Lost my dear friend Billy in June of 2022..I sure miss him...I loved it when he and I got on his Harley and went wherever the wind took us..we listened to Bob Seger a lot..I would wrap my arms around him..lay my head on his back and enjoy the moment. I hope he is waiting for me in heaven because I sure do miss him 😭😭😭
That is so true. I've been all over America on a Harley Davidson. I have not seen my daughter's mother in over 25 years. And our daughter will be 31 in April. However I see her in my mind, my dreams, and in other women's looks, and actions. And I still look for her in cars that I pass on the road, restraints, stores, and everywhere else I go. I probably will never see her again in this lifetime. But she will ALWAYS be there in my heart.
This song reminds me of my mama and daddy, she waited in heaven for him for 15 years until he grew to tired to go on without her...he's with her now dancing to Shame on the Moon.
That is a beautiful post..my grandma has been without grandpa for 32..my age, died when I was 6 months old. She's been single, by choice lol...these 32 going on 33 years. 86 years old and still going strong...but misses him every single day
Unlike many rockers, Seger aged quite well. He is even sexier now and he grew into his voice. I always loved his music, it was the music of my youth, but now that I have a few years on me, I understand it even more!
This guy is a forever never ending vocal artist with a great gift that has been entertaining many generations of music lovers for years. I could listen to Bob Seger's music non stop day after day. A voice that you never forget or tire of and to this date can give me to get goose bumps when I hear so many of his hits.

Playing that cassette in the backyard on HIGH and my neighbors telling me I had great taste. It has been a musical love story since then.

I was born and raised in Toledo,Ohio..I am very proud to have been a buckeye although the most talent came from Michigan..it was just a few miles over the state line. Used to hear alot of stories about Bob Seger and Ted Nugent coming down to Toledo Sports Arena to do shows.. I consiser myself 'lucky' to have been to a seger show with my first real girlfriend..and took some pics of him walking to his dressing room backstage.Good Times!
This was One of his first release songs in his come back after having throat cancer! He is a Cancer Survivor... Praise the Lord for Sparing This Beautiful Soul.....Beautiful Song ... He never had throat cancer, that was just a rumor, he said in an interview. He took off 10+ years so not to miss out on his kids growing up and spending family time with them and his wife.

Did you know that Bob Seger wrote the words to Turn the Page in 1972 and he then turned to Alto Reed and told him to blow his horn and make the music for Turn the Page. Alto Reed was Bob’s best friend and Bob was devastated when Alto passed away in 2020. Such an incredible loss!

fmlpa, you are sooooo right. To right, it seems like nobody sees or knows that anymore. Bob Segers "Real Love" is so real. I Loved His Music, when i was a teenager and i still do. My cousin and i missed his concert here in Missouri and i really hope he is making a huge come back. More people need to listen the words as well as the music, he sings from the heart. I first saw Bob in person at the "Battle of the Bands" at the old Ford Rotunda, in the late 1960's. We were also there for "Live Bullet" and the "Pontiac Silver dome" Concert.

Few weeks ago I was watching this video. Had a few beers . Enjoying myself. The next day I went to the local Harley dealership and bought a Wide Glide . Bob. Seger will do that to a guy . Keeps ya young .
Can't believe how fast the years have gone by. I've been around for his whole career and watched as we've aged together. Loved this last album, and especially this song, which brings tears to my eyes every time.
Unlike a lot of other “seasoned” singers his voice is still great. I saw him in 1980-81 and again twice recently. The man still got it. Thanks for the memories Mr Seger

My wife & I saw him 11/8/06 in Grand Rapids, Mi. He rocked. 12K seats sold out in 4 minutes. His new songs sounded great. The best thing about Bob is that he sings his songs from the heart and doesn't care what people think about him (he showed up on stage in a black t-shirt & blue jeans) It was a great show, I doubt if anybody was disappointed. He did comment though" Man, I sure feel 61 years old" towards the end of the show. Bob's always been one of my favorites, always will be.

Been listening to Seger since he first came out. My life has been so blessed by his music and some songs have helped me through some VERY difficult times. I relate to EVERY song. EXCELLENT artist! His last concert was just as great, he put on quite a wonderful show in Cleveland!
I had the pleasure of being in the studio with his drummer awhile back. You learn a lot about an artist by those who worked for him. I gained more respect for Bob than any artist I know by the stories shared. Old or not, he's still the man.
I just love Bob Seger’s music catalog. He just seems to get better with age. This story isn’t related to this song in particular, but it references Mr. Seger. I was working on the deck of a commercial fishing boat out of Chatham, MA. one day back in 2011. So, we were picking up a string of gillnets, and we had the satellite radio playing. Bob Seger’s “Against the Wind” came on, and the captain said “Boys, let’s keep the chatter down, for this is God singing”. I think that captain may be on to something 🤔
This man is the very best and he has been personally against all odds. Was at his comback tour after he beat cancer. Of all my live concerts this was the absolute best. A true legend

They both play guitar and when we are sitting around the firepit with friends there are lots of his sings played and sang. #1 is Against the Wind. I’m truly glad to meet you and thank you again.
My very first concert, 3rd row seats in Denver in the 70's. Best concert ever when the sax player played on the 2 row balcony, I was afraid he would fall. I then attended Bob's farewell concert in Bozeman, Montana. What a difference in ticket price from the 70's to now, but worth it.

Bob Seger's music crosses all genres of music, rock, pop, adult contemporary, rhythm & blues, soul, country. He has performed with many of the other great singers out there, Eagles, Bruce, Martina McBride, Patty Loveless, John Fogarty, Kid Rock, his band Silver Bullet Band, just to name a few. Over 50 years performing from the early 60's. His music is timeless!
His music is like a warm blanket on a cold winters night.... heading out to the states in march for a road trip and "Roll me away" and "Against the wind" will be on repeat!
I grew up with his eight track in the player and cruising up and down state street in Utah back in the 70s. Listening to main street cranked up real loud and just having fun. Just saw him on his 2019 final tour. It was my last wish because I am dying of cancer at 58 and he was the only one that I've ever wanted to see in concert. Thank you Bob Seger. And thank you for the memories.

I first saw Bob in person at the "Battle of the Bands" at the old Ford Rotunda, in the late 1960's.
We were also there for "Live Bullet" and the "Pontiac Silver dome" Concert.
I just love hearing that older, wise man voice of Bob. He's older in this song, but oh so reverend and loved. No matter when this man lets the pipe ring loud, he puts out a song that is meaningful and beloved. God bless you, Bob Seger.

Few weeks ago I was watching this video. Had a few beers . Enjoying myself. The next day I went to the local Harley dealership and bought a Wide Glide . Bob. Seger will do that to a guy . Keeps ya young .

Can't believe how fast the years have gone by. I've been around for his whole career and watched as we've aged together. Loved this last album, and especially this song, which brings tears to my eyes every time.
Unlike a lot of other “seasoned” singers his voice is still great. I saw him in 1980-81 and again twice recently.
The man still got it.

My wife & I saw him 11/8/06 in Grand Rapids, Mi. He rocked. 12K seats sold out in 4 minutes. His new songs sounded great. The best thing about Bob is that he sings his songs from the heart and doesn't care what people think about him (he showed up on stage in a black t-shirt & blue jeans) It was a great show, I doubt if anybody was disappointed. He did comment though" Man, I sure feel 61 years old" towards the end of the show. Bob's always been one of my favorites, always will be.

Been listening to Seger since he first came out. My life has been so blessed by his music and some songs have helped me through some VERY difficult times. I relate to EVERY song. EXCELLENT artist! His last concert was just as great, he put on quite a wonderful show in Cleveland!

I had the pleasure of being in the studio with his drummer awhile back. You learn a lot about an artist by those who worked for him. I gained more respect for Bob than any artist I know by the stories shared. Old or not, he's still the man.

I was working on the deck of a commercial fishing boat out of Chatham, MA. one day back in 2011. So, we were picking up a string of gillnets, and we had the satellite radio playing. Bob Seger’s “Against the Wind” came on, and the captain said “Boys, let’s keep the chatter down, for this is God singing”.

My very first concert, 3rd row seats in Denver in the 70's. Best concert ever when the sax player played on the 2 row balcony, I was afraid he would fall. I then attended Bob's farewell concert in Bozeman, Montana. What a difference in ticket price from the 70's to now, but worth it.

I grew up with his eight track in the player and cruising up and down state street in Utah back in the 70s. Listening to main street cranked up real loud and just having fun. Just saw him on his 2019 final tour. It was my last wish because I am dying of cancer at 58 and he was the only one that I've ever wanted to see in concert. Thank you Bob Seger. And thank you for the memories.
