was 12 to 14 ft high. I caught many glimpses of the full moon there. In my teen years at the top of that hill it was covered in trees so the stopping point was much further back on the road and you had to walk the remainder. You could only fit maybe 3 medium size tents atop the large hill in different spots between trees. Then one weekend during my teen years I came with my best friend and it had been at least a month I had been camping but someone came and cut down every tree a top of that hill and even hauled the trees away and if I had to guess there were at least 35 to 40 trees that were cut down. It was so amazing though because you could see out across the river from all 3 sides of the hill. I camped on the hill after that day only when I had a friend with me otherwise I was off on the right side camping off the barricaded in safety. Kept my campsite cooler at night. My campsite was really camouflaged through some brush just off the right hand side of that same road with low hanging tree branches just before you would come to a small clearing. I would park my jeep behind some brush up to my knees and between 2 trees on the right hand side of the road. I lived within 10 miles of that river. You wouldn’t know I was there camping until you would run into the tin cans hid inside brush and they would be more scared than myself because 9/10 they had their girlfriends with them screaming. There were a couple times the teenager boys would start showing me a little more attention than their girl because they couldn’t believe they came across a 30ish year old woman camping alone with weapons. I wasn’t married and loved every minute of it until a girlfriend would start arguing wanting to leave. Most of these teenagers would walk down this road or drive up with a dirt bike or 4 wheelers. Over the years there have been a few women who have passed away from committing suicide by jumping off however one ruling changed when it turned out to be the spouse who had pushed her off. A military plane of some kind fell into the river nearly 20 years ago and several life’s were lost on that day! They say there is catfish the size of an average man in this river. Hoped you enjoyed my story!!

He said absolutely not because it’s not part of your normal routine prior to my pregnancy. My body would’ve been prepared for the ride through muscle memory. The percentage of me getting hurt on my own horse would’ve been very slim chance. I hope that makes sense!

Then another small branch will be moved and you will see this thing move, then stand still for the rest of the video. So your gut feeling was right and this creature ( bigfoot maybe? ) that was watching you then was what was causing you trouble last night. Same story as you, I could pin point the foot sounds and crashing wood, but never anyone there. Last weekend I camped where I KNOW there is a big cat, and heard it calling for a mate, I have footage of it on my night cam, it was about three foot tall and six foot long looks like a lynx or bob cat, but she is very timid and never poses any threat to me, seen her three times now, but invisible wood souls scare the crap out of me.....I relate to this video very much, great watch....Take it easy buddy...bex

I drove right up past Skye in Scotland to this wooded area in August 2022, i passed about 3 or 4 little cottages and a big house then nothing else for about another 10-15 miles at least, just hills and great scenery. I walked for about 30 minutes into this wooded area and found a nice little spot and got my gear all set up, tent and cooking equipment etc. It was total silence not a bird chirping, not a stick falling just completely quiet which made me a bit uneasy as i've camped my whole life pretty much and there's always been some sort of noises. I made myself some food just before the darkness came down and after the drive i was quite tired so i got into my tent to hunker down for the night, as i was laying there trying to nod off i kept saying to myself how strange it was that it was so quiet and i actually found it difficult to fall asleep as i'm so used to background noise while camping. I eventually fell asleep at around 10:30pm, then i woke up just after 1am with this unbelievable feeling of fear which i had never felt before, the sort of feeling you have when you wake up during the worst nightmares. I had to get out my tent and just sort of gather myself and have a quick look around which i did but something just felt really weird, that quiet peaceful place that i had found earlier and set up camp in suddenly felt creepy and the quietness had completely gone, even though the breeze was less than it was when i had arrived i could hear what sounded like someone exhaling right next to me but was lasting about 20 seconds then stopping, this happened about 4 times then stopped. I stood there with my torch looking around but absolutely nothing to be seen apart from bushes and trees. I got back into my tent and lay there almost contemplating walking back through the woods to my car but in that darkness even with a torch i kept thinking i would get lost or fall somewhere so i eventually fell back asleep. I was sleeping not even 10 minutes and i woke up with someone whistling, not a bird or anything like that it was 100% a human whistle and was like the sort of whistle tune an old man would do but i had never heard the tune before, i literally jumped up and got out the tent and it stopped. I was about to shout hello or something along those lines when the creepiest giggling echoed towards me, like a little toddlers giggle you hear in horror films and i literally felt my whole body tingle like someone had poured freezing water over me, i grabbed my torch and switched it on but the light was really dim and flickering which didn't make sense as it had great batteries that i had just replaced and have always lasted me about 3 camping nights (spare batteries were in the car) I literally had no choice but to stay where i was so instead of getting back in my tent and laying down i sat sort of half way in the tent leaning on a pillow sort of against it. The next thing i know i'm waking up and it's light, my neck and back is aching from the way i've fallen asleep, i start sort of rubbing my eyes and stretching then i remember the crazy stuff from earlier and jump up and out the tent to have a quick look around before getting my stuff together and couldn't believe what i saw, a big circle marked right around my little camp as if someone had scrapped it with their feet and just outside the circle scraped into the dirt were the words 'you go now' I literally grabbed my bag and started jogging back towards where my car was and didn't even bother about the tent or my sleeping bag, all the way back to the car i just had the worst feeling that someone or something was following me but i just kept jogging/running and eventually got back to my car. I drove about 2 hours and only stopped when i came across a little shop and a few people taking pictures just to try and get some normality back. I have never camped again and don't think i ever will, certainly not on my own anyway. To this day i do not have a clue what happened that night or how it actually could have happened as i know i would have woken up with that being scraped into the ground around my tent? Even for weeks after it i would lie awake at nights replaying it over and over, it was literally in the middle of nowhere not a house within miles it just doesn't make sense. If somebody else was there they would surely be someone similar to myself maybe camping aswell and not somebody at the wynd up away out there and how did i not wake up when they wrote that on the ground or done the circle round the tent? Just creepy

You have to inner stand about cryptids. 100% they are in the UK..
Where you say there's not enough space in the UK, first you have to know about cryptids and their capabilities. They can appear as solid beings, clocked or invisible, but they can be right next to you.
That was definitely sasquatch that shook the trees and threw the rocks. They are telling you that they don't want you in that area..
I've study cryptids for 10+ years and have been around the paranormal and supernatural since I was 7! I've had experiences that most people just wouldn't believe, and that is because their mindset won't allow them to believe what exits alongside us, they don't need to be in the 3rd dimension, that's how they hide at will..

With animals and islands they shrink over time. Perhaps if we do have something like this. Perhaps it has adapted. England 12000 years ago was more or less coast to coast woodland. Hunter gatherers stayed on the outskirts and travelled rivers and streams also prior to 12000 bc sea level was much lower connecting UK to Europe and also we had the beringian land bridge between America and east Asia. If such a beast/being exited, there is no reason to suspect it wasn't everywhere to some degree.

It also sounds from your description like these projectiles were very much coming 'down' onto your camp. When you guys go back, I would be looking up with careful attention. I would be thinking about taking a careful survey of all the trees within a 50ft radius of where you were located. Looking for signs of a tree perch of some kind where he goes. One day when matey on the lane creeps through the forest in night-vision goggles, hoping to freak out some solo camper, he’s going to hear footsteps behind him, and sense eyes watching him, only this time he’ll know for sure that this isn’t just some weirdo in the woods, especially when his goggles fail, plunging him into total darkness, far, far, from home…... 😉

You said about the bin lorry we used to stop at oakford woods for lunch then go on to Broardoak
A few years ago we were picking up behind the truck when we saw a large tree stump as we thaught
Less than 20 yrds away from us then it stood up and came towards our truck a large grey cat

Hats off to you for sticking it out as long as you did, I'd have been from there as soon as the rock landed near me.
That bloke has definitely done the same to others, hopefully he'll do it to the wrong bloke one night and get his comeuppance.

What stuns me the most is that there are obviously people that hang out in the woods at night. Iv seen videos of wild campers deep in the woods going through the same thing. So who are these people deep in the woods? You would think the chances of someone at the same spot is really slim but it’s not like I say iv seen it in many videos. It has an element of nastiness about it as if it was teens they would be laughing their heads off.

God knows. I've done many camps in the woods without problems, some with some weird noises but nothing like this. Just didn't sit right with me. I rarely see anyone, have met a couple who've been for a walk or going to a camp as well but nothing else.

it amazes me how people go wild camping in woods then expect to have them all to thereselves 😅 if you go spend night there why is it suspicious if others do the same. some if these vids show the campers wandering around in the dark they don't think for one second they could of scared somebody else

It gets dark here in southern Mississippi at about 5:30ish now that the time changed here in the U.S.A. but I don't mind. I'll be glad when the burn ban goes off so I can burn all the wood in the back yard!! I truly loved your video. I was having a panic attack and you helped me by listening to what you were going through!!😮😱 You sure picked a spooky forest to camp in!!! Yea, you learn something through this kind of camping for sure!! Till next time, stay safe!!😊
